Wow, it has been some time. To recap my extended absence of practically forever, I graduated from college, and am currently working part time in retail. I know, right? Totally living the dream. But while not at work, I've been planning and drawing new animations for my demo reel, and I've also stumbled across the opportunity to illustrate a manga. Unfortunately, I'm not being paid for my illustrations, but if the manga sells, I get a percentage of the rewards. And because I have no bills, am completely broke, and still living at home, I figure it's worth the shot and that I have nothing to lose. :D

Somewhere in between all of this art stuff I will be editing some of these old fics I have on here that I've been meaning to fix. Eventually I'd like to finish all that I have started, but that probably will take another lifetime due to a busy schedule and plain old procrastination.

You Are But A Pet - I revised/rewrote this a few months back and finally have the new version posted. I believe it reads a lot smoother than the older one.

God's Menagerie- Lol no one probably even remembers this one since I took it down a few years ago. Here, have a summary: Jumanji fusion. “I’ll go next!” Momiji scooped up the dice, shaking them. Letting go, the dice rolled to a stop. “Seven!” Momiji cheered, reaching for his rabbit. But before he touched it, the little figurine slowly slid across the path on its own.

The first 5 chapters have been rewritten/revised, and there will be a total of 10 chapters. You'd think 5 chapters wouldn't take very long, but well, this is me we are talking about here XD

I have quite a bit of stories fav'ed on here, but it's really hard to find fics in the mystery/suspense/horror genre that aren't lame or easily figured out after the first chapter. While I enjoy many types of stories - action, romance, fantasy, etc, the suspense/thriller is my favorite, and I am very picky about which ones I read. Here is a small list of ones that I highly enjoyed, and have read multiple times. If you haven't read them yet, I recommend it.

Love Remains, by girlstarfish

Fandom: Fruits Basket

Genre: Angst/Mystery

Summary: (AU) Tohru is delighted to live in the Souma mansion but quickly discovers the house hides a mystery. Can she rescue Yuki and Kyou from the family's dark past or will the curse claim another victim?

Status: Completed

My thoughts: I have yet to read a ghost story that I enjoy more. This plot is original, and the entire zodiac cast is tied in very neatly, and every character is essential to the plot. The challenge of using each zodiac member spurred me to begin my first fic, God's Menagerie (which is not uploaded atm).

The Seibu Project, by Zelia Theb

Fandom: Yu Yu Hakusho

Genre: Suspense/Horror

Summary: Conspiracy: a seemingly abandoned military facility becomes the site of the boys' latest case. If only they could contain their fear during the investigation, then perhaps they'd make it out alive. [Mystery[ShounenAi]

Status: Completed

My thoughts: This one is creepy, but in a good way! There are many twists and turns in this fic, and it keeps you on edge. This author tied in a real life conspiracy theory which makes the fic that much more suspenseful.

Too Into You, by Potgenie

Fandom: Digimon

Genre: Suspense/Mystery

Summary: One anniversary. Two deaths. Twelve suspects. One murderer. AU.

Status: Incomplete, 7 chapters written

My thoughts: I really, really hope this one will get completed. In a sense it reminds you of Clue with the whole, "who did it?" kind of feel, but it is far superior to the game. We follow the interrogations as the case unravels, and get subtle clues with flashbacks that reveal little by little of what happened. This is written very well, to the point where I have no idea who the murderer is.

Fandom: Digimon

Genre: Horror/Drama

Summary: Someone or something killed seven of the original Chosen. Only the eighth knows what happened, but what if he did it himself?

Status: Incomplete, 1 chapter written

My thoughts: Not your typical "so and so goes insane and decides to kill everyone" deal. While the author didn't research too much into the court systems (it could run a bit smoother), the potential this plot has is amazing. All I keep asking is "why?" and "what really happened in there?" It's definitely worth a look.
