About Me: I am a just-turned 18, fresh out of high school, American girl who's looking to get her bachelors in chemistry somewhere down the road. Blond hair, gray blue eyes. I work in a dog grooming shop. What else about me?
My favorite band is Bon Jovi, I adore chinese food. I live in Minnesota, also known as the land of 10,000 Lakes. My favorite place in all the world is Duluth, Minnesota. Which, btw, is home to the coldest lake in the United States. I love running, but not alone, I have a caffiene addiction, and I like stuff with anchors. Do not ask me why. In the next four years, my life's dreams are to graduate college, learn to ballroom dance, and spend a week in New York City with my two best friends in all the world- Eric and Becky. Both of whom are so supportive of my fanfiction obsession, both of whom are also music majors in college, play the clarinet and both of whom made the FATAL mistake of consenting to dorm with me for the next 3 years. (What were you idiots thinking?)
My stories!
Almond Eyes
This story actually started out as a charactor development excercise, trying to fill out Sirius's charactor for my other fic "A Little Bit Reckless". But, after six cups of coffee, three hours, and maybe a seventh cup of coffee, Almond Eyes was born. In the beginning of my duo-plotline, Sirius's story is so much more fascinating than Andromeda's. It's fast-paced, dramatic, and emotional. I don't know how well I captured this, but I'm happy with it thus far.
A Little Bit Reckless
Formerly known as "Taking a Risk", this is the story of Andromeda Black, born almost a year ago and so revamped and reedited that it doesn't even look like my original plan. In the beginning, she was a vampire, Sirius was out of Azkaban, and they met at Grimmauld place. Creepy, I know. Like I said, MAJOR editing. Anyway, her story starts out slowly, mostly because Andromeda is such a nonentity in JKR's world. She's a nobody, she's filler material. So I need to flesh out the bare bones, but trust me... once this snowball starts rolling, it's gonna turn into an avalanche.
Needing To Be Forgiven
Reading Deathly Hallows, I was very perturbed by the SS/LE abandoned ship. I think I, like so many others, was enchanted by the "Perfect love story" we see with Lily and James, that it sort of diminishes the beauty to have a broken heart left behind. I suppose nothing is perfect, though. This isn't my first attempt at a songfic, but I think it's my first actually succesful one. Dunno... you tell me! The song that inspired me to write Snape of all people was "More Than a Memory" by Garth Brooks.
Carbon-Copy
Isn't posted yet. BUT WILL BE SOON! I was writing chapter three of Almond Eyes, drinking my sixth (or seventh) cup of coffee, and listening to Timbaland's "Apologize" and I got this insane idea of writing from Regulus's perspective. I love Regulus, and I was dying to get inside his head a little bit. So I began outlining Carbon-copy, and I have a good half thousand words written. I'll probably post it after chapters 4 & 5 of Reckless and Almond Eyes, so wait for it.
A/N) Because I always forget to put it on my chapters, here it is now.
THE DISCLAIMER!!
I own nothing! The world and charactors of JKR are my blueprint and tools and I am merely trying to construct my own little fort. So if you please, review my work, but don't sue me! I am very very afraid.
(this accounts for every story, one-shot, poem, and/or other literary work I may contribute regarding Harry Potter.)
READERS!!
I am BEGGING you now. See what you've reduced me to? I only write fanfiction so that I can improve as a writer. My skills are already vastly improving, but I would appreciate a little help. If someone can drop me a line, saying "Hey, you might want to do ... better in the future" or "I don't think ... was a very strong part in the story" I would be so happy. I want to get better here. CRITICIZE ME! I'll thank you for it!
