Asteria vs. Astoria: I think everyone knows what my favored spelling is, but I really do like both ways. I tend to decide the spelling based on the character I am writing. One may seem like an 'Astoria' rather than an 'Asteria'. I think that the dissention between writers on the subject of her name is simply deplorable. Accept other views on the subject. I recommend looking at your character and making the decision yourself.
