Author has written 22 stories for Pokemon, Mercedes Lackey, Yu Yu Hakusho, Gundam Wing/AC, David Eddings, Lord of the Rings, and Fullmetal Alchemist. (Formerly Jesanae Tekani) -Updates ~~UPDATES~~: 11/23/09: I've been bitten by an original piece over the last two days, which is absolutely the worst time for that to happen, but I'll see whether or not it can be shelved adequately so I can get back to CD. I tell myself that if I REALLY buckle down, I'll manage to finish Chapter 24 by the end of the month. A fond dream, this, and one I cherish. I'm also going to try to make some new YYH poetry. I think perhaps I just need to rewatch the series; inspiration's been low, and that usually helps. I also need time out to read more fanfic. >.> ~~ABOUT ME~~: I'm female, twenty-three years old, and currently very tired - a perpetual state of affairs for me. I started writing fics about ten years ago (which, in retrospect, scares me just a little). I'm a married student with both a wonderful husband and a live-in, long-term girlfriend, as well as a herd of five highly adorable cats, and I'm studying English in order to obtain the appropriate degree so that I may become a professional copy-editor; I plan to seriously pursue writing in the future, but probably not as a career, unless one counts the aforementioned copy-editor position. Much of what I have posted here is very old, and some of it shames me, but I try to remove anything I come (in retrospect) to regard as a truly awful eyesore, as I refuse to voluntarily contribute to the volume of fanfiction slime already taking over the internet. Also, the thought of its existence anywhere near the eyes of humanity keeps me up at night. I've been guilty of gratuitous angst, a single (but still shameful) Mary Sue, and slapstick for slapstick's sake, but I like to think I've been getting better. Angst, humor and poetry are my forte, and any other genre I've managed to write adequately is strictly accidental. Currently embroiled in a single, very long, very soul-sucking WIP; six years in the making now, and still somehow not done. I am highly irked by unexplained OOCness in any form, and have been known to stop reading a story the moment I encounter it. That said, I'm a HUGE believer in developing characters rather than keeping them static. That's how I get away with the pairings I do. (eyedart) And speaking of pairings, it should be noted that I write and read shonen-ai and yaoi. I also hit shoujo-ai and yuri once in a while when the mood strikes, although it's generally harder to find it well-written. I don't ever write explicit stories, though, due to having no feel whatsoever for articulating sex scenes. I'm more of a UST kind of girl. Please don't hesitate to message or e-mail me if you have questions as to my current projects, future projects, or anything else. I'm usually fairly approachable if you don't, y'know, flame. ~~CURRENT WORKS~~: Fics being worked on right now are: 'Changing Death (Rewrite)' (YYH): In-progress rewrite of 'Changing Death'. 79 per cent complete. Chapter 23 of 29 posted 9/29/09. Next update projected at c. 11/30/09. 'Waking the Lost' (YYH/FMA crossover): Novel-length divergence crossover. 1 per cent complete; post date uncertain. May be set up as sequel for CD. 'The Cepheid Variable' (YYH/FMA/GW crossover): Novel-length divergence crossover; follows WtL. 1 per cent complete; post date to follow completion of WtL. 'Patchwork Demons' (YYH): One-shot genfic. 10 per cent complete; post date uncertain. 'Error Out' (YYH): Kurama/Kuwabara one-shot. 10 per cent complete; post date uncertain. 'Demonic Digital' (YYH/Digimon crossover): Working title (suggestions welcome). One-shot crackfic. 67 per cent complete; post date uncertain. ~~LINKS~~: My original poetry, song and other stuff can be found at: My livejournal, which is usually unrelated whining but will occasionally contain fanfic-related things, can be found at: ~~PLEASE NOTE~~: Look, it pains me to even THINK about including this, because it seems ridiculous and pretentious, but don't plagiarize my poetry. Seriously. Due to recent issues I've had with this, including one poem that appeared in six separate places on the internet - all claiming it as "original" poetry - I feel it's prudent to point out that I'm kind of alerted to the problem now, and will be conducting regular sweeps. Really, some of the ones I found elsewhere weren't even the ones I consider really good, so I don't particularly understand why they get so much attention. In any case, it's kind of double-fail to plagiarize a fanfiction and claim it's original, anyway, since you're also treading on the source material's property, and in general it's a bad idea; in addition, I'm fond of my fanfiction poetry, and would rather it not get nicked. So, in sum: don't do this. It makes the baby Jesus cry. ALSO NOTE: All individually-posted YYH poetry removed 11/22/09, and reposted as one contiguous story. Sorry for the shuffle, and double-sorry for the alert deluge. I did take screenshots of everything before I removed it, however, in case the above issue becomes an issue again. | |||||||||||||
