Author has written 3 stories for Captain Power.

I don’t know why I’m writing this. I think it’s because there were over 200 hits on my profile when I last checked. I’m starting to feel a bit guilty that it’s been empty all this time.

I’m not a writer, nor do I play one on TV. I’m enthusiastic about several shows, but they’re all from so long ago that most people say, “I’ve never heard of it”. It’s not surprising. And all the shows that I fell in love with never had a resolution when they ended.

So this enthusiasm has prompted me to begin writing. Sure, I’m twisting things to make them the way I want them. But that’s the best part about this kind of writing, now isn’t it? It may have been someone else’s story at the beginning, but it’s my ending. I get to decide what happens and know what? That makes me one happy camper.

I don’t own any of the characters, but I adore them. Yes, I do know they’re not real. The life that the actors, actresses and original writers breathed into the characters has kept them alive for such a long time. And having been in contact with so many of the folks involved with the characters in “ Phoenix” makes them feel that much more alive. It’s just amazing.

Not counting letters to friends and family, the last thing I actually wrote was in 1986, when I won a writing contest at the local library. The story was entered at the absolute last possible minute. Who knew aliens that dripped acid would actually win an award? (Oh yes, they dripped acid. Looking back, I have no idea how they didn’t destroy their ships. But hey, we can’t all be perfect. I didn’t have a beta reader back then!)

So this means I don’t consider myself a writer. I’m just playing with this. If you get some enjoyment out of any of it, well, that’s just the icing on the cake. (Even if you don’t like icing on your cake. Or don’t like cake. I happen to like both.)
