I now have a livejournal. Here's a link: http://uu666.livejournal.com/
My OTP is Adult!Rin/Jaken of Inuyasha, although, I also think Young!Rin with a crush on Jaken is adorable; I just don't think it should be in any way reciprocated unless/until she's of age. It's a shame I can't find any non-parody fics that deal with a romantic relationship between the two of them. My stories: Shapes and The Bells Chime are the only ones I've seen, and really, Shapes is too one-sided to really be considered a romantic fic. Plus, y'know, I wrote them. So, if anyone happens to come across any non-parody Rin/Jaken romance fics, I'd be very grateful if you'd PM the information to me.
About my stories:
Some of them contain things like abortion and homosexuality (slash). I always put a label on those that do.
I hardly ever use swearing in my stories. I never use the word that starts with an 'f' and ends with 'uck' or the word that starts with a 'b' and ends in 'itch' or the word that starts with 'c' and ends with 'unt'. I find all three of those words terribly vulgar and personally offensive. Well, the last two I get insulted by; the first, I've just been taught all my life not to use and have a knee-jerk habit of wincing when I hear it (thank you, conservative family of mine. I hate wincing when I'm actually enjoying a good book/tv show/movie because of words, even ones I personally disagree with such as the latter two). However, there will occasionally be some minor swearing in some of my stories.
My characterisation might be different from yours. My idea of who makes and doesn't make a good pairing might be different from yours.
I have no problem being told what your views are and why. I welcome grammatical/spelling criticism.
However, I do have a problem with rudeness. If you can't tell/criticise without insults, please, don't bother. I will put you on my author's blocking list and not bother to respond. With everyone else, I always hit the review reply as soon as I read the review and thank him/her/them for reviewing.
So long, now.
Oh, and:
Disclaimer: I do not own any of the fandoms I write.
My rant:
Why is it that fics with horrid grammar and spelling, shoddy and/or completely OOC characterisations, predicatable and/or blatantly idiotic storylines, and/or inexcusable plot holes are more likely to get reviews than engaging fics with proper grammar and spelling?
I've been slowly leaving a review for all the stories added to the C2 I share with Obsessive Reader, and I can't believe how little some of the fics have gotten.
And the sad thing?
I could understand if most of the reviews the undeserving fics got were constructive criticism. I won't agrue that they don't need it and that they couldn't possibly improve because of it.
However, most of the reviews are praising the dismal works.
Am I the only one who sees something irrationally unjust in this?
