Favourite Anime

Samurai X - Tsuioku Hen (Samurai X - Trust and Betrayal): I believe that it is one of the best anime out there. It told its story, wasn't long and drawn out, had good characters, fantastic art style, and the right balance of romance, action, drama and a little bit of history. If you have not seen it, I highly recommend that you watch it.

Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha (Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha): This includes MGLN A's and Strikers. While I can't say its different from other magical girl anime (at least not until the Strikers season), I did enjoy it. It was not overly flashy, and was pretty simple; no complex, drawn out, hard-to-keep-track-of storylines. The characters were memorable, and had their own little trials. It was nice.

Favourite Manga

Iono-sama Fanatics (Iono the Fanatics): I won't say it was very well written, or that it had a deep storyline, or even that it touched me on some strange ethereal level. This manga is simply a favourite of mine. It is outrageous beyond belief, and only seeks to amuse the reader in 2 short volumes. I thoroughly enjoyed it, which is why it is here.

Favourite Cartoons

Teen Titans: ... ... ... ... Not much to say on this. I just enjoyed watching it.

Pucca: Thoroughly enjoyable. It is sheer genius.

Favourite TV Shows

Gilmore Girls: Up until the college segment, it was wonderful. Dean was ignorable and Lorelai and Luke were cute. Then everything just got ruined for me. The last episode I watched was when Luke said no when Lorelai asked him to elope with her. It broke my heart when she went to Christopher for comfort.

NCIS: Ahhh... yes. This was interesting. Still is actually.

Favourite Movies

V for Vendetta: Marvelous, wonderful, spectacular, awesome, greatness reincarnated. Are there any other words that I can use to describe the genius that is V for Vendetta? No? Ok. My point has been made.

Phantom of the Opera (2004): The phantom made all the heartbreak worthwhile.

Note: No, I do not have a fetish for masks. This is just entirely coincidental.

The Stories I Write

Most of my stories are not of the brighter aspect. I'm branching out into something different with my Mai Hime fanfics though. My Naruto fanfics will most likely remain angsty and tragic. And I'm trying to understand the true concept of romance. Not having been in a relationship of my own makes it hard to truly grasp what it is like, and all I really have to go on is what I've seen of other relationships. But I am trying.

Most of my stories will center around female characters. Why? Well, because I am female. Understanding the male mind beyond limited insight is not something I can pretend to do. I will try later on to get my male characters more involved in the story though. But for now, there is a sufficient lack of need for them beyond one or two. Reason being, lack of them in the anime I watch, and lack of their involvement with the characters I write about.

Pairings

If they work together, that's good. If they don't work together, that's bad. Pairings should be feasible on some level. However, if you can make an outrageous pairing understandable, that's good for you. I and my limited romance writing skills cannot do that. I will be wrecking my non-romantic brain to try and write my Mai Hime fanfiction.

On NaruAnko. Anko is a woman. Naruto is a boy. Anko is sadistic. Naruto is optimistic as hell and damn annoying. Anko will never like Naruto. She won't hate him, at a stretch she'll feel sorry for him and won't be outwardly mean. She will never, however, jump into bed with him. Will not blush at his comments. Would laugh if he even approached her in that way. I am sure you are all perfectly aware of this. This pairing would never, even in the most outlandish fanfics, work. Forcing it to work would be completely disrespectful to Anko's character. There is no way you could keep Anko from being OOC, and in the end she would not BE Anko, and would generally be a character you made up in place of the real Anko to make your pairing work. The same goes for the changing of Naruto's character into someone Anko is more plausible to tolerate. I believe I have made myself clear.

Naruto

67 Days in the Fishtank - A story drifting just barely into the horror category, though I don't think it is all that frightening. It's an AU which places Naruto as a present day construction worker who lives with his girlfriend, Sakura. He gets a job to help a demolition team take down an ancient building and meets Hinata. The perfectly preserved, frozen corpse kept in a giant tank in what was the "basement".

The Dark Side of Innocence - A Hinata-centered story that's a bit different from how I usually do things. In this I took Hinata from her clan, placed her under the care of a young, still-in-training Sai, and just... well... experimented on her I guess. I'm having the most fun with this idea and the plot is mostly worked out, so I should be able to start writing it soon.

Of Birds, Wolves and Dragons: Evolution - This one involves both Naruto and Hinata. I guess it's similar to a bunch of other "Naruto and Hinata get put under the same sensei who makes them super strong" stories out there. But mine is just a little different in a few ways. Firstly, Hinata will be able to kick Naruto's ass if necessary, she will be no damsel in distress. Naruto will not have a harem. They will not be so strong that they are basically walking demi-gods or whatever, and no, Kyuubi will not actively assist in Naruto's training. This one has tonnes of cursing.

The Pain of the Masks We Bear - Really dark. Evil Hinata, evil Naruto, a plot twist maybe. The plotting of the destruction of Konoha, and maybe a little Akatsuki. Written in first person p.o.v. Obviously this is a work in progess plot wise.

Citizens Law - Alas, it came in a dream. It's Naruto. Only its... well, I'm not sure to call it AU... It has all the ninja stuff still in it, only, the citizens are taking over. How? Through gangs armed with some pretty heavy artillary and a surprise attack. How else? This one has the feel of being long. Not to mention I'm also planning its prequel.

It Started With a Book - Idea I got when reading another fanfic. Obviously it's not the same as said fanfic. Basically there's this otherworldly book with a lot of things written in it that could cause the fall and or uprise of all human kind. Then there's the little fact that Shego's in charge of keeping it from evil hands. No, not AU.

Teen Titans

Freedom is Just Another Form of Slavery - Raven under the tutelage of Slade with a little help from Red X and a sinister plan in the works that she has to stop. I know what you're thinking, and no, Slade and Red X aren't the big baddies... Oh, she was forced to take a "break" from the Titans too. Which is how this entire mess started.

Mai HiME

Pain: The Rewrite - As stated in the title, this is the rewrite of another story, Pain by SpEclaLxSt0rleS, written with their permission. An AU that places Natsuki in a position against the Japanese Navy (or military... I'm still thinking on how best to go about this). Shiznat of course, I have no interest in any other pairing in this fandom. It's supposed to be dark, but I'm trying to work my way into that darkness with a strange, gradual bluntness. Odd, isn't it?

Grey Extinction - I had said that I wouldn't make my Mai Hime stories angsty and tragic, and indeed some of them aren't. This one is. I apologize, but I could not resist. It's not planned to be a happy ending for all concerned, but I don't think I have it in me to make it truly tragic. So I took Kruger Natsuki (instead of Kuga) and Viola Shizuru, placed them in a different world, made Natsuki's past pretty black, figuratively and literally, gave Natsuki powers, put Shizuru on the "bad" side. Forced them to meet and... well, I haven't figured out the rest yet, but it should be fun.

Untitled (for now at least) - This one is practically all planned out. All I'm worried about is the romance. Natsuki's a fighter in an underground tournament. Police are on her case because of the murder of her partner Takeda, and Natsuki is in danger because the higher ups in the tourney don't like it when their fighters are involved with police. Did I mention Shizuru was the cop in charge of the case? No? Well, now I have. Obviously AU.

Mai HiME

Pretty Rave Girl - A story that was inspired by the song "Pretty Rave Girl" by I am X-ray. Simply put. Natsuki's falling hard for a mysterious rave girl. Will she ever learn her name? This story is a oneshot that is much more tedious to write than I originally intended. However, I have managed to somewhat mold a serious mistake in writing into something of a more sensible plot and I am back in business.

Natsuki 101: Welcome to Class Shizuru - A very short drabble that I thought I had finished and realized I really had not. I didn't quite describe Natsuki's actions properly which makes it a bit off, and in need of damage control.

You're Beautiful - A oneshot songfic to the song You're Beautiful by James Blunt. I like this idea, and its slowly getting written bit by bit each afternoon and on the weekends. It's about half done now.

Vampire- A short multi-chapter story with a vampire Natsuki and a human Shizuru. I really like the idea for this one. It will have about... maybe five chapters. The writing style for this is a bit different from what I'm used to, but it will hopefully work out well. I can hardly wait until its done so I can share it with all of you. I like it that much.

Don't expect any multi-chapters to be posted anytime soon. I plan to write out a good portion of the story before I start posting. I'm afraid of posting something I'll loose interest in, so I want to make sure that I'll finish it before I start feeding it to the web. No one likes to leave a reader disappointed like that.
