About Me:

Basics:

Hello! My name is Erika and in the words of Clarisse McClellan, "I'm seventeen and I'm crazy"I guess that's really all you need to know, other than that school is very important to me and most of the time the reason for slow updates is that I have too much homework or I got really busy with something else. So this is my junior year in High School and I'm already having tons of homework to work with. I am also the only person that looks after my dog Nikky. As for other things about me, I don't really mind anyone e-mailing me or pm-ing me for any reason at all, even if it isn't fanfiction related.

Writing:

For as long as I can remember I've loved the written work. I mean I practically made my mom teach me how to read, mind you that was in Spanish (my first language). So before I could even write I was telling stories, mostly to my younger cousin, I was really good with pictures, drawings. Kind of like the picture prompts you end up looking at in standarized testing. Anyhow, back then I never considered writing as a career, instead I was more interested in drawing which I'm kind of good at, sketches mostly. However now, writing is what has taken over and I love to write.

I believe in Eragon by Christopher Paolini someone says (and this is completely praphrased seeing as I can't remember the exact quote): Writers remain alive through their writing..even after they are dead their ideas remain. And it's true. Taking the fact that Jane Austen is still remembered today, specially Pride and Prejudice which I consider one of the greatest love stories in history next to, perhaps, Romeo and Juliet which is also an example of literature that remains today.

I have only ever writen fanfiction for Harry Potter and attempted Pirates of the Caribbean which has only been read by one other person, my friend Shelby. I have also thought about writing for Blood and Chocolate by Annette Curtis Klause but in the end that also remained in my notebook. So I've been writing fanfiction for what could be six years now and I will admit that it was really bad when I first begun, I don't think I even remember half of what I wrote that first year. I have finished more than five fics, most of them in the Harry Potter boards and probably lost to my old computer, although I finished two more quite recently.

As I've grown as a writer, I have come to the conclusion that I need to work on my own original works of which I have a few beginnings. So, after I finish tying up all loose ends with my severitus challenge fics, I will leave fanfiction for a time. That will include maybe one or two one-shot spin offs of Ameliorating/Atoning and perhaps another one-shot if I do get inspired. This is not a good bye because I might eventually come back here and write again. I'm sorry to the readers of SBHS and TEFV because I will most likely not finish writing those fanfics...but I will work on maybe putting them up for adoption sometime in the next few months...

I listen to nearly any kind of music but Regeton and other spanish music. I like Rock and am pretty okay with most of it but generally I listen to nearly anything, I'm not into something specific and obssesed with only that..I'm very open about music.

Some very interesting men: Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom, Gary Oldman, Daniel Radcliffe, David Thewlis, Jason Issacs, Tom Felton, Alan Rickman, Heath Ledger, Seth Gabel, Robert Pattinson...and the list goes on and on...

Fan Fiction

Pairings I enjoy:

Hermione/Remus: I like both in the trio's era and time-travel but I don't like many of the very OOC Hermione ones. I also think that many of the stories of this pairing are the same.

Recomendations: I would recomend, if any, This Time Around by Disneydoll0424 and The Werewolf Tamer by atruwriter

Hermione/Sirius: This is probably one of those pairings that I enjoy highly but I am very selective about. While I am generally okay with it being set in the trio's era I rather like time-travel for this particular pairing.

Recomendations: Changing Yesterday and Memories of a Dream and finally, Whispers of Tomorrow all of these fics were writen by RainynDawn who is also known as Amaya. The fics are also part of a good series and you can probably find many other great fics by this same author, mostly of the same pairing.

Hermione/James: I love this pairing, though I've never actually written anything for it save one one-shot that I lost to my last computer and I haven't re-written it yet, I might do so soon.

Recomendations: One great fic that I encountered was Never All Together by rainfromheaven

Hermione/Tom: This is one of those pairings that I just love. Anyhow, there aren't many and I really think there should be..anyhow check out the time-travel ones.

Recomendations: There is only one that I just love, Through a Door in a Wall by violingrl07

Hermione/Severus: One of the greatest pairings around, and while I have read many of these I have no real recomendtion for this because they are all good, so just go and look over the fics for this pairing, they're all really good. However I do recomend two fics.

Recomendations: This is a really good take on the marriage law. Second Chance by Captain Traemel and

When a Lioness Fights by kayly silverstorm.

Hermione/Lucius: This is one of those pairings that you just have to love, there aren't many of these and as such not a great selection.

Recomendations: There's only one, and while the author has stopped writing it, it's really good. His Mistress the fic is by SerpentClara, she has other good Lucius/Hermione fics as well.

Summary:

Imy was supposed to be perfect, that was how she was regarded, as perfect but when she falls in love she starts to realize that the role of perfection isn’t all that everyone thinks it is, especially since she considers falling in love with her best friend a tragedy.

Time Heals

Summary: Remus has a hard time dealing with Tonk's death. Hermione moves in with him to help him and ends up staying longer than necessary. There's a slight bit of werewolfness involved and it is Hermione/Remus by the end. It does go along with DH, even though I do change quite a bit. Not a big fluff.

First Impressions (COMPLETE)

Summary: Hermia Dumbledore was his first love, his only love--Lily Evans would never come even close to Hermia Dumbledore. After Hermia's death Severus Snape has vowed to never love again but when the Marriage Law comes into place, Severus has to marry his former student and a woman who reminds him so much of Hermia. Hermione Granger isn't too pleased to marry her former Professor but over time grows to respect him until one mistake puts fate into place and Severus begins to realize that after 21 years he has to move on but is it too late, after all Hermione Granger was dead.

Atoning The Past (COMPLETE)

Summary: "...I am not your father. I will not act like your father. I do not care for you, Potter, and I will not be a parent to you..."

...Harry was more than ready to agree with that and nodded as he finished the drink he had been sipping at nervously.

It has been often said that a father and son can overcome anything, that family can overcome anything as long as there is love between them...but what if there isn't love but only hate? In a time of war most rely on their family and friends, but who can Harry rely on when he can't tell his friends that Severus Snape is his father? Especially with how curious they are of his secrets already. It isn't like he has Snape, anyway...to Snape he isn't more than just a burden after all, right? So in his time of need who can Harry turn to? Who can help him as he completes the task that was set on him?

Notes: I have officially finished writing this fic, even though not all of it is up yet...and it will have a sequel. The summary above isn't quite right, so I wouldn't go too much by it...other than that I want to thank everyone that has reviewed and read this fic...you guys are great. Ameliorating the Future

Summary: Three months have passed since that fateful night when Dumbledore was killed and Harry vowed to kill his murderer, and it's been a year since Harry found out Severus Snape was his father, but this time it is not the worries of making a relationship work that cloud Harry's mind but how he will deal with the war that has now become all too clear, how he will find the Horcruxes in solitude, and how to distract himself enough to not think about his father. But how can he accomplish all of this when he's worried sick about his best friend and he has no idea where to begin searching for the pieces of Voldemort's soul.

Notes: This is the sequel to my Severitus Challenge (Atoning the Past) and is set three months after the events of that one. If you're planning on reading this some of the things that happen in this story will seem a little confusing so I would advice reading Atoning... first. And wow, I haven't updated my profile in a while, but today I finally got all the chapter pictures for Atoning so I had to come in here before I forgot. And now they are up and ready for viewing and I can somehow work on the ones for these...and will this fic be long. So far I have planned out up to ch. 33...and in my opinion we might not even be at the middle then. I have written up to ch. 27 and am working on 28 now...enjoy the fic and thank you guys so much for the reviews.

After some problems with my computer I haven't gotten a chance to write much. i am so busy with school and other stuff at the moment...but I know word by word in my head what ch. 21 is going to have. But I can't write it until i get an assignment done as well as some stuff for my friend's birthday done. i will get back to my writing really soon though and I hope to update sometime soon although I make no promises. this is my senior year in high school and that means college applications and such.

Gemma was a loner, there was no denying it, that is until James and Sirius concern themselves about her and Sirius figures out her so well kept secret, after a day of dodging questions, socializing with family and discovering a lot about herself the only thing one can do is become friends with the guy that you ultimately find yourself liking despite everything he has done to you. Notes: So this fic originally began as a Remus/OC that came to mind after being bored but it didn't quite turn out that way. Shelby is one of my best friends and my co-writer of Silenced Consent which was actually deleted...but disregarding that she is the first person that reads anything I write... She is wonderful even though she isn't as obssessed with Harry Potter as I am she did do my Geometry homework last year which I am very grateful for, everyone must love Shelby.
