Just a quick update pertaining to "The Captive's Chant". Chapter 2 has been posted (was actually posted a few days ago), but I will be making edits. I apologize for posting and THEN editing. I can re-read things numerous times, and sometimes I still don't see the mistakes until I get them up on here and read them again. I usually read over once more once it's posted just for good measure, to make sure the formatting is right (because FF does strange things to my formatting), and just to give one more quick once-over for spelling and grammatical errors. I'm also considering adding a bit to Chapter 2, but I haven't decided if that will happen. To anyone reading, please feel free to leave comments. The one comment I've received thus far was very helpful, and because I went back to correct some things, I am honestly pleased with the revision of Chapter 1.

I understand some of you may have concerns about the story being mainly focused on the new character, but I have a reason for this. While Hawke may have been a pivatol point of the game, each time you met a new companion, you were whisked off onto quests to aid the characters, so each character's story was told. I may change viewpoints throughout the story, and not all of it will be told from Hawke's perspective, but I'm not attempting to draw full attention away from him. So far, Hawke has already had a huge impact on the new character's life, and we're just into Chapter 2.

And for those worried this will turn into a Mary Sue, have no fear. I have no intention of hooking Aria up with any of the original game characters. We will, however, be seeing more of the soft-spoken man from Chapter 2 at a later time. *grin*

I will eventually be posting another story later that will be based solely around Aria, detailing what happens to her after The Captive's Chant, because in the two chapters I have written, I've already come to love the character.
