| Faerie in Combat Boots |
Author has written 6 stories for Corpse Bride, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Lost, and Avatar: Last Airbender. I am the original Faerie in Combat Boots (don't let the other faeries in combat boots fool you, I'm made of genuine faerie and all natural combat boot) I have been using this name online since 2003, you can find me under this name on varying forums, websites and chat rooms. I also spell it like this: FaerieInCombatBoots Visit my blog and my deviantart: http://faerieincombatboots.deviantart.com http://ohsomanythoughts.blogspot.com/ I started writing poems and stories when I was about 10. I write all kinds of stuff, some of it I will share online and some of it I won't. I believe that writing can be very personal and private, and there are some things we write, that no one else should see, and to share them can be uncomfortable and even annoying to others. One must be mindful of what they publish, and think very carefully about what they want others to see. Some people say "Well fanfiction is about self-expression". Well yes, that is true. But some forms of self-expression are best kept to oneself. Posting certain types of commonly reviled fanfiction, (Mary-Sues *cough* Mary-Sues) is very much like reading a private diary out loud. I prefer to keep some of my work private, a gift to myself and no one else. I am brutally honest. If I read something I don't like, I will leave a scathing, often heartless review. What kind of review I leave also depends on the mood I'm in. Sometimes I can be quite gentle with bad writers. My reviews have gained me a few enemies, to be honest. To my detractors, all I can say is: "Take your head out of your ass, and get over yourself. It's just fanfiction.net. Don't like critique? Then GTFO" A few facts about me: - I'm mixed race. I'm American Indian, Hispanic and White. I have a lot of pride in my mixed heritage, particularly the Abenaki and Mohawk Indian. rum and sing at powwows. I don't get paid for it, but it's not about the money. I sing with a drum named Voice of United Spirit. The other singers have become a second family to me, and I don't know what I'd do without 'em. -I'm on the low end of the Autism Spectrum. Really. I'm not one of those poges you meet on the interwebs who claims to have Asperger's just because they're a little socially awkward. I actually have something called Non-Verbal Learning Disorder. It is similar to Asperger's. I can't work because of it. -I love going to cemeteries, reading, writing, drumming, and singing. I also have a penchant for Victorian Postmortem Photography and Squirrels. -My favorite obsessions are The Lord of the Rings, Repo! The Genetic Opera and Tim Burton Movies. I also like horror movies, Stephen King, and Sririacha sauce. -I'm a Pegasister. That is, a female Brony. Don't like it? Too bad. -I totally have a thing for sexy metalheads who work at Buffalo Wild Wings, drink dank beer and read Star Wars novels. | |||||||
