Poll: Are the observed Grammar, Spelling, and/or plot-hole mistakes in DC Phantom or my other works bad enough to warrant a Beta-reader; keep in mind, this would mean a longer time between updates. Would my readers prefer the 'standard quality' or take a hit in 'quantity' for somewhat better material? Vote Now! |
Author has written 8 stories for Harry Potter, Teen Titans, Code Geass, Detective Conan/Case Closed, Marvel, Hellsing, Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha, Danny Phantom, and Naruto. Okay, Slayer Anderson here and this is a little about me... I'm male and an Anime Otaku. I'm a graduate of High School and a hometown college. I can't actually list all of the Anime I've seen here. The list would actually overload my bio page. Suffice to say, I've been an anime fan for over half my life at this point. I'm also a serious fan of Western Animation such as Danny Phantom and the Teen Titans. Fanfiction was a natural jump from my devotion to fandoms to my creation of personal homages to those same fandoms. Life: I had one once...I think I'm using it as a book end for my Love Hina Manga Other stuff I like: Harry Potter, Twilight (Books 1-3, not book 4), Dresden Files, Dead Witch Walking Series, Anything by Eric Flint, Max Brooks, or Harry Turtledove, and Scott's Westerfield's Leviathan and Midnight Hour series. I'm not much of a comic fan, but I do like to dip into the classics from the Golden Age: Batman, Superman, X-men, etc...and compare them to the gritty reboots they've gotten over the years. The Fanfiction: Upcoming Works: (Upcoming Works is a very loose title. These may or may not even 'pan out' into full stories worthy of publishing. I just felt some of my reader should know that, even if I don't put something out, I AM working on SOMETHING...usually. Other times I'm being lazy.) Spark of the Revolution: LIBERTY & JUSTICE turned out to be flops, so I formatted and sliced and diced until I made something that only barely resembled the old copies. Spark centers around a shadowy mastermind who manipulates a group of freedom fighters into a fierce rebellion that threatens to overthrow Britannian oppression of Area 11. Sound familiar? That's all well and good, but Lelouch is one of the pieces on the board this time around, edging ever-closer to victory at the direction of the mysterious Prophet, but what are this figure's aims and goals? Current Projects: DC Phantom: The HIVE Minded Rewrite I've promised for something like 2 years, is finally coming to fruition due to a general relaxation of my personal life. It is truly glorious to have time to write again. Marvel Phantom: An off-shoot of DC Phantom. Basically, Danny Phantom set in a Marvel 'verse. For those Marvel fans, this is not the 'classic' 616 reality, but rather a fusion of some of the new 'teen hero' media like Iron Man: Armored Adventures On Haitus: Zilch, Nada, Zippo. Discontinued: Due to the June 2012 Story Purge, some of these have been deleted to accommodate the change in Rules & Regulations as well as the enforcement thereof. I am sorry if you liked these, though I do have backup copies if someone is REALLY interested in acquiring one. PM me for details, as for myself, I don't consider these any great loss. Mercurial: Homeward Bound: Discontinued. People have complained about this being a 'Gary-stu.' They're exactly right. I actually wanted to write a Harry Potter fic about a multi-verse jumping Harry that came back and turned out to be ultra-powerful. Don't look at me like that, it was relaxing to something a little (or a lot) cliche. Discontinued for obvious reasons. Arcane Systems: My take on a 'crazy' Harry. Yes, a really, really, really crazy Harry. Yeah, this is just a barrel of cliches as well, and a crossover with Hellsing. Age of Gods: Discontinued. Yeah, sorry, but it was turning into a very confusing piece of crap. Few reviews and an overall dislike for how the story turned out on my part just kill what interest I had in writing this one. Artificial Intelligence: Discontinued. Unless I get a massive surge of ideas for this fic I don't have any drive or inspiration towards going any further with it, which I know is a disappoint for many of you. Transcendent Serpent: Discontinued. Well, it was an...interesting idea, but there were massive planning fallacies that were readily apparent when I took the time to do a few re-reads. Current Warnings: I'm on TV Tropes! Thank you, everyone who plugged my stories, good and/or bad! JUSTICE is also on tvtropes, look under crossovers. http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/FanficRecs/CodeGeass HIVE Minded is just a blurb right now under Danny Phantom Fanfic recommendations. http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/FanficRecs/DannyPhantom UPDATE-05/06/2013 Well, this has been an eventful month! Let's see, I turned 25, got a new story out, finished 3 grad papers, and now I'm getting finals for my 'other' classes done with...it's really weird being a student and a teacher at the same time, but at least I have a comeback for those kids who love to say 'you just don't understand! Five page papers aren't FAIR!" Anyway, Marvel Phantom: This has been way more fun to write than I had thought, it just kinda poured itself out onto the page. And the setting! Marvel is just so fun to play around in. DC Phantom kind of took a back seat to it for a bit, but writing Marvel Phantom has actually gotten the gears churning on DC Phantom too, surprisingly enough. Let's see, chapter 5 for DC is at...6 pages? Yup. So...I might have another chapter of DC up...sometime soon? Maybe. Probably. Possibly? By the way, I looked over the plot-scripts I had for DC and...yeah, they got trashed. I discovered that I did really like the direction I had originally planned, back when I was writing HIVE-Minded, so I'm going a different direction. And, for those of you who are curious? This new direction actually involves a companion piece which I'm tentatively calling AC Phantom, which will focus on Amity Park without Danny Fenton/Phantom. This is primarily due to me wanting to reuse some of the DP cast in the DC universe. About the only little niggling detail I worry about is the fact that DC Phantom may get a little...dark, which may put off some readers. Oh, and my poll's still up...(palms face) I forgot all about that. Eh, guess I'll keep it up for old times' sake. For those of you who are new or just never noticed it, feel free to express your opinion. | |||||||
