Author has written 7 stories for Labyrinth, V for Vendetta, Once Upon a Time, and Misc. Movies. PLEASE REVIEW WHAT YOU READ!! One huge issue with FFN is that no one is reviewing or leaving feedback for the writers. PLEASE throw the occasional tidbit to the writers as it feeds our muses. It ALSO improves our writing. I hate to see writers leaving FFn for LJ or DW but it's happening. Is there any hope that things will change? Also... please note that I read fast, usually at over 2000 wpm, and I tend to read longer stories in one go, reviewing only at the end. I've only recently begun reading incomplete WIP things because the delay makes me crazy. Well, crazier, really. :) Always looking for recs on long fic, so PM me with anything good. Ta! Daughter of 47 years, wife of 25 years, mom of 23 years (and of four children: 23, 22, 20, and 12)...Writer since I could lift a pen :) Hello to anyone reading my lowly profile! Welcome to the strange world of the Sphinx. I hope that you are having a nice time of it, both here and in the real world. Things move pretty fast in RL and leaves us with little time to accomplish all that we have set out to do. Currently my projects are stalled, the edit on V is for Vanished has been bogged down with baggage from the unrelenting world of reality, but I haven't given up on it. There are several chapters brewing, some with minor edits/variations and others that are a complete departure from the original. I am practicing my craft, believe it or not, still trying to perfect some aspect of what I do, and I have to admit that I am not a poster child for successful project management. But it is MY problem and I am owning it, which ups my accountability rating. A published author of my acquaintance has told me (repeatedly) that "Practice is about permanence, not perfection", and I fully admit to being slooooowwwww on the uptake. However, the advice is excellent and noteworthy. I am not editing anything else currently other than Vanished and a work of original Fiction. I sincerely hope to get my other work completed and revised for publication by the end of the year (or sooner, if I can just keep my Muse chained to my laptop, Esme, and fed upon stolen ambrosia from the Elysian Fields or the boards of Olympus... She's cranky when she's hungry.) Bear with me, gentle readers, and I will post more updates soon. (edited 9/2012-- I apologize for being gone so long, kids, but I've been ill enough to lose most of my interest in everything. Now that I am better, I'm dividing my time between school and other obligations. I crave my fic though and I'm trying to get back into the grind of writing instead lazily reading everyone else's work. I promise I will finish the Vanished story as quickly as possible.) In honor of having reached 18000 hits to V is for Verisimilitude, I've added a little something to the story: an extra 2000 words. Hope you enjoy them. | |||||||
