Author has written 22 stories for X-Files, JAG, Stargate: Atlantis, StarTrek: Enterprise, Unit, Felicity, Private Practice, NCIS, and Royal Pains. I'm Kathleen, I'm in my 40's ... I like to people watch and make up stories in my mind about random people off the street. I can spend hours at a coffee shop or the park just getting lost in my thoughts. I learned a lot about describing places, people and scenes from my friend Lindsay -- she lost her sight as an adult, so when I write, I read to her and she'll say "I can't see that" ... so it taught me a lot about making stories feel real, instead of just being words on the page. I write because it relaxes me ... I loved being swept away into another world ... or a life that is more exciting than my own. When I'm really caught up in a story, it consumes me ... I dream about my characters, think about them when I'm stuck in traffic driving to work, wonder about them when I'm doing some menial task at work and need to keep my mind occupied. I bounce ideas off my friends to see what they think... sometimes I have to "practice" as scene or two (heeheehee -- evil grin) to make sure it flows okay. Generally I rate my stories M for adult content because in real life people swear, say inappropriate things, make innuendos about stuff that others may find offensive and have sex. (those are nothing that I'd want my mother to read). I have been known to write a few more general rated stories though. My Original Characters are based on people I know in real life.
