Yo' people!

It's been a long, long time since I've updated this thing. Then I read it and almost puked, therefore I decided to update (again). So here's something about little ol' me.

I'm a business student who's all ready to finish her career -in less than a year, le gasp- and a little bit afraid to face the real -real- world. I think I'm a little hesitant about growing up but I can live with that I guess. My priorities have changed now; I'm no longer in a band, nor do I skateboard and I'm not an english teacher anymore (judging by my grammar the little buggers should thank God), but I'm in a stage of life where I'm comfortable with myself and my life, so I'm enjoying being 21.

I've been reading fics since 2003 which makes me feel like a dinosaur in this place. Nah, I'm an elder now so bow to me and shut up! The whole fanfiction.net experience has been great so far and I definitely plan to keep on prowling this place as long as there are good things to read. I'm not an active writer anymore (I know that writing 2 fics doesn't count as active, bleh) but I'm still here to read and review good stories; It's getting harder, but I have faith in writers. I looove writers.

Favorite Anime:

My anime taste seems to change constantly but I'm all for epic plots. Shaman King will ALWAYS have a special place in my heart since it was the fandom that brought me here. Death Note is THE anime, you can't tell me it ain't epic. Black Lagoon, Cowboy Bebop, BECK, X, Naruto, Fooly Cooly, Samurai Champloo and Evangelion are in my favorites list too. I've seen some other stuff too that I also recommend: Blood plus, Wolf's Rain, Jigoku Shoujo, Ghost in the shell -stand alone complex-, ef a tale of memories/ ef a tale of melodies (an angsty and fluffy acid trip that can even melt a manly man's heart), Darker than Black, Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu, and blah blah. Movies count as anime as well and my suggestions are: Grave of the fireflies, Akira, Dead Leaves (makes you feel high) and Jin-Roh.

Favorite Manga:

I still think that manga is always better than anime. Proof? Shaman King, Death Note, BECK and Naruto. Just for the fun of it, search the net to find manga. I've been doing it and I've found amazing stuff: Dogs -bullets and carnage-, Claymore, Darker than Black, Soul Eater and Mirai Nikki.

Favorite Characters:

Few... but good characters. I'm 21 and I still squeal everytime I see and read Horo Horo from Shaman King. Ren comes in second. From Death Note I'm in love with pretty much everyone, but L, Matt and Mello are my main weakness. I'm all for Taira and Chiba from BECK. From Naruto I enjoy reading Sai, Kiba and Naruto. But if I HAD to choose a favorite character I'd say Horo and Matt.

I like to read:

Yes. I like Yaoi and I've been reading it since I came here. I've always said it, I think there's no girl good enough for male characters. But I do enjoy reading het pairings ONLY when they are well written (I've read Sora/Arashi, Hige/Blue, Sasuke/Hinata, and those were good fics), but still I'm in the yaoi ship.

As I said above I will always go for shonen-ai stories but I always try to read everything. If you write an Angst/Drama/Tragedy/Hurt-Comfort story I will read it for sure. I'm a sucker for Horo/Ren/Horo, Matt/Mello, L/Light and well written stories. Oc's are... fine. Urghh, ok, it depends. There are authors out there who create Oc's to help main characters develope and that's a win in my book and something worth appreciating. I run the hell away from Mary Sues, OOC, author notes between the lines and bad grammar. Humor is my second choice of reading after angst/drama and I've tried to read fluff fics before but I really can't concentrate on them; but fluff on little doses is fine.

After 5 years I'm impressed by the fact that my favorites list is too small. But I have good stories there. Go and check them out.

Favorite authors:

I could count them with one hand but they're authors that I admire, respect and support:

Nirah: I could say that she's my favorite author by far. She writes for Shaman King, Death Note and Yami no Matsuei. She's the reason why I stayed in this place and kept reading fanfiction. Her stories were also an inspiration for when I wrote my fic. Her stuff is so good! one minute you could be laughing your ass off and the next one you're bawling your eyes out. A lot of people here should learn a thing or two from her. I suggest you go and check out her stories, all of them... NOW

MeeLee: One of my favorites too. She's written for pretty much everything and she's the example of good grammar. Her Shaman King stories are really touching and I suggest you read them too. I recommend Rescue Me and Lullaby

Makita: She writes for the Shaman King spanish fandom and she grasps and mixes comedy and angst very well. If you can read a little bit of spanish I suggest Ansias de Libertad, one of the best spanish fics out there.

I've found 4 Death Note authors that I'm currently reading and you should too... they're too good to ignore: FlyingWyvern, Mahri Lellan, Mikanis and Mail Jeevus. Also keep an eye out for The Eternity Dragon, AmunRa, Kirsdarkenvar, Ladelle, Sad.Whisper, Vickyng and ckret2. Anyway, I could go on and on but if you're interested just look on my favorites list.
