Author has written 2 stories for Lord of the Rings. PROFILE UPDATED: April 11, 2009 NOTICE: I would like to wish a very happy twenty-first birthday to Georg... Even though I missed it, I swear it wasn't my fault. I would also like to say that if anyone PMs me- (This includes you, Chrissy-) I may not get back to you for awhile. My computer is having issues which prevent me from sending messages. And I mean any messages, including profile updates, emails, and messaging on sites like this one. So, if you want to get in touch with me quickly, send me an email and I will respond using my other computer. Danke!! It's amazing how much pointless information can fit into such a small space, isn't it? And so I am going to spare you minutes of boredom and only tell you the basics. Meaning, things that actually matter on FF.net. Like, how much I detest Mary Sues. Did you know that every time a Mary Sue is created, there are 10,000 less stars in the sky? And every time a Sue is born, the world grows darker? Needless to say, Mary Sues are hazardous to our overall mental health, and I despise them more than words can tell you. They seriously give me nightmares. I am not joking. However contradictory it is, though, I do enjoy making Mary Sue parodies. Emphasis on parodies. (If in need of an explanation why, see paragraph above.) My friend and I made a rather interesting one recently; maybe I'll post it. The other thing that most bothers me is when authors say "No flames, please." People give you flames when your story is bad, and if you are flamed, than you usually deserve it. Granted, some people do go a bit overboard, but most times, constructive criticism is to help authors improve their technique. If you cannot handle being put done, don't post your stories. Kay. Almost done, just one more thing. NOBODY LIKES TO READ CRAP. So use spellcheck. It bothers me to no end when I read stories that use IM language, like 'lol' or 'brb'. That's for IM, people, so just don't please. Also, I recommend using a beta. If any of you would like, I will be more than happy to beta for you. Whew. Finally, I'm done. I apologize for ranting, but some things just need to be said. I may actually try posting something on here sometime, if you have any ideas, please send them to me. Thank you for your time. | |||||||||
