I realize that there is no possible excuse acceptable enough for my readers at this point. Since my last update back in January '08, I have only been on Fanfiction.net scarcely. So scarcely, in fact, that many of the new features bewilder me. I find myself out of place on the website that used to be like a second home to me. I do not know the state of which my favorite fandoms' recent fics are in anymore, and I highly doubt I'll find any time to sit down and find out. Basically, all of my motivation for writing (and reading, really) has run dry. First it was a lack of time, but now I just can't bring myself to write fiction. And as more standardized tests are thrown my way, I am finding that my essay skills are rapidly deteriorating as well.

So with that, I am sorry to announce my official, extended hiatus from this site. Surely if my readers are reading this now, they would see that this is nothing of a surprise. Here I give up. Make of it what you will.

That said, I was looking back over my most popular fanfic ("Covers, Lyrics, and Rumors") in utter shame a little while ago. The beginning chapters are just garbage... so I've come to terms with myself. Instead of just giving up altogether, I'm going to keep my Rumors Series notes for more time yet. This means that, if I ever do start writing again, I will rewrite "Covers, Lyrics, and Rumors" in a way that I might feel better about.

The catch to rewriting "CLR", if I ever do: I won't repost it on Fanfiction.net. My homepage link is now a link to my LiveJournal page. The chapters will not by friend-locked, again, if I do start writing it again. And the story will not be categorized under the Code Lyoko fandom, as I still have not had the patience to finish the series. The situations will be similiar, Ann and other OCs will carry over, but there will be no Lyoko. The story will be converted into real fiction.

That is, of course, if I ever write again... the chance of which, no matter how much I want it, are slim-to-none.

That is all. I'm so sorry, and I want to thank this community of people so much for giving me the biggest thrill of my life: publishing the less than second-rate writing of another teenager too lazy to make up her own characters, settings, and background plots.

And remember to think of the fanfiction when you publish your own book, movie, comic or television show.

I hope he can be happy... but one has to make one's own happiness."
