Author has written 12 stories for Harry Potter. 2/21/09: I am currently doing research on the literacy practices of the HP fanfic community here on ff.net. In addition to data from observation, I would love to get personal responses from members by questionnaire. So -- I am looking for volunteers. The questionnaire is a little less than three pages, mainly about your reading and writing habits on ff.net and in real life. For more information, send me a PM or email hpffnetresearch@gmail.com. I designed the questionnaire to be as non-invasive as possible, but let me emphasize that you can feel free to answer only the questions you are comfortable with. As a thank-you, I will produce a ficlet -- at least a 100-word drabble -- for everyone who takes the questionnaire. I will post them as a collection here on ff.net over the course of this summer and dedicate them individually to my volunteers. You will be free to pick your prompts -- keywords, quote, pairing, etc. Again, to sign up or for more info, email hpffnetresearch@gmail.com. Cheers! 11/1/08: I've gotten the bug again. Oh dear. I held out in order to be a responsible member of society for as long as possible... but, well... Deathly Hallows, you know... I am currently engaged on epic novels depicting some of the adventures of the original Order -- why haven't you more talented people done it for me yet, may I demand? -- but, willy-nilly, my notes and planning gave me the material for "Riddikulus," as well as some in-progress works. The first is entitled "One in the Mad-Eye" and is set in '89, while another has the summary: "Mrs Figg is an honest businesswoman. Dung Fletcher isn't." Most bizarrely of all, the final involves Gilderoy Lockhart and Gladys Gudgeon. Don't question the fanfic muses that be. Incidentally, I think HP fandom muses are pixies. | |||||||||
