Author has written 3 stories for Prince of Tennis. With each passing day, the world finds new and exciting ways to kill a man. Writing Status: Inactive. School's been a drag these past few weeks and I've been focusing on original fiction because that's where I have inspiration. School Status: Active. Currently in the second quarter of school. September 7, 2009 - School's a drag. It drains my brain cells out of me. About the Author Anime Lover. Below Legal Age. Daydreamer. Denmark Fan. Environmentalist. Female. Frustrated Pianist. Homosexual Rights Supporter. Hyper. Idealist. Ignorant. Lazy. Perfectionist. Procrastinator. Retarded. Straight. Stupidity on Two Legs. Tennis Fan. Video Game Lover. Wannabe Guitarist. Yaoi Fangirl. The name is Bea. How I got my pen name is irrelevant as well, but just so you know, I found this name on a local magazine and decided to use it around 3-4 years ago. I've had it ever since, and I don't plan to change it anytime soon. The pen name is simple, and quite easy to remember. I love it. I live in the Philippines (which is a country in South-East Asia, if you didn't know). My official timezone is GMT+8, so please don't get mad at me if I don't reply to your PMs or reviews quickly. It all depends on your timezone, honey. I recently moved houses, and the ones I'm living with aren't as strict with the usage of computers, so I am able to go online everyday, for a whole night if I don't have any homework. So I'll be able to reply to anything much sooner. Writing Habits, and Other Things About Writing First of all, I've just decided to write again, so my skills are really rusty. If my sentences tend to be wordy and too stretched, you can blame that on habit. I'm also the kind of writer whose inspiration is easily diminished, so I may or may not finish a particular story at a fast pace. Sometimes I tend to drop the project altogether just after I finished the first chapter. Anyway, I'm saying this just to inform you of my writing habits. I used to use really big words before, like "Herculean" instead of "big" and "diminutive" instead of "small". Hopefully I destroyed that habit altogether, so no one needs to fish for a dictionary or thesaurus every five minutes when reading my stories. Hehe. Most of my stories may or may not contain a large amount of angst. My personal life is nowhere near stable (it's a balance between school, family, and identity issues), and most of my thoughts are influenced by my surroundings. So if something bad has happened to me just recently, I may tend to transfer my despair to my writings. Fear not, though, since I am also easily swayed by the influences of good fanfiction! So if you think I write too much angst and you want me to lighten up, just send me good fanfiction! I am a slow updater and writer. Words flow and come to me at sporadic and random times; most of it come to me when I'm lying in bed, though. Should I set a definite date for an update, and won't be able to accomplish anything by then, I sincerely apologize. I do not want to rush anything I write, because whenever I post something, I want it to be meaningful and up-to-par. Rushing a chapter or a oneshot tends to give many problems to beta-readers, like endless typos and grammatical errors. I do not wish to stress my beta-readers, seeing that they are doing me a favor and not the other way around. And besides, a rushed chapter or story wouldn't satisfy the readers. So all in all, the readers win. Another thing worth noting is my almost strange (and obsessive) fixation and love for yaoi. I'm neutral when it comes to yuri, though I find some yuri pairings cute; for example, the Yoruichi/Soifon pairing for Bleach. I've also decided long ago that het pairings may be too much for me, save for the few pairings that I can tolerate (and even like!); for example, the Kei/Hikari and Tadashi/Akira pairings for Special A, and the Suzaku/Tenitsu pairing for Shounen Onmyouji, as well as others. May I also remind you that if you are not comfortable with yaoi, I suggest that you don't read any of my fanfics. I write yaoi, and only yaoi, should I write something romantic. I will not appreciate flames saying that yaoi is disgusting, because it absolutely makes no sense seeing that you clicked on one of my stories when you know that it contains yaoi. Consider yourself warned, and don't ever mention to me that I didn't send any warning. I am not a user of the concept of "love at first sight". It would not be often used in my fanfics, though there may be an exception for the sake of oneshots, such as Umbra. "Love" isn't just an ordinary word. In my opinion, the concept of "love at first sight" hinders the ability of the protagonist to mature as he/she struggles to define the feelings growing inside of them. Should a character fall in love within the first sight of a certain someone, it might cut off potential conflicts in a fic. Again, in my opinion, a story with romance as a genre should focus on the development of the affections that the protagonist has for his/her love interest. Again, should the concept be used, it would be eternally helpful if the author develops the concept as well. Of course, if the concept is performed flawlessly and without the use of too-common clichés, then I applaud. Please do not be offended, though, if ever you are a believer. I am merely stating my opinions on the subject. Also, I think I'm not even making sense here. But to sum it all up, here is what I meant to say: There is nothing wrong with "love at first sight", so long as there is still room for development on the case of the characters and their emotions and maturity. My beta-reader is FinalFallenFantasy. She's awesome; check her stories out! I'm also currently searching for a beta willing to read The World Ends with You stories, and I'm going to search for another one for Kingdom Hearts and my anime fandoms. I don't like putting responsibility on a single beta-reader; they'll feel pressured and rushed to return the chapter to you ASAP, regardless of the fact that they may have school or work (or even both, in some circumstances). They have lives outside FF.Net too, you know. Having more than one beta-reader allows you to give your beta a break once in a while, since you cannot expect them to be at your figurative side 24/7. Keep that in mind, writers. Fandoms Axis Powers: Hetalia. D.Gray-Man. Final Fantasy XII. Full Metal Alchemist. Katekyo Hitman Reborn!. Kingdom Hearts. Kyou Kara Maou!. Law of Ueki. Nabari no Ou.
