My name is Vena.

I enjoy writing, reading, figure skating, singing, playing piano, talking politics, and mountain biking.

I look like Alice Cullen.

I will be a minor for approximately one more year.

I don't expect much out of life.

I don't care what people think of me.

I'm extremely opinionated.

I write to clear my head.

I don't expect people to like my stories.

I don't expect people to agree with what I write.

I am a grammar freak.

I am a tough critic.

I am not a review whore.

I will not stand for copying of any sort upon any of my work or that of others.

I don't care if people favourite my work or review my stories,
just that they read and enjoy them.

I don't expect people to tell me if they like my stories.

However, it makes me happy when they do.

I write to entertain,
not to please.

I write because I can,
not because I have to.

I think that fanfiction is a waste of time,
but it's a damn addicting waste of time.
(That's not to say that I don't enjoy it a great deal.)

Love me or hate me,
I'm not going anywhere,
and neither are my stories.

Breaking news:
Vena is now available for beta reading. That's right; if you need a story beta-read, I'd be happy to do it for you. I require between one and three days per chapter or one-shot; obviously, the shorter the chapter, the quicker it'll be done. But I'll take anything; the good, the bad, the catastrophic. Yaoi/yuri, threesomes, six-somes, outrageous pairings, suicidals, raving murderous lunatics and more, I'll take it all. Ship it over.

This is mostly just to let my readers know that I'm still not dead. I'm quite alive, just inhumanely busy.

Like I said, I am at present completely and entirely overwhelmed with schoolwork, actual work (I work two jobs), youth group, figure skating, tennis, CAS/Extended Essay (damn the IB...), college searches, college visits, SAT prep, etcetera. The list is actually a great deal longer than that, but those are the major components of my life at present; needless to say, fanfictions are very low on my priorities list at the moment. Thus, I'm continuing the hiatus I announced in December indefinitely until my life calms down somewhat. That's not to say I absolutely will not turn new work out during this time, because I might--but don't be surprised if I don't.

Oh! I also just recently got accepted as a beta reader into this wonderful listing called Perfect Imagination. You can find me on there, as well as a number of other excellent beta readers. The way PI is set up allows for a very tailored match between authors and their betas, which is nice.
