Awesome band moments
2008
Having a killer pit
"Get your butt off the asphalt and go back to your hole."--synth player to toys player
Grounding problems
Section pride day
Not being in guard
Our new pit instructor
2007
Last year we stole on of the cheerleaders for the guard. We were practicing on the football field at the same time as the cheerleaders. Our former cheerleader tumbled down the fifty yard line. The cheerleaders' faces were priceless. The reasons she quit were because the cheerleaders didn't appreciate her and they weren't exactly as Lutheran as they said they were.
Having a trumpet player march flute
The above mentioned trumpet player being complimented for having the best marching form of the flute section.
The above mentioned trumpet player marching with the flute but not playing anything
The above mentioned trumpet player standing there doing nothing during an indoor competition so we wouldn't get docked points for him not playing
Having to toss a six foot metal poll into the air behind our timpani player (Agent047) and trying not to hit her
Us guard people having to get halfway across the field in very little time
Flag caps braking and blots flying across the field missing a flute player because she moved the way she was supposed to move
Having to spin six foot METAL polls while we can see lightning
Whoever says nothing is impossible has never tried to slam a rotating door.
In a play, the tech are very important. We're the ones that make everything possible. We wear black and try not to be seen. We also make everything run smoothly and panic when it doesn't. We are never seen unless it's a blackout.
Then, there are the sound a lighting people who have a hard job. They put in the sound effects and work the microphones, AT THE SAME TIME. The lighting person runs all the lights. If they screw up, it ruins the moment.
Techies have a hard job.

I leave you with one thought: BAND IS A SPORT (we practice more than the football team) sorry cheerleaders but: why is cheerleading a sport if marching band isn't?
What is the difference really? We both practice. We both compete. We both preform at football games. We both support the football team with fire up things: cheerleaders-cheers band-eye of the tiger
Yes cheerleaders go to every football game home and away. the band practices outside for three hours three nights a week.
