Author has written 9 stories for Warhammer, and Battlestar Galactica: 2003. Hi, my name's Matt and I've been writing stories since I was 8 (okay, so maybe lots of people have done that, but I doubt that many of them will keep it up for the next 19 years - makes me feel old next to some of you spring-chickens). I've been using this website for just over a year now and have found that it helps me to focus on finishing the projects that I start (this has always been a problem). Completed projects include "A Necromundan Enterprise" which is a fairly short prelude to my first long piece "Better the Daemon You Know" (now being redrafted to bring it closer to 40K canon). It follows the exploits of a pantheon of characters assigned to an Imperial Guard Penal Legion as they fight the forces of Chaos, notably the Word Bearers. They go on to feature heavily in "Part 2" when they are pitted against a Tyranid invasion along with several other regiments (including the Catachans) and the mighty Space Marines. These stories are action-packed but I always try my best to make them believable within the context of the environment, with a strong human aspect (it's not just about how many bad guys they can kill) and observance of GW canon (with some of my own invention thrown in). Have a read, I promise you won't be too disappointed. For those of you that are already fans of my work, here's a taster of things to come. Part 3 of BtDYK is about halfway done. I've been working on it for a while but to be honest it's been a slog. I'm also still working on a side project that links into the continued exploits of Corgan and his Rogues in my "Kill Team" thread. This will be a sequence of short pieces in different contexts throughout the Imperium and may later form the basis of more in depth stories depending on the reception they get. I've also made a shaky start to a WFB thread called "Blood and Gold" pitting Dwarves against Khornate mortals. I don't really have a clear sense of direction for this yet so it may take some time to get underway. I'd just like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that's given me feedback on BtDYK Parts 1, 2 & 3 (both positive and negative) and to say that I couldn't have got this far without your support.
