I'm a 25 year-old English professor with an MAT and a Bachelors in Fiction Writing. Since I was a little girl, I've been writing everything from newspapers to menus to personal dictionaries. And then one day in high school, I discovered "Guiding Light" and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and I began writing fic. After that, I realized that I was best at word-smithing, and eight years ago on ff.net, I took it up as a monetarily-thankless career.
What to Expect in My Fic:
I am fascinated by and, therefore, primarily write about the rhythm of connection and disconnection. Whether the story is comedy-centric, case-centric, or romance-centric, the core of my stories all focus on how we as humans are constantly reaching out, and while we may not always receive what we're looking for, we never stop trying. I'm a huge supporter of angst and the underdog. I'm not happy unless my characters are writhing miserably in a world of unrequited love and self-doubt. As such, I don't read fluff stories, and I never write them.
Do not expect instant romances and marriage proposals because it will never happen until I've exhausted all the angst I could possibly imagine, and even then... I am of the Joss Whedon mindset where I "give you what you need, not what you want." No babies and gratuitous make out scenes.
