Author has written 4 stories for Naruto.
I am a girl, just to let you all know.

My name makes it sound like I am a man. No people, I am 100 percent female. Furthermore, I am not 35, or however many, years old. Some people mistake the way I write as an indicator of my age. All I will say, however, is that I am under twenty years old. (As of 2007, I am still under 20!) I have been reading fanfiction since the beginning of fanfiction.net' s anime section, and I really like being able to say that. =) haha. I live in San Francisco, California, and for those rednecks out there, I am NOT a lesbian. Really, I am so sick of being asked that - Come on people! Yes, San Francisco has a large homosexual population, but that is not an indicator of the whole city. haha. My dad is a redneck though, no matter how cosmopolitan he thinks he is. I'm not though, so no worries. =)

If you don't understand the literary allusion behind my name, I'll explain.

"Quentin" refers to Quentin Compson, who is, in my opinion, the saddest character in William Faulker's The Sound and The Fury. However, he is reminiscent of J.D Salinger's character Holden Caulfield in The Catcher in the Rye. My middle initial stands for "Bartleby," the main character of Herman Melville's "Bartleby the Scrivener," who is the most intriguing, yet heart-wrenching character I have ever encountered in a short story. All three stories document the mental or physical breakdown of the characters as they struggle against society. Quentin struggles particularly against the sexuality of women (and what that entails), while Holden struggles against the different aspects of modern society - the sex, the lies, and most important, the loss of innocence and simplicity (which Quentin, in a sense, struggles with also). However, Bartleby is somewhat different. In Melville's' story, while Bartleby is the focus of the story, he is not the narrator; therefore, all information about Bartleby is learned indirectly. In spite of this, we come to understand a small part of who Bartleby is. Bartleby also struggles against society, however, unlike Quentin and Holden, he chooses to remove himself (in a transcendental sense) from the "walls" of society. But without physically removing himself from the city, he is unable to escape those "walls"; in the end, that inability kills him.

Somehow, these three characters seemed so alike that, together, they created a name that encompassed the struggle that results from the choice of whether we want to immerse ourselves into the world of our forefathers, or remove ourselves from those "walls." I know that I, myself, struggle with that choice. The little fantasy that dances in the back of my mind is one that shows me running a successful "downtown" company, a successful CEO. However, I have a more prevalent dream of a family. Those two dreams conflict, and one day I will have to choose whether I want to attempt to become that successful CEO at the expense of a family, or not - even more daunting, do I try to find some tentative medium?

But, ah! The world of fanfiction, where we can escape the dangerous whirl of questions, and bring life and depth to our beloved characters.

My favorite Manga/Anime (they are supposed to be the same, but now...it seems to have changed. o.O), in no particular order:

1. Inuyasha: Inuyasha/Kagome, Sesshoumaru/Rin, Miroku/Sango, Sesshoumaru/Kagura (but only when Rin is still a little girl, when she’s older, it’s weird), Rin/Shippo (…so freaking CUTE).

2. Naruto: Neji/Tenten (ultimate favorite), Shikamaru/Ino (yayness! …ah so troublesome. =), Sasuke/Sakura (meh. Only if it’s done right: a stronger Sakura, an enlightened Sasuke…well, the second criterion is tentative), Naruto/Sasuke (yea, I still like my shounen-ai), Naruto/Garra (I. LOVE. GARRA.), Itachi/Sakura (it just ...intrigues me), Naruto/Hinata (only if it's done right. I actually like a strong Hinata, as Clan head), Tenten/Kankuro (if only it didn't entail her being taken from Neji, I would love this couple. But alas... It shall still be on my favorite list though =)

3. Rurouni Kenshin: Satitou/Tokio (ultimate), Battousai/Karou (I actually like Battousai, more than Kenshin – definitely hotter. =), Sano/Megumi, Yahiko/Tsubame (so freaking cute. Like whoa=/), Misao/Aoshi, Soujirou (I LOVE SOUJIROU), Souji (I LOVE SOUJI) ...ah they are so alike, too.

4. Ranma: Ranma/Akane (ultimate), Nabiki/Kuno (strangely, it works, but it’s still really sad because you know it was originally based on money…sigh.)

5. Dragon Ball Z: Vegeta/Bulma (ultimate), Trunks/Siako (someone’s own character, but I have no idea who, or which story…but she was a great character )

6. Neon Genesis Evangelion: Shinji/Rei (ah… so beautiful), Shinji/Asuka (yea, I’m a traitor.) , Misato/Kaji (SO FREAKING SAD…;_;)

7. Gundam...Wing?I forgot. I am a disgrace.: Heero/Relena, DUO (I LOVE DUO…ultimate character of Gundam Wing), Trowa (Triton) (I love that man, too!), Quatre (he’s just so cute =)

My Least Favorite Manga/Anime, in no particular order:

1. Shikamaru/Temari - LE SIGH. Unfortunately, this one seems to be extremely plausibe in the acutal Naruto universe. LE SIGH.

2. Neji/Sakura - He would break her in half. Unfortunately, one of my favorite authors loves this pairing. Le Sigh.

3. Neji/Ino - Oh. My. God. Where did this one come from? The first time I saw this pairing, I just kept staring while being horrified and disgusted.

3. Enshi/Karou - ...sigh. Again, one of the hard to explain - I actually really like a sister-brother relationship; but the prospect of a romantic relationship makes me squrim.

4. Saitou/Karou - ...you should shoot yourself it you think that that would ever work.

5. Goku/Chichi - Ok, here is the deal. I love Goku and Chichi, but their marriage is a flop, a failure. It would take an act of Dende-sama for Goku to realize what he has, and for Chichi to stop being a harpy. However, I do still like reading stories about how the two fix their relationship - even though I haven't come across such a story, I would still love to read one (any suggestion? send me a message!)

6. Naruto/Hinata - the only one on my love and hate list. The couple is cute, but just so awkward.

Literary Characters I would love to date (weird question, huh? But I would like to answer it):

1. ADRIANE BRODY, that man is just.. wow. WOW.

1. Darcy, from Pride and Prejudice. That man is beautiful. That's all there is to it.

2. Quentin, though that would entail that I be his sister (and thus a confused woman/slut), and that he kill himself over me...sigh.-_-

3. Holden

4. Bartleby

5. Gatsby - or at least, I would love to be Nick Carraway, and get to see the real Gatsby, Daisy, Jordan, and Tom.
