She walks the rain soaked streets in her zipped up jacket and tattered sneakers, hiding in dark corners as she watches people pass by. It's empty familiarity. She zipped up her jacket and stuffed her hands inside her pockets. It was the middle of the afternoon, the sun high up but the winds chilling her to the bone. She crossed the busy avenue, dodging the speeding buses and fast moving vehicles to get to her destination. that place across the street meant more than just a destination, she wondered if that was the truth or she was just dreaming again. And then, she stopped. She
closed her eyes and struggled to find her place in this ridiculous
situtation. She wasn't exactly complaining, she was just contemplating. Nothing seemed to be keeping up with her lately, but thankfully, she
wasn't a mess. Not like the last time when she sat down to re-think of
everything inside her head. Things never made sense in her life, that
was her only defense to all the crap that happened to her. Life's
unfair. People grow apart. Yeah, right. But choices have been made and
not everything happens the way you want them to be. Finding solace in one special place, she sat down on the bench, her legs tucked underneath her and her chin propped up on her hand. She gazed around, realizing that certain decisions really mean a lot. Things are not as simple as it used to be, but she's fine with it. She's scared. Yes, she knows that. Fear is something absolute in her life and she can't do anything about it but to face it. Someone told her, "You get to live with fear. You just have to face it." and she believed that. Fear lets you learn. Fear helps you face the truth. She sighed. She stood up, heading towards another direction. She knew that someone was waiting for her there. And thankfully there was. And so, she smiled. I want to jump from the sky and rule the world. And it all starts inside my head. | |||||
