Author has written 10 stories for Phantom of the Opera.

First of all, many thanks to Stefanie_Bean, who not only beta-read, but also helped me put up my first story on this site.

Being Swedish, I've always felt a special affinity for Christine DaaƩ in the Phantom of the Opera. Leroux throws out some tantalizing fragments about her background, but leaves much to the imagination. ALW does little to fill in the blanks. My own upbringing and knowledge of Swedish traditions and folktales may add some colour to the sketchily painted background of Leroux' little Lotte.

Anyone interested in more information about some of the supernatural beings mentioned in my story "A Midsummer Night's Dream" might find a visit to the phantomoftheopera.com site rewarding, and this thread in particular of especial interest: http://www.phantomoftheopera.com/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=4516&forum=2

My drabble "Motherhood" incorporates a real event from the life of the Swedish singer, Christina Nilsson. Or rather, how her life started. It is generally agreed that Christina Nilsson was Leroux' inspiration for the character of Christine DaaƩ, and it gave my story an extra twist to mix more fact and fiction. All in the spirit of Leroux.

May 2007. Have put up some more stories, the majority are entries from various contests at mortrouge.com. "Luncheon on the Grass" came joint second in the Spring drabble contest, which is a good placing for a non E/C pairing.

Many thanks and a bottle of champagne to Operafantomet and Falluke-elskeren at phantomoftheopera.com, who found and translated Andreas Munch's "The Child's First Sorrow" about Little Lotte, that inspired me for the tory of the same name. This poem is mentioned by Leroux in his "Phantom of the Opera". Read more about it at
