Hello my friends, this is Tricia Buisson. I am the head of the English Department at South Harmon Institute of Technology. Many pupils question as to why I dedicate my time to educating young minds English at a Technology Institution. Well, I believe in the education of such a distinguished language. Not to mention, it is extremely irritating to find such bright young kids using such devasting gramatic errors. For example, the common misconception in an everyday greeting. "How are you doing today?" "I'm doing good." INCORRECT! Clearly, good is a modifier only to nouns, NOT verbs. Well is the correct word to use when reffering to verbs, such as "doing". The correct way to respond, would be: "I am doing well." And that is the grammar lesson for today, thank you and come back soon. | |||||||
