Author has written 4 stories for House, M.D.. I'm a fortysomething year old House fanatic who has enjoyed reading many great stories here over the last few years and recently decided to take a plunge into the waters and start writing a bit myself. I am not and WILL not ever call myself a writer. This is for fun. Hugh Laurie is amazing in the role of the sarcastic doc. His performance is incredible and he can say more with those gorgeous blue eyes than most other actors can say verbally. Did that make any sense? I'm a sucker for hurt!House. Can't really explain why except maybe because I like to see a strong character like House being put in a vulnerable situation, maybe show a bit more of his weaker side. Makes me want to hug him. Also, I like to see how the characters around him respond to the situation. Maybe it's that Florence Nightingale effect. Of course, my stories usually involve House hurting in some cruel way. I try to keep it light and not be too angsty but one day I may try my hand at that genre. I'm also more about the visuals and am not very good at getting inside the character's head. Don't look for an in depth analysis of House or Wilson's psyche. Oh, by the way, my favorite pairing is House/Wilson friendship, even though I will read slash but won't write it. Edit: I've attempted a bit of slash with Fun and Games. Nothing graphic, though. I'm still too much of a wuss. Honestly, I don't watch much television except for House. You'll catch me watching either the Weather Channel, Discovery Channel or a hockey game. Sounds exciting, huh. My interests outside of the House fandom include: My husband, my son, our crazy Australian Shepherd. I LOVE playing ice hockey for Team Glacier (www.teamglacier.com if you're interested) , practicing Tae Kwon Do (have made it to deputy black belt as of 6/30/09),I also love playing softball and tennis. A little story about my username. My first name is Brenda and I've been an avid motorcyclist since the age of about eight. Grew up riding dirt bikes, raced motocross then graduated to street bikes. About six years ago I finally bought my dream bike; A 1996 Yamaha Vmax 1200. One of my friends started calling me Bmax and the name stuck. I've used it as my online name ever since. Now I would love to have a Honda CBR Repsol replica to go with my black beast. Maybe some day... | |||||||
