Author has written 12 stories for Batman, Phantom of the Opera, and Teen Titans.

~ Info About Me! Hooray!~

I'm just an obsessive fangirl making it through one day at a time. I enjoy spending time with my family, best friends, and darling boyfriend. I also like shopping, curling up with a good book or graphic novel, and volunteering.

I hate action during shows, it's so boring, but can stand it if it's padded with drama or talking. My favorite colors are any that you may find on a bruise. I'm a Taurus. I consistently love everything (except math) and it has been said that being too optimistic is one of my major faults. DVD commentaries are awesome and I write best next to a window during a daytime rainstorm. In case you care, though I'm not under the impression that you do, I put french vanilla creamer in my coffee. (Which I drink cold.)

I very rarely, if ever, feel comfortable leaving reviews lately. So know that if I fave or alert your story, it is because I loved it to pieces and just consider that a virtual squee and hug from me to you. (Along with some good ol' virtual awkwardness.) Occasionally, I may PM a review instead with the hope that you don't think I'm a crazy person.

Also, I'll always answer a signed review! I adore feedback, but feel silly begging for it. Nevertheless, it absolutely makes my day to see a new comment or a fave alert pop into my inbox. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has made me smile with these.

~More About My Writing Or Whatever~

My writing influences include Douglas Adams, MST3K, Joss Whedon, Quentin Tarantino, sitcoms, and classic literature from after the turn of the 20th century. Also, diet cherry Pepsi. My writing focuses on the mundane, even in fantastic settings or situations, and my increasing obsession with period clothing. I have fetishes for scarred men in masks and aging jerks, as well as dark or taboo romances, and I really, really dig May/December couples. Seriously. All of my ships or preferred pairings will feature at least one or more of these. (Other things I like writing about: drug abuse, heavy manipulation, domestic chatter, and chain-smoking.)

When I write dialogue, I prefer putting it as people actually speak, with pauses and false starts, as well as distractions or fumbling in-between words. I like the Rule of Three, Sophisticated as Hell, and weird little observances. So, yeah, I totally know my writing is majorly bizarre because of all this. And if you don't gel with it...well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

Shippiness is all well and good, but only if there's a very healthy amount of realism to hold it up. I think that is what, if you'll excuse the expression, separates the men from the boys around here. Not that there's anything wrong with being overly optimistic with a couple or story, that is a fine and welcome part of any fandom, but I'm afraid my brain is wired in completely different direction. I'm sadly forced to deal in the realm of logic...even if it impedes the progression of a pairing. TL;DR: I don't believe in writing "twu lurve" or absurdly happy endings. (Hey, but I don't like character death either! So there is something.)

Of course I enjoy many different genres, but, as you may tell from my writing, I enjoy slice of life stories and one-shots above nearly all else. I've also always had a soft spot for humor and parody gone horribly right. And I'm afraid I LOVE both Plot with Porn and Alternate Universes, both of which are joys to read when gone about correctly. (Which they rarely are.) Fluff, however, is an entirely different subject and is one thing that I can only take in very small doses, when I'm in a very specific mood. I do not write or read things that are blatantly out of character, often to the point of blandness. (I'm looking at you, Harry Potter fandom!)

I do not tolerate character bashing and do not participate in such sad antics. It is unnecessary and out of place. For every reader you have that despises the character you're portraying in a bad light as much as you, there is another reader who is immediately put off by the same thing. It's rather alienating, is what I'm saying.

~What I'm Up To~

In the realm of WIPs: I have several Slade/Terra pieces I'm playing with at the moment, all rather short and in the same vein as "Potential". Some Erik/Christine patchwork fics that are heavily Kay-influenced and increasingly disturbing. And, of course, numerous other stories dabbling in Batman, Labyrinth, and uh... some other fandoms I forget about until they show up, I guess.

I intend on going back over and re-editing all of my work from 2006-2007, including the "Performance Art" ending and "Infamous Secrets" in its entirety, when I find the time. I know they kinda suck as is. You need not tell me. As of March 2nd, 2011 I have started this process. So when you see a RE-EDITED in a summary, that means you can read it without me cringing. (Too much.)

Additional Oddball Ships/Pairings of the Moment: Captain Hook/Wendy, Sailor Venus/Kunzite, Snape/Luna, and Rogue/Gambit. Also, those uncomfortable little stories that involve Shang fighting a wholly bizarre and inexplicable attraction to Mulan still disguised as "Ping". Oh! And those hideously adorable family bonding fics with Vegeta and his kids. Yeah, I don't get it either.

~ Pimpage ~

I encourage you to check out my Favorite Stories listing. There dwells some of the best I can offer from my various fandoms. I'm constantly adding to it. Making it better. Stronger. Faster...Well, maybe that depends on your browser.

I manage a C2 community, "Brilliance Amongst the Rocks", dedicated to Star Wars fanfiction that has a low probability of making your eyes bleed. These stories range from "meh, okay" to "HOLY SHIT", but they're all relatively readable and encompass a wide variety of characters and situations. I was sick of digging through crap to find decent, researched stuff and wish to spare others the same hassle. So if you think that interests you, or you'd like to help me stay on the first page of listings, by all means subscribe to it. (Remember kids, there's nothing more unforgivable than being ignorant of the fandom you're working in. Don't be afraid to ask around. Wookieepedia is your friend!)

Be sure to check out my buddy to the north, TheMadPuppy, on my Favorite Authors list. She is the ultimate source for your Joker/Harley shippy cravings. She also writes damn good Evil Clown Porn as well. Definitely visit my good friend Gladrial10's profile too. Her stuff is top-notch obsessive JHQ, and I should know because I'm her official beta and source of inspiration. She knows everything about the comics, and I haven't yet been able to stump her with a question she didn't know. (shakes fist) One day, Amanda! ONE DAY!

Those two ruffians, along with myself, are the maintainers of a horrifyingly delightful little Livejournal community called JokerxHarley, which is about (you guessed it) all things Joker, Harley, or JHQ. Shipper or not, as long as you dig one of those three elements we'd love to have you!

Gladrial and I have also joined forces to bring you the collaborative account, Henchwenchesforhire. We've got three fics posted and another four in the works, so go check that out.
