| Draconic Caduceus |
Author has written 11 stories for Transformers/Beast Wars. Penname: Draconic Caduceus Nickname: Ina-baka, Ina, Kiddo (. . . twitch), Er Real Name: ((is embarrassed/hates name)) Location: In the middle of scenic blue nowhere xD;; Hair: some weird brownish color Eyes: Dark, dark brown. Height: 5' 2" Likes: writing stories, reading, Transformers, dragons, my friends, music, cats, animals, archery, riflery, weapons, explosions, fire, the acronym FUBAR, any war movies with big explosions, gore, and weapons where I can learn more about weaponry, cheesy sci-fi movies (WHOOO! GO SCI-FI SATURDAY XD), and a whole bunch of other stuff I can't remember right now because I'm a ditz that way :) . Dislikes: Slugs, snails, sea cucumbers, caterpillars, worms, anything squishy and slimy at the same time, people who irritate me, people who are vain, people who continue to irritate me, having random strangers I hardly/don't even know hit on me, being treated like a kid, milk, arguments, having to shout, being shouted at, having people mad at me, clowns, screaming or raising my voice, hospital-smell, car air-fresheners, humidity, being made fun of... the list goes on. xD;; Religious Beliefs (because sometimes, apparently, it makes a difference): I was born into a Christian family. Sort of. My dad was born in a Buddhist family and my mom was born in a Catholic family. By the time they had me, they were Christian but left it up to me to decide if I wanted to be baptized. But, as I was in a Christian school at that time, it was kind of like peer pressure and I agreed to be baptized because it was almost a requirement for school more than because I wanted to. So now that I'm older, because I didn't have that I-chose-this-religion-because-I-like-it aspect when I was young, I find myself questioning what I was raised to believe. If God loves us all, why does He discriminate? He says that no matter what we do, He still loves us, and that we only go to Hell through our own choice (that's what my pastor says, anyway), so why do we thrust our beliefs down other peoples' throats and scream that gays and lesbians are all going to hell? Quite frankly, it irritates me. I guess that makes me a bit of a liberal Christian, then, hmm? Personality quizzes: fun. I have determined that I am a soldier, a mild-mannered person, a dragon tamer, my army nickname is Brain Trust (O.o), Jason Vorhees (http://www.liquidgeneration.com/quiz/images/jason.jpg), Freddy Krueger (http://www.liquidgeneration.com/quiz/images/villain_freddy.jpg), and ... Brawn? http://www.liquidgeneration.com/Media/Games/The_Ultimate_Transformers_Quiz/ http://www.liquidgeneration.com/content/011206/Card_Brawn.jpg Stories in chronological order: Katie's 'Wonderful' Adventures Series: Welcome to My Crazy Life (Random Stories shared by Katie): Dragon's Story: Story Notes from the Authoress: "Friends" and "Come What May": Okay. I originally thought up the idea for this story a little while after I saw the movie when I was thinking about my trip to Georgia and about my second-half-cousin. That's how I got the name Katie from, and a little about her character. Uh, let's see... Katie is mute (but not my second-half-cousin) because of her mother, and despite this, she still actually cares for her, yadda, yadda, yadda. This is all explained in "Friends". At one point I asked if anyone wanted some romance, and got requests for JazzxKatie which brought up "Come What May". I thought "Friends" was already long enough, so I made it a separate story; that way if people didn't want a JazzxKatie pairing, then they could finish reading "Friends" with them still being friends and not lovers. Those that want a JazzxKatie pairing could read on to "Come What May" if they like. :) I'm actually rather surprised that some people actually like these stories (well, at least "Friends"), so I send a warm, heart-felt "Thank-you" to those who care. :) Inspired by "Friends" by Na Leo Pilimehana and "Come What May". "Precious" : Armonie, the saucy Italian woman is introduced in "Friends" with Hot Rod as her guardian. She mentions briefly that she had come from Italy with Hot Rod to find the other Autobots, but soon after I started "Come What May", I began to think: what could cause someone to leave their home country to follow their alien guardian and find others of his kind? The entire story of "Precious" will be about Armonie meeting Hot Rod and what happens between the day she meets him and the time she leaves Italy for good to go to America. The story is called "precious" because in Italian, "Armonie" means "precious gift from the heavens" or something like that. It's also the "oddball story" because it is the only story (so far) that wasn't inspired by a song. "What I've Done" : Sequel to "Friends". It happens a while after Katie recovers and starts off simple with a family reunion where we meet half-blind Erin and her step-sister Nicole. A new enemy , a new danger, a strange sickness, and a few surprising allies appear just after the reunion, and Katie, Maggie, Army, Jordan, Snowy, and their Autobot guardians find themselves in the middle of a rather surprising twist - the AllSpark in their very midst, acting as a symbiot with Katie's saucy cousin! "Simple Gifts" : Jordan is known as a no-nonsense policewoman with a soft spot for her Autobot guardian and newfound friends. Scratch that: a soft spot for her friends and a very big soft spot for her Autobot guardian. ;) This story starts the day they met for the very first time, to how they became partners, how they moved to partner to friend, and lastly (for those who had requested it) friend to lover. "The Truth About Heaven" : For once, it wasn't the twins' fault. We were just experiments. They used us as farking guinea pigs. They tried to break us. I doubt my host will ever really recover from the experimentation. She wakes me up sometimes with nightmares, and if I listen hard enough, I can hear some of the others wake up from similar nightmares. I understand it - I constantly relive my host's experience of the tests. 'I came out here to tell you/It rains in heaven all day long/I wanna find you so bad and let you know/I'm miserable up here without you'. I'll tell you the truth about heaven - it ain't Paradise. "Memoirs of a Brainless Brute" : Well, this is a relatively old story. You can find the horrid, original version on deviantArt...somewhere. If you really wanna know, send me a message and send you a link. But I warn you; it sucks. A good friend of mine (Spiritimus Prime, of course :3) had asked me a while ago what happened to Dragon's Story: Russet, and I told her that it was under revision. Honestly, I was going to revise it, but my muse for the story began her long cycle of hibernation for one reason or another. Now that she's reminded me of it, my muse woke up, and is chattering away with my muse for The Truth About Heaven in my head. I can just imagine what school's gonna be like. I've changed a lot in this revised version of it, so those few who have read the original may be a little lost. Characters are switched, and the Twins' demeanors, appearances, and interactions are much different. Not to mention their names. As I think about it now, it may have been a bad idea to call them Moon and Sun. -~-; "Keiki 'O Ka 'Aina": Athena is lost, and when one has amnesia, it can be rather unsettling to suddenly have memories flying at you seemingly from nowhere. Convinced that he knows how to help her, Ratchet takes Athena, Arcee, Bumblebee, and the humans to Hawaii - where Erin was originally from - for the summer. But first...well, he has to make a few arrangements. ;) Updates: (5/12/09): My birthday passed. Yay. I am officially one year older. Whoo. Got called 'old' by my friends and family. TToTT Okay, anyway, I asked my friend to draw a picture for me, so she drew me a picture of Russ and Gold, as seen on my deviantArt page, here: http://inabikaritamashii.deviantart.com/art/Russet-and-Gold-revised-120842550 (2/10/09): Yay! I finished The Truth About Heaven! Now I can get to work on the sequel. That is, if everyone still wants one... Look for it: it'll be called Keiki 'O Ka 'Aina, which means 'Children of the Earth/Land' in Hawaiian. I just got back from my trip to Washington D.C., and find myself missing it already. It was the awesomest experience of my life. :3 (1/12/09): Good news! My muse hasn't quite returned, but I found a new muse. School starts up tomorrow, and in around three weeks, I'm going to spend a week in D.C. and freeze my sorry butt off. A little nervous about all the snow and the cold, so anyone got any tips? I lives in a tropical area. ;) Yeah. School. Uh, soccer season's over, and track season won't start until February, so I'm going to really try to finish The Truth About Heaven. Yeah, I have a poll up about the ending, and I'm sorry for those two who have voted so far for the fifth option, but 1) I have no idea how I'd separate them, and 2) I decided that it'd be best - at least for this story - to keep Athena "whole." I may separate them later if everyone wants that, but for now, Athena will be present for the rest of the story. Uh, what else... Yea. Whoever votes has until Wednesday to vote. Then the poll will close and I will begin working on the final chapter. :3 (1/6/09): Mele Kalikimaka and Hau'oli Makahikihou! Okay, okay, it's a little late, but don't think I don't know that. Sadly, I've hit a roadblock on The Truth About Heaven, but it's coming along. How You Remind Me is constantly demanding attention, not to mention my winter break assignment I have for English. :( Once I finish my last essay (which I am currently working on), I will get back to work on The Truth About Heaven and see if I can't get back on track. I know what's going to happen, and what has to happen, but I just got lost on the in-between parts. Well, Happy Holidays (even though it passed). Ciao! (12/22/08): Mele Kalikimaka! Christmas is coming around the corner, and I'm getting less and less sleep. My muse for The Truth About Heaven has demanded a holiday break, so I'm toughing it through the next chapter without him/her (I still don't know if it's a boy or a girl). I assure you that I'm working on it, and hope to be finished soon. I am only on the second or third page, and a usual chapter for me is around five to seven pages in Microsoft Word. It is coming along very slowly. :( Note about Reviews: I received an anonymous review from someone calling themselves 'Dandyparakeet.' I am not adverse to anonymous reviews. Sometimes I review anonymously, myself. However, Dandyparakeet asked a question and I would like to answer her/him. Anyone who reviews knows that I (usually) send a reply back, even if it only says 'thank you for your review :)'. I don't mind questions, and especially if there's a question I will answer it, but if you anonymously ask me a question without giving me contact information for me to answer you, it makes it harder for you to know the answer. I know that I myself am painfully curious, so if I mustered up the guts to review and ask, I would want my question answered. So if anyone has a question but no account, could you please give me an e-mail address or something so I can answer it? Ah, well. Anyway, he/she asked: 'Wait... so, she was alive that entire time? Because in the beginning of the story, Russ had been dead for an entire month. And the ending doens't make sense either because throughout the story, Prowl and co are still alive, and at the end they die in the attack, even though the battle where Sophie died is mentioned before they die... I'm feeling very confused'. The answer to that may be a little confusing, and may also accidentally give away some things: The entire story is like a flashback. Windtreader/Russ lives her life up until she meets Narzenim. Then she dies. Then Narzenim wants to know the things she had never had the courage to ask, and in the process finds her "diary." So Narzenim sets about working on a sort of autobiography-slash-biography of Russ. The story is told more from her point of view, but it is the story of Russ's origins. There are two different timelines in this story: the "present" day (Narzenim's time where Russ is dead), and the "past" (before Narzenim's time where Russ is alive and young). Each timeline as they change is marked with Present Day or the year and place. (Present Day is set at around 2032) In regards to the ending, I'm sorry that it may have been confusing. In Narzenim's time, Prowl is alive, but during the story, he is alive as well. I can see how that can prove confusing. Prowl dies in the Battle of Autobot City, as the story says, but like Optimus, is brought back, which would explain his presence in Narzenim's time and his knowledge of Russ, Jazz, and many of the other Autobots mentioned. Whenever Prowl and Narzenim are mentioned in the same "bubble," it refers to the "future" Prowl rather than the "past" Prowl. The same has happened with Slash, Windcharger, Ratchet, Wheeljack, and Skywarp (I believe I mentioned him in passing). The journals that Narzenim was given cut off after Russet had been captured, so she had to move on to the next part, which happened to be the battle of Autobot City. However, Narzenim noticed that the girl that Russ had saved had made another appearance so she researched her. Lisa Sophie Hahns proved to be an interesting subject for her so she elaborated because everyone had been so caught up in the mess of things in the Battle that they didn't notice her presence so much. Okay, I think that's it. We good? Did I answer your question, or does it require further elaboration? | |||||||||||||
