Author has written 5 stories for Animorphs.

Let it never be said that I am not a tenacious dork: I have been reading - nay, obsessing over - Animorphs from the very beginning, now almost twelve years ago. I bought the books. I submitted letter after letter to Ask KA (she did answer one -- out of exasperation, I think). I spent hours and hours hashing out tiny details in my head, on paper, online...

In short, I am quite qualified to be writing fanfiction about this series. How I continue to justify doing so at twenty years of age is an entirely different question. (I will note that I only work on these stories when I really, absolutely, definitely must finish something else: this is an exceptionally satisfying form of procrastination.)

When I'm not busy procrastinating, I work at Kinko's, go to school at the University of Wisconsin, design posters for the very cool Hoofers Outing Club, and bicycle. Also I dust my Animorphs collection.

So!

Caecus. Caecus is my darling -- but it isn't what you think, I'd say. Caecus is, fundamentally, my attempt to fix #54. As such, I pick up between the end of chapter eight ("war is over") and the start of chapter ten ("one year later"). It's cool and you'll probably like it -- but it's nowhere near done, so be warned. (Unsurprisingly, it contains spoilers for everything imaginable.)

The other stories are rather nice too, I think. They tend more toward "this will make you want to cry" than "epic fic that rewrites canon" but that's okay. I'm personally quite fond of the newest, Balance?, because it has all of my favorite characters in it and touches upon some of the more disturbing stuff that Andalite Chronicles brushed over. These shorter stories tend to be one-shots and, as such, are self-contained and unlikely to be expanded upon.

n.b.: I will be using the single straight quote marks to designate thought-speech from now until the foreseeable future. While this saddens me greatly, I prefer ‹ this › to, say, tildes. For the curious, the codes are "& lsaquo ;" and "& rsaquo ;", without the spaces.
