| TwiLyght Sans Sparkles |
Author has written 29 stories for Static Shock, Harry Potter, Spider-Man, Danny Phantom, and Twilight. This page is under construction. (And between you and me, I don't think it'll ever be done. ;)) Note: I have re-enabled anonymous reviews. Use them wisely. ;) Also, I like reviews. I like knowing what people think of my stories--whether it's "OOH! THIS IS TOTALLY WICKED!!" or "U write this crap?" Take that as you will. :P Name: Danielle Religion: Christian Location: I move between Narnia, Middle-Earth, Hogwarts, Dakota (the city and home of Static, not the two most boring states in the Union) New York City (home of Spiderman) and Gotham, making brief stops in what some call "the real world." Interests: Writing, reading, music, writing, superheroes, friends, politics Favorite Books: Thr3e, Saint, the Circle Trilogy, Showdown and Blink by Ted Dekker, all seven Harry Potter books, almost anything by Frank Peretti, the Ultimate Spiderman comic books, almost anything X-Men, anything by Lynn Austin, The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne, The Chronicles of Narnia and Till We Have Faces by C.S. Lewis, The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien, the Shiloh Legacy series by Bodie Thoene, Frankenstein by Mary Shelley, and probably more that I've forgotten. Favorite Movies: WALL-E, Up, Bolt, Monsters vs. Aliens, The Dark Knight, all three X-Men and Spiderman movies, Batman Begins, Sweet Home Alabama, Cars, Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, A Series of Unfortunate Events, Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Shrek 1, Shrek 2, all three Lord of the Rings, Monsters Inc., and more, I'm sure. Favorite Bands: The Afters, Within Temptation, Nightwish, Goo Goo Dolls, Relient K, Pillar, All-American Rejects, Simple Plan, The Showdown, Stellar Kart, Jars of Clay, Delerious?, Rob Thomas, DC Talk, TobyMac, Coldplay, The Fray, Skillet, Family Force 5, Johnny Cash, Anberlin and more. Favorite TV Shows: The Office, Burn Notice, Static Shock, Fairly OddParents, Phineas and Ferb, Recess, SpongeBob SquarePants, Lost, Psych, Monk and an assortment of other shows I watch when there's nothing better on. My Pen Name As some of you may have noticed, I just changed my pen name. This has nothing to do with aliens, the Witness Protection Program or me not liking the name TwiLyght anymore. On the contrary, I like the pen name TwiLyght. I do not, however, like the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer, and I don't appreciate being called a "sparkly freak" by people I happen to disagree with. And while most everyone I have met here on Fanfiction has been wonderful, people on other sites where I use the same name are not. (And while we're on this topic, allow me to give a piece of advice to all aspiring debaters: DON'T MOCK YOUR OPPONENT'S NAME--SCREEN OR OTHERWISE. It's rude and immature and in most cases has NOTHING to do with the topic at hand. I've left two sites already because of immature people who can't come up with a decent comeback besides "you sparkly freak" or "I HATE your name.") In light of this--and of the fact that I have friends on this site who would be confused if I suddenly changed my name, I have changed it to TwiLyght Sans Sparkles, for I am neither a fan of vampires nor sparkly. If I ever write about vampires, I will take a more traditional route (translation: vulnerable to wooden stakes and sunlight, no sparkles). If I ever write for the Twilight fandom, it will be to either parody or improve it. I will not use the canon pairings, and the vampires will actually be dangerous. Let me put it this way: Stephenie Meyer once said that she is anti-human, and it shows in her writing. I am very pro-human, and it shows in mine. As you can probably see, I love almost anything that has to do with superheroes. The only superhero movie I've seen that I didn't like was Superman Returns because I never liked Superman to begin with. Superman is a joke. Seriously, he's a virtually invincible man in Spandex and everyone loves him? And do you honestly expect me to believe that simply putting on a pair of glasses and combing his hair over his forehead keeps people from figuring out that Clark Kent is really Superman? Sorry to rant. Again, I love pretty much anything that has to do with superheroes--provided the superheroes are interesting and have a human dimension to them and the movie/comic book/novel/fanfic about the hero is well-done. I LOVE constructive criticism. While fawning praise is good as well, concrit is what I like. So as long as you have good intentions in mind (ie, helping me make the story better), feel free to point out the smallest of flaws in my stories. If you don't point out what needs improvement, how can I make it better? A Superhero-loving Nerd's Perspective... Being a serial killer isn't a line of work I would endorse, but if you insist upon taking that career path, I would recommend being a serial killer in a comic book universe, preferably Spiderman's. Why? Because if you're a serial killer in our world, you are despised, weak, and at the mercy of our criminal justice system which is incredibly biased against mass-murderers. But in a comic book universe, you are strong and probably have superpowers and a good-sized fanbase in our world. (Again, I would recommend Spiderman's universe. Carnage has powers that put any other supervillain's powers to shame. If you started there, I'm sure he would give you a few pointers. Best of all, you'd have at least a few people in our world who liked you.) Do you see yourself as more of a playful yet cynical psychopath? Batman's universe is the one for you. Break all the rules you want, devise the most sadistic schemes to get under Batman's skin--and then, once he gets there, abandon the original plan and go with a completely different one. The Joker will be proud. Just don't expect to be portrayed by Heath Ledger in the movie version. That ship has sailed. (SOB!) Quotes: "I don't smart." My friend Paige "I reprogrammed the TV! We only get three channels now: on, off, and BATMAN!" My brother "The problem with trying to make yourself stupider than you actually are is that you most often succeed." CS Lewis "Nothing is easier than sinning." Martin Luther "All right, DIRT! You win, DIRT!" Adrian Monk, surrounded by dirt "We found prints." "Would I rather be feared or loved? I would have to say...both. I want people to be afraid of how much they love me." Michael Scott "I've never hunted vampires. I have hunted werewolves, though. I shot one once. But by the time I got to it, it had turned back into my neighbor's dog." Dwight Shrute Pairings I Like: Harry/Ginny Ron/Hermione Draco/Asteria Draco/Hermione Lupin/Tonks Theo/Millicent (I came up with this one) Tom/OC (if it's well done and the OC is female) Umbridge/Avada Kedavra Virgil/Daisy Richie/Frieda, Shenice or any well-written OC Hotstreak/Talon Pairings I Hate: Harry/Hermione Any slash, but especially... Harry/Draco (friendship fics are okay, though) Voldemort/Harry (EEEEWWWWWW!!) Any teacher/student (unless time travel) Ron/Pansy (unless Pansy has a personality transplant) Any incest (cousins count too) Edward/Bella Virgil/Richie (they're friends, people) Notes on Deleted Stories Shattered Mask has been taken down for lack of plot and because I decided I hated it. If enough people tell me they want a redo, I'll start over. Vendetta has also been taken down to allow me more time for research on WWII and post-WWII Britain. A Quick Apology... Sorry to any Twilight fans who happened to cross my page. I honestly didn't mean to offend you, and if I met you I'd probably like you on some level. I just don't like Twilight. It's poorly written and makes spousal abuse, pedophilia and evil in general seem romantic, and there is no way I can support that sort of thing. So it's nothing against you; I just don't like the books. When I mock the books, I'm mocking the books and not you. Please don't take it personally. That would make me sad. If you have ever bumped into a chair and said "sorry," copy and paste this into your profile. If you like penguins, copy and paste this into your profile. If you are NOT heartless and just don't like copying and pasting stories/poems about tragic events/ scenarios into your profile, copy and paste this into your profile. If you don't write or read slash, copy and paste this into your profile. IF YOUR LIFE WAS A MOVIE, WHAT WOULD THE SOUNDTRACK BE? Opening Credits: "A Whisper and a Clamor" Anberlin Waking Up: "Misery Business" Paramore First Day At School: "Breakfast" Newsboys Falling In Love: "Oh! Gravity" Switchfoot Fight Song: "Never Let Me Go" Family Force 5 Breaking Up: "I Won't Back Down" Tom Petty Prom night: "Fireflies" Owl City Life: "Jesus Freak" DC Talk (Yeah baby!)
