I volunteer at a library, and when I do, I get story ideas. So I'm throwing this plot bunny out there for the taking...

When time travel is discovered in the early-mid 21st century, it is immediately used to perpetuate unimaginable horrors throughout human history. Chaos reigns, and the only solution is to make sure it was never discovered in the first place...
In the modern day, a teenage boy knows he's different. The people shooting at him every six months or so are sort of a clue-in. Yet despite the inexplicable attempts on his life, he's never hurt. When he survives food poisoning on his first date, his girlfriend is astonished-and he gets curious. Little does he know that all his would-be assassins can't kill him, because if he never creates the technology to let them visit his time, they can't have made it at all...

I'm working now on an original story inspired in the library, about a fictionalized post-Soviet national ice hockey team and its coach, a wannabe defectee. Wannabe defectee? Dang, that sounds like a nice band name.

Lots of RPing stuff elsewhere is diminishing my time for fanfiction, but I'm still trying to make progress on "The Skrit Na Chronicles". It's rather difficult to write a first-person narrative from the perspective of a Skrit. In the meantime, check out my new oneshot, "Forgiveness Ceremony", under Zeitnot and other stories.
