Author has written 3 stories for Fire Emblem, and Pokémon. if youre an aspiring pokemon fanfic writer, you should first read Bittersweet Romanticides "Canon Rape." its quite long, so you may not get through the whole thing in one go. but finish it. in addition, while not every part may be applicable, most of the themes are useful regardless of fandom. so, yeah, you should basically have it bookmarked, and should refer to it before every writing session. it basically tells you what NOT to do. considering everyones style is unique, what TO do varies from person to person. however, there are plenty of universally agreed-upon no-nos. BSR lays them out in a funny, informative manner. go read it now. another little how-not-to the magebear came across is "How Not to Write a Novel" by Howard Mittelmark and Sandra Newman. writing tips originally for those looking to get published, but just because there's no quality filter on the internet doesn't mean that this stuff won't be helpful to you (and your readers). | |||||||
