Sonic X Fanfiction Info:
(Warning: Minor Spoiler Alert)
This fanfiction incorporates Shadow the Hedgehog the Game (specifically Black Doom, the Black Arms, and the discovery of Shadow's past) and some dark, mature themes with Sonic X.
The Sides
The fic is split into two stories: Hero and Dark. The Hero story takes place in the Hero characters's (IE: Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, etc) thoughts and locations throughout the story. It's a less focused story than the Dark story, involving more characters and more plotlines. It also jumps from one year after Cosmo's death to four years afterwards.
The Dark story is the same for the Dark, but not always evil, characters (IE. Shadow, Rouge, Eggman, etc). This is a more focused and longer story, taking place mostly between Shadow and Rouge. It involves the beginning: five years in the past after the Metarex are defeated and Shadow's fate is unknown. Although this is a big part of the story, the main focus of the Dark story is the development of Shadow and Rouge's growing relationship, as well as their changing in sides of the war.
Interesting Facts:
The characters are older than you might expect. I've used my own twisted logic and made it so that four years had passed from the beginning of Sonic X to the series finale (They didn't stay one age. Not everything happened in one day!). This way, all the characters, especially Tails and Cosmo, would be of a more realistic age to be in a serious relationship, even to the point of engagement. If they were still four years younger, how could I fit what I want into it?
The "Dark Story" begins with an ending scene removed from the American Sonic X season finale, where we see Shadow putting a rose on Molly's grave. The scene was removed in the show, most likely because 4Kids didn't show her death in the show.
Shadow getting his memories back when he impacts Mobius is an idea based of the Ashton Kutcher movie: "Butterfly Effect". Specifically, the blood-out-of-the-nose action.

Info: Rouge's apparent long-lost father. Meets Shadow early in "Sonic X: The Black Arms Dark Story". He's slightly mutated with a messed up arm and large wings. Supposedly dead.

Victoria, AKA 'Victory':

Species: Tiger
Coloration: Yellow/Orange fur with black stripes, blonde hair, white furred muzzle, blue eyes
Occupation/Role: Black Resistance captain
Family/Friends: Lover is Slash, other relationships unknown
Info: A beautiful, respectable tigress who has earned the nickname 'Victory' due to many successes in battle, though it doesn't seem to be used very frequently. Last seen taking Shadow to see General Roger before the Black Arms attack the Resistance mothership. Fate unknown.
Ronin:
Age: Twenties to thirties
Gender: Male
Species: Raccoon
Coloration: Brown, grey, black striped fur; white furred muzzle, brown eyes
Occupation/Role: Black Resistance lieutenant
Family/Friends: Unknown
Info: A lieutenant who fought with Shadow aboard the Resistance mothership during the Black Arms attack. Was killed by a shooting in the head by a Black Arms soldier. Name comes from Roni, a raccoon chosen as the mascot for a year of the Winter Olympics.
Otto:
Age: Early teens
Gender: Male
Species: Fox
Coloration: Brown fur, white furred muzzle, green eyes
Occupation/Role: Black Resistance soldier, ranking unknown.
Family/Friends: Unknown
Info: A soldier with low self-esteem. The first victim of the Black Hole virus Shadow sees. Last seen being left behind in an elevator shaft by Shadow and Ronin. Fate unknown. Name comes from Oticyon, a word for Bat-Eared Fox, even though he isn't one.
Crystal:
Age: Varies; In "Hold Onto Family," she's 13 and gets continuously older
Gender: Female
Species: Hedgebat hybrid.
Coloration: White fur, tan skin, blue eyes
Occupation/Role: None
Family/Friends: Mother is always Rouge and father is always Shadow. Other family/friends/relationships vary
Info: Rouge's daughter in every fanfic of mine, mostly the ones not set in the Sonic X world.
In the story, "What Makes a Family 1", her father is a mystery to her, but he's obviously a hedgehog; everyone else knows that it's Shadow.

Unnamed sequel: Once the first stories are over, (in, like, a year probably), then you'll know. May be based off Sonic Heroes. Same pairings as "Black Arms"
Another sequel: Long after the first sequel. You'll find out later. Considering adapting, but drastically altering, the plot of Sonic '06.
