My real life name is Anastassia Eashmen Dreyer but in the literary world I write under Calicy or Samantha Violet (S.V.) Ray. Right now I am 17 but my birthday is February 27 and I might have forgotten to change the age. I live in southern California but I don't really like it that much because I hate the stiflingly hot weather and the aesthetic people. Here are five things about me that basically sum up who I am:

1) I like cats more than I like dogs. There are several reasons for this but since they might offend some people and because there are really too many of them, I just leave it at that.

2) One day I hope to have a Ph. D in anthropology. I just think it would be cool to be called "doctor" and I also find the mix of science, psychology and sociology (among other things) into one subject is intriguing.

3) I feel rather detached from my own family and this is a little distressing to me.

4) I love writing, I love reading and I love everything about literature. But I would never be a professional writer because I think it wouldn't be fun if I was paid and put under pressure to write.

5) I pretend like I don't care if people read or review my work but I LOVE it when people favorite/story alert/review my stuff.
