Author has written 7 stories for Halo, Star Wars, and EndWar. I am Don Narively,of NJ, USA, formerly of Kerala, India. I Love Halo and Star wars (Excluding all the mushy gushy crap). I chose Don113 as my pen name cuz I was born on the 13th of January (hence 1 and 13) and I thought Don113 would sound like John117. Neat, aye? Hope you enjoy my stories! Breaking tradition of never updating my profile page, I shall update it with trivia bits about 'Star Wars: Mysteries of the Forerunner'. Following the UNSC-Covenant Seperatist victory against the Covenant Loyalists on Earth in March, 2553, the UNSC followed up with a massive buildup of arms and ships to combat the still-fighting Covenant Loyalist Remnant. As of 2557, the UNSC Navy has one hundred Marathon-Class cruisers, sixty CV Firefly-Class carriers, twenty Phoenix-Class Super Carriers, and one new Devastator-Class dreadnought, the UNSC Devastator. While the bulk of the UNSC Navy is made up of Apoc-Class frigates (In Amber Clad is one example) and Gorgon-Class destroyers, older UNSC vessels are still in service, such as the Halcyon-Class cruiser. However, ships of that generation are mostly used to keep order within the UNSC's colonies and engage Loyalist Remnant forces, and see only limited action against CIS forces. The UNSC Army and Marine Corp are both standing military forces, and currently field more than 2.7 billion servicemen and women, thanks to a highly successful recruitment campaign started by the Office of Naval Intelligence. New Vehicles: Spyder Mobile Artillery, A10-Hawkeye (similar in shape and role to the real-life A10-Thunderbolt), The Republic Navy and the Republic Army, both tiny forces, were merged together under the Grand Army of the Republic at the start of the Clone Wars and underwent a dramatic transformation that made the Republic one of, if not the most, powerful military forces in the galaxy. The Republic Navy currently fields eighty Legacy-Class Star Cruisers, five hundred Venator-Class Star Destroyers, one thousand Acclamator-Class Assault Ships, and two Mandator II-Class Star Dreadnoughts. Like its ally the UNSC, the Republic Navy also fields older Republic vessels like the Dreadnought-class cruiser and the Corellian Corvette. The bulk of the Republic Navy is made up of the home fleets of its member systems. The Grand Army of the Republic fields nearly 30 billion clone personnel, as well as smaller non-clone units. Despite this massive offensive capability, the GAR is hindered by their Jedi officers' general lack of battle experience (barring a few certain individuals) and their tactical capabilities are greatly outmatched by the officers and the NCOs of the UNSC. The Covenant Seperatists still struggle in a war with the Covenant Loyalist Remnant. As such, they maintain a massive force. The Covenant Seperatist Navy currently has two hundred CCS-Class Cruisers, eighty Revenant-Class Cruisers, seventy-three Assault Carriers and three Super Cruisers (Ascendant Justice was one example) This is a far cry from the old glory of the Covenant fleet, but it is sufficient to keep the Loyalist Remnant at bay. The first official form of the Covenant Seperatist Navy was the First Sangheilian Fleet under Rtas 'Vadum, consisting of nine CCS-Class Cruisers and one Assault Carrier. Like their ally the UNSC and thanks to the ruinous war with the Remnant, the bulk of the Covenant Seperatist Navy is made up of small yet powerful frigates and destroyers. The Covenant Seperatists consist of only three of the several races that made up the old Covenant: Elites (Sangheili), Hunters (Lekgolo) and Engineers (Huragok), the latter being on both sides of the conflict due to their seeming lack of political motivation. Elites make up the majority of the military forces; though it is currently unknown exactly how large the Covenant Seperatist Army is, it is large enough to deter any action by the CIS. The Covenant Seperatists, being heavily engaged with dealing with the Loyalist Remnant, has chosen not to participate in the Clone Wars, although they lend limited support to the UNSC and, indirectly, the Republic. To eliminate confusion, the Covenant Seperatists have decided to rename themselves the 'True Covenant' to differentiate themselves from the CIS, who are also called Seperatists. The Covenant Loyalist Remnant, although seeming to be outwardly powerful, is in danger of undergoing another schism like the one that had thrown the old Covenant into civil war. The constant failure of their assaults on UNSC and True Covenant targets has brewed discontent among the members of its many races, which include Brutes (Jiralhanae), Jackals (Kig-Yar), Grunts (Ungoyy) and Drones (Yan'me). The Engineers, as usual, have no interest in this situation, seeming to be content to fix things. The Jackals and Grunts, in particular, seem to be heading towards a collision that their Brute overseers are unable to prevent. The Loyalist Remnant's strength is currently unknown, though they field quite a large number of ships in each engagement. They constantly raid UNSC and True Covenant colonie, and occasionally attack both Republic and CIS targets. The Confederacy of Independant Systems came into being when a large number of systems suddenly and simultaneously decided to withdraw from the Republic, the forerunners of this withdrawal being the Trade Federation, still smarting from their embarissing defeat on Naboo. They proved to be more than a match for the Republic at first, until the clone army came into play. Nonetheless, the CIS has more soldiers than both the UNSC and the GAR combined, thanks to their reliance on battle droids variants. Their numerical superiority comes at a cost, however; the droids are not very imaginative, and even in groups they can be outsmarted by a trained organic soldier. This said, they are still very deadly. The Confederacy also uses organic soldiers (humans, aliens etc.) to boost their ranks, although their use has declined since the UNSC subjugated Jabiim. The CIS Navy has three hundred Providence-Class carrier/cruisers, five hundred Lucrehulk-Class ships, a thousand Banking Clan frigates and nine hundred Recuscant-Class Destroyers. It also exercises a limited control over the home fleets of its member nations, but not to the extent of the Republic. Upcoming Fanfiction works (Note: Release dates are not absolute) Star Wars: Army of Two (August '09): The Clone Wars are over. The Empire has risen. However, there are still major conflicts occurring in the galaxy. The Empire's clone armies have not yet recovered enough to effectively combat the new threats, and they turn to the Security and Strategy Corporation. In response, the SSC sends out their two best men: an ex-ARC trooper named Sull and an ex-Clone Commando called Beskar. Together, they form an unstoppable force. An Army of Two. Spectrum Six (January '09): ((memo by Captain Jace Dallin (GAR), SPECTRUM founder))-- "There is good news, and there is bad news. With the demise of the Confederacy of Independent Systems, the death of Palpatine aka Darth Sidious, and other organizations politically and morally adverse to the UNSC and the Republic, the likelihood of another full-scale confrontation akin to the Clone Wars is at an all-time low. But along with that we must face the fact that there remain many experienced and trained international terrorists still roaming the galaxy, some with lingering contacts with national intelligence agencies - plus the fact that some nations, while not desirous of a direct confrontation with the UNSC or the Republic, could still make use of the remaining terrorist "free agents" for more narrow political goals. The most obvious solution to this-probably-increasing problem will be a new interplanetary counterterrorist team. I propose the codename 'Spectrum'. I further propose that the organization be based in the UN. The reasons for this are simple: -The UNSC currently owns and operates NAVSPECWAR, the galaxy's foremost--that is, most experienced--special operations agency. -The legal environment is particularly advantageous, due to press restrictions possible under UNSC law but not Republic. -The new 'special relationship' between our two governments. For all of these reasons, the proposed special operations team consisting of personnel from GAR and UNSC agencies, with full support from governmental agencies, coordinated at site..." Halo: Shadow Warriors (February '09): This is a remake of my story "Halo:Navy SEALs: The Fall of REACH" which recieved mostly very poor reviews. The redone version will be much better. A Note to all faithful readers: I understand that regular updates are what you want, but with college starting in earnest I cannot meet the deadlines you set. Fanfiction for me is increasingly becoming more and more of a side hobby as the work piles up. I will try in earnest to update all my stories, but it will have to be done whenever I have free time. Thank you for your patience, and my most sincere apologies to my readers. ~Don113 | |||||||||||
