6/26/08: Chapter 16 is posted, still regrettably without beta. Her computer broke, so I'm not hassling her; it's possible there will be revisions made and a reposting done if she does get back to me with advice.
Chapter 4 of the rewrite is progressing nicely enough. I'm not sure exactly how it's going to work, but I think it'll end up being an amalgamation of the original Chapters 2 and 3. Wish me luck.
~~ABOUT ME~~:
I'm female, 22 years old, and currently very tired (a perpetual state of affairs for me). I started writing fics about nine years ago. I'm a liberal arts student studying to be an editor; I plan to seriously pursue writing in the future and possibly make an indirect career of it, via the aforementioned editor position. Much of what I have posted here is very old, and some of it shames me, but I try to remove things if I think they're truly awful eyesores. I've been guilty of gratuitous angst, a single (but still shameful) Mary Sue, and slapstick for slapstick's sake, but I like to think I've been getting better. Angst, humor and poetry are my forte, and any other genre I've managed to write adequately is strictly accidental.

Tertiary fandoms: Pokemon, Slayers, Harry Potter, Digimon, Star Trek TOS, Wolf's Rain
I am highly irked by unexplained OOCness in any form, and have been known to stop reading a story the moment I encounter it. You've been warned. That said, I'm a HUGE believer in developing characters rather than keeping them static. That's how I get away with the pairings I do. (eyedart) And speaking of . . .
I WRITE AND READ SHONEN-AI & YAOI. I also hit shoujo-ai and yuri once in a while when the mood strikes. My two wonderfully contradicting yet simultaneous OTPs for Yu Yu Hakusho are Hiei/Kurama/Hiei and Yuusuke/Kurama/Yuusuke, although I'm certainly not above trying my hand at other pairings (especially for YYH, there's so much intricacy there). Hiei/Yuusuke/Hiei is one that pulls on my brain occasionally, and given that, it's hard not to fall into Hiei/Kurama/Yuusuke/Kurama/Hiei as well, especially after Blossomwitch did it so well in 'Balm of Gilead'.
Other OTPs include: Lina/Amelia/Lina and Xelloss/Filia/Xelloss (Slayers), Russel/Edward/Russel and Roy/Havoc/Roy (Fullmetal Alchemist), Duo/Quatre/Duo and Wufei/Heero/Wufei (Gundam Wing), Taichi/Yamato/Taichi and Sora/Mimi/Sora (Digimon), Jessie/James/Jessie and Gary/Misty/Gary (Pokemon), Harry/Draco/Harry and Ginny/Hermione/Ginny (Harry Potter), Kiba/Hige/Kiba and Hige/Toboe/Hige (Wolf's Rain). Why I have two for each series, I am not sure. o.o

This list is as follows: for in-series canon, the fics 'Define Mercy', 'Precision', 'Arrogance', 'How Far to Trust', and 'Downfall'; for post-series canon, the fic 'To Hold You High'. This list may be expanded as she gifts us with more happy gems of insight into what Togashi-sama did not have the opportunity to include.
