I've been a Harry Potter fan since late 2004, and started writing fan fiction at the beginning of 2006. All of my Harry/Ginny fictions are also located at http://www.siye.co.uk/siye/viewuser.php?uid=4300, and my Harry/Hermione fics are also at http://fanfiction.portkey.org/profile/24208. My feeling on those relationships is that either Harry/Ginny or Harry/Hermione would be good together, though I prefer Harry/Hermione, except that so many people who put those two together end up pairing Ginny with Draco, which I can't stand! I mean, his father gave her Riddle's diary, and he was in full support of what was going on. Just because he had a few seconds as a human being in HBP and DH does not mean Ginny would fall in love with him! I believe that Draco deserved to go to prison at the end of DH for at least a few years. The only reason his family wasn't fully supporting Voldemort at the end of that book was because Voldemort was mistreating them. They still completely agreed with his philosophies (and by the way, Lucius did nothing that earned him anything less than life in prison). The Malfoy family simply proved that they care more about themselves than Voldemort. Whatever else Ginny may be (and I don't mind her being portrayed as an airhead - I find it quite humorous) she is generally against Tom Riddle and his followers. My favorite H/Hr stories on this site are listed in my C2. My absolute favorite H/Hr author is chem prof.
As far as Ron goes, I don't care what happens to him. He was a jerk in PS when he insulted Hermione and had to be practically dragged by Harry to help her against a troll. He was a jerk in PoA toward Hermione regarding the Firebolt and Scabbers''s disappearance. He was a jerk in GoF toward Harry when his name came out of the goblet, and toward Hermione at the Yule Ball. He was a jerk toward both Hermione and Lavender (using her) in HBP. He was an even bigger jerk in DH when he abandoned his friends. Usually he's just comic relief. His only useful functions have been playing the huge chess game in first year and introducing Harry to his family. All that's going on in his head are Quidditch and chess, and that does not make him a brilliant strategist as so many people seem to think he is. His only true talents are playing chess, making Hermione cry, and abandoning Harry when he needs friends the most.
I tend to update each of my stories once per month. If I happen to update one more often, consider yourself lucky (or unlucky if you don't like it).
I've never understood the cowardice of people who flame a story and don't have the guts to sign in when you they do it. What I do when I start reading a story I don't like is stop reading it, without leaving a review, and looking for a story I do enjoy. In regards to reviewing, I follow the rule: If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. In my opinion, fanfic authors should not be held to the same standard as professional authors. So my request to readers is to not be insulting in your reviews for my stories or anybody else's stories. Nobody is forcing you to read them, and you didn't have to pay for the privilege.
I beta for zeropolis79's stories, so you may wish to read them as well.
I tend not to force my beliefs on others, but I am a Christian (and I don't think enjoying fictional magical fantasy contradicts that) and am involved in a ministry called New Life - Christian Development and Fellowship, and write monthly Bible Studies located here. I encourage you to visit those websites if you wish. I will point out that the characters in my fanfictions don't necessarily always act like I believe a true Christian would (mainly because JKR never said they were Christians).
