AAAAAAAAAAACKKKKKK I am so sorry, guys. I've been so busy lately and...Well...I...ugh. I'm sorry. I'm seriously stressed for a fourteen year old. So, here's the second chapter. I hope you like it. I'm like falling asleep right now, but...yawn...enjoy.

Sakura lay in bed, staring at her ceiling. She's been doing that a lot lately. She always had something on her mind, whether it was the tremendous work in the hospital, or the declared war on Konoha from Sound, or the Uchiha brothers.

She blushed at the thought of the two. Sasuke was slowly changing, she noticed. He was more open with everyone, now. She guessed that it was because he doesn't have to worry about killing his brother anymore. She sighed and flipped over on her side.

She wanted to get to know Itachi more, but she also wanted to have a better chance with Sasuke. Being 'just friends' was killing her. She didn't want to be just friends. She wanted something more; a relationship, love, anything! As soon as she closed her eyes, she slowly opened them back up again.

He was haunting her. Lately, he was everywhere. Whether it was by coincidence in the market, or on the training grounds; at their house of course, or in her dreams. She would always see his eyes. She heard his voice wherever she went.

If he won't accept you...would you accept me?

She didn't know what he meant by that. Did he want to start dating her? Did he want to marry her? Did he want to start a family? WHAT! She sighed deeply. She was so confused. The elder Uchiha was confusing her out of her mind!

She kept thinking about that past year. He visited her every single day and sometimes she wondered how he managed to do that with all the Akatsuki business. He would sit on a tree branch right outside her window every night and watch her, whatever she was doing.

Sometimes he would get there too late and she'd be asleep. Then she'd wake up and feel incomplete. That would make her have a bad day and she couldn't wait for that night so she could see him again.

Sometimes, she would stare at him from her window. They would stare at each other for hours, until she felt too tired. His Sharingan intrigued her to no limits. She was absolutely fascinated by it! The way it melted into their onyx eyes when they took it away. The way the black tomoes swirled when they were in battle. They way it reminded her of death. Their onyx eyes were deep, endless, cold, and emotionless. She could stare into the dark deep without blinking. The Sharingan, though it did interest her, intimidated her. She could not stare into their eyes because she felt she was seeing death. Her own death.

She remembered the first time Itachi stepped inside her room. She was frightened, but no really. She stared up at him, breathing fast trying to calm herself down. He reached out a hand, but did not break eye contact with her. She flinched at the soft, yet cold feeling of his hand on her cheek. She thought he was going to kill her, yet when she looked into his eyes, she didn’t see lust for her blood...; she saw interest, curiosity.

At first she was shocked to realize that Uchiha Itachi was interested in her, but soon grew to like the attention. She was getting the attention that she always wanted, the attention from Uchiha Sasuke, from his brother. The way he looked at her, the way his eyes roamed her partly exposed body, memorizing every detail as if to save it until the next night, it was haunting. She loved the feeling, yet hated it.

These mixed emotions were scaring her and, ironically, she hated him for it. She scoffed. She was such a hypocrite. She did not understand herself sometimes. She wanted attention like that from a man, but whenever she got it, she was scared out of her mind. Soon, she came to realize that she wanted that attention from one man. Uchiha Sasuke.

Realizing this, she looked at Itachi in a whole different way. She actually wanted to get to know him. She wanted to know if he was anything like his brother. She wanted to know if she could learn to love him as she loved Sasuke. She wanted to have someone to hold, someone to tell her everything was alright. Then she realized it. This man killed his family, he killed his parents, he tried to kill his brother so many times, and he was in the Akatsuki. Why would he show any kind of compassion for a weak little girl like her?

She looked down sadly and tried to fight back the tears. She truly wanted his love. She wanted his strength so she wouldn't have to cry anymore. Who was she kidding? Why would he want to be strong for her? Why would he waste his time for her? Why...why did he keep coming here? Why did he keep coming to see her?

Suddenly, shivers enveloped her body when she felt his cold hand on her cheek, massaging it lovingly, wiping away all the tears. She stared at him with wide eyes. He was kneeling down in front of her, staring at her emotionlessly. Thoughts, feelings that were kept hidden in side of her, were released. She started sobbing harder and harder. His eyebrows furrowed in misunderstanding. He was standing up to leave. Her voice stopped him.

She was pleading him, reaching out to him, begging him to stay with her. Begging for his strength to help her. He turned around and faced her. He was contemplating what to do. It was about time for him to go and for her to go to sleep. Something kept him rooted to the spot. It was the sight of her begging him to stay, crying her heart out for him to be there for her. Something told him that she was only partly crying for him. That she was crying for something that happened in the past.

He found himself moving towards her, reaching her, staring down at her green orbs, watching as they filled up with newfound tears of sorrow. He got on his knees again, something he would do for no one else. Her eyes instantly closed at their closeness. He bent forward and kissed her eyelids. She gasped slightly and opened her eyes, staring into his own.

Why did he do that? What did he want? Was he just playing with her emotions like his brother was? She couldn't deal with another heart ache. He put a hand on her cheek gently and pulled her face towards his. Her eyes widened in disbelief as his lips touched hers. She expected them to be cold and hard like his hands but they were the opposite; they were soft and warm.

When he pulled away, they stared at each other for a while.

"You shouldn't cry..." he whispered, wiping away the last of her tears. She smiled and nodded.

The next night, she waited patiently for him, but he didn't come. It dawned on her that he was just playing with her. He left her after kissing her, after taking her first kiss. She got angry with him and started to hate him.

The next time they met, she screamed at him and started cursing him with all her heart. The only way to make her stop was by kissing her; and that’s what he did. After that kiss, she realized that he had an important reason to leave her and she felt stupid for jumping to conclusions.

He bent down again and claimed her lips for the second time that night. This time, there was more need in the kiss. He pushed her on the bed and kissed her with a passion. They did nothing else and she was grateful for his self control. She was willing to go all the way, but he stopped himself.

Sakura smiled as she remembered his lips on hers. She loved his sweet taste. She’d have thought that he might have had a bitter taste, but he tasted like honey. She guessed that he must have eaten some that morning to give him energy.

She turned on her back on the bed and stared out the window to the tree he used to sit on. Ever since he hand his memory taken away, he showed no real emotions towards her. She sighed and closed her eyes. That was to be expected. Uchihas were masters of their emotions after all. She experienced that first hand with Sasuke. She cursed them both with a passion before drifting off into a dreamless slumber.

Itachi walked alone on the roads of Konoha, thinking things over. His brother and everyone else told him what happened and the story seemed simple. He just couldn't help thinking there is something missing. Something that he should be looking for. Orochimaru, he was told, was long dead and Sound was destroyed.

Why didn't he feel fulfilled? The pink haired kunoichi kept plaguying his mind with her smile. That's it. he knew it had something to do with ehr and he wanted it to end. he wanted to get to the bottom of this. he was older than her, she was his brother's friend, possibly more. She was the Slug Sannin's apprentice and a force to be recking with and he didn't want to anger her.

She also had a cheerful side, the side that attracted him. She was always smiling. Whether she meant it or not, it was there. Whether she was angry and about to pummel you to the ground or not, it was plastered on her fierce face and would never come off.

He had to be honest iwth himself. he didn't want it to ever come off. It belonged there and he wanted it to stay there. She looked beautiful with it there and she should keep it there.

He suddenly felt overprotective of her. He didn't want her to be sad or angry at anything. he thought of her as an angel, meant to be happy and to bring happiness. That wa sher job. She brought happiness to konoha and its vilalgers.

he wanted to protect ehr and to care for her. To hold her whenever she needed soem warmth or a body to hold on to. he wanted to be the only man in her life. The only man she coudl give her love to. He knew she loved his brother. Sasuke. The little brat never knew what he had until he lost it. it was pathetic really.

He wanted her to be happy. He wanted Sakura to be happy. He gave her his offer; he gave her his heart and soul. If she accepted them and loved him back, he would make her happy. If she decided to keep chasing after his brother...well...he would have to open his eyes for him. That cherry blossom did not deserve to be sad. She's been through enough already, or so he's heard. She deserves something back from the man she sodl herself off to.

"Sasuke..you really are a foolish little brother." Itachi smirked as he wakled inside his mansion.

Okay, I know this was shorter than the last one. i was going to split the other one in two, but i decided it was already too late, so whatever. I know this chapter was slow, but i just wanted to clear things up. I will most likely make this an itasaku fic, but we'll see, ne? Uh, this only took me two hours? wow. anyway, ja ne minna san!
