Author has written 10 stories for Phantom of the Opera. First of all, many thanks to Stefanie_Bean, who not only beta-read, but also helped me put up my first story on this site. Being Swedish, I've always felt a special affinity for Christine Daaé in the Phantom of the Opera. Leroux throws out some tantalizing fragments about her background, but leaves much to the imagination. ALW does little to fill in the blanks. My own upbringing and knowledge of Swedish traditions and folktales may add some colour to the sketchily painted background of Leroux' little Lotte. Or rather, how her life started. It is generally agreed that Christina Nilsson was Leroux' inspiration for the character of Christine Daaé, and it gave my story an extra twist to mix more fact and fiction.
