Alone Together - Quite possibly the greatest Kim Possible fanfic ever written, in my humble opinion. This masterpiece written by Falite 200 delves into the most common of KP plotlines; the Kigo fic. Here, Kim and Shego are transported to another dimension where they are the only human beings on Earth. With no one but each other for company, the duo must learn to survive together. But trusting one's most hated enemy is the most difficult challenge either of them have had to face. What I loved most about this fic is how Falite slowly but surley leans into a relationship between the two that eventually becomes love. Where as most fics have Kim and Shego hiding their feelings for one another which they openly admit early on, here they are still mortal enemies. It is their need of companionship and the challenge of facing an increasingly hostile world that brings them together. Falite unites these two in a journey that just brings the reader into the story. Before the end, you are longing for Kim and Shego to be together. The later half of the story leaves you on the edge of your seat. I highly reccomend this to anyone who loves Kigo or just loves a great story.

Where Have all the Villains Gone? - This is the first story I have ever reviewed when I joined Fanfiction.net. It centers around Shego who realizes something very fishy is going on when Dr. Drakken returns from a vacation and no longer wants to rule the world. Enlisting the help of Senor Senior Junior, she ventures out to the vacation spot and returns a different woman, with no understanding of why. Eventually, Shego uncovers a conspiracy meant to wipe out villainy once and for all. She must put a stop to this for all of evilkind. Ryan Phelman's work intrigued me with its easy-to-follow-plot, witty dialouge and interesting take on the KP universe. In a sense, Shego is the hero of the story and you find yourself rooting for her all the way. A story not to be missed!

Kim Possible: I am Jedi -This new story from Trombe turned out to be a real surprise. I'm not a fan of crossovers but the author managed to take two of my favorite programs, Kim Possible and Star Wars, and meld them into an action-packed epic that takes place shortly before the events of Episode Two: Attack of the Clones. Here, Kim and Ron are training to become Jedi Knights. Many familiar faces, such as Bonnie Rockwaller, Tara, and Rabbi Katz, provide the additinal roles of fellow Jedi. Trombe places KP characters in roles that perfeclty suit them in the Star Wars universe. From Zita as a wisecracking rogue on the Smuggler's Moon of Nar Shada, to the Seniors as rich crooks trying to expand their criminal empire, to Yori and Hirotaka as members of the deadly assassins group known as the Anzati. It's a wild ride and one I hope to get back on real soon.

Bleeding Out/Bleeding Through - The greatest evil imaginable is about to befall humanity and Shego is at the center of it all. That comet that struck her family's treehouse years ago did more than give her powers. It embedded her with the essence of the Unshaper, a thing that seeks to bring the universe back into darkness. Mattk creates an incredible saga that begins with Kim Possible winding up in the hospital after Shego's genocidal attack on Middleton High in Bleeding Out. From that point on, it's up to Ron to take up the world-saving business. But slowly, he begins to lose his self control. Bleeding Through continues where that story left off, where as the darkness in Shego begins to take hold and Kim and Ron must come to terms with their destiny. The ultimate battle between life and death begins as characters from all over the KP world make an appearance. A must read.

Redeemable? There are quite a few Bonnie fics out there, but none of them, that is to me, approach the quality of writing of Commander Argus' story. Kim Possible is nowhere to be seen in this fic. Instead, it focuses soley on Bonnie as she tries to move on past her former life in Middleton. Attending university in Go City, she meets a most unlikely suitor in a boy named Melvin. What she doesn't know is that Melvin is actually a member of the crime-fighting superheroes known as Team Go. Mego is not the best looking guy in school and his social skills require alot of work, yet something between he and Bonnie clicks. It's starts off as passion, but then turns to something more wonderful. But these people are from two differnet worlds. How can they possibly get together? Sure, it's a romance story, but it doesn't go overboard with the mushy stuff. Commander Argus lets you see through the eyes of two of KP's most overlooked characters in a new light.

Timebreaker - For those of you who love time travel and all its bizarre consequences, this one's for you. Shallow 15's story is anything but shallow as it draws you in the repercussions of meddling with forces beyond one's control. Kim loses someone she loves during a botched mission. So she decides to do something about it. Traveling through time, Kim prevents that tragic event from ever happening. But then she dies. Try as she might, Kim cannot seem to repair the damage she has done to the timestream. What's worse, a sinister force is watching her, slowly drawing her into its dark dimension. How can she hope to escape something so powerful that it can control the very fabric of time itself? Very edge of your seat story.

Brothers at Arms - Winx Club may be coming to an end but with stories like this I don't see the fanfiction ending anytime soon. Tears-in-Rain retells the the first season of the series...but through the boys' perspective. Here, we get to see what Brandon, Riven, Sky and Timmy were doing while the fairies were battling it out with the witches. I was completely entranced by the events laid out before me. From the get-go, Rain brings the specialists of Red Fountain to life and not just the protagonists, but the supporting characters as well. Suddenly, the school seems more than just a hangout for wannabe heroes. This story makes the boys and their teachers seem like real people and you find that while the girls were trying to save the unvierse, the boys were desperatly trying to save their friendship. Undoubtingly, this is my favorite Winx story. For any fan would have to be a fool to pass this one up.

Away from Me - Another Winx Club fic though this time centers around my favorite fairy, Flora. When a terrible darkness descends upon Alfea, it's up to Flora, Bloom and the rest of the Winx Club to stand against it. But their chances are slim. Afterall, this evil is powerful enough to defeat not only Lord Darkar, but other members of the elemental circle. Can true love save the day or is it the end for the magical universe? Lady Warrioress creates a splendid tale of love, danger, adventure, and intrigue. A wonderful story.

Shocked - All Kim Possible fans have seen So the Drama and many varaitions of the story have been written. How about one where Ron does not end up with Kim...but Bonnie? For all you RonBon fans out there, this story is a wonderful recreation of the movie. Kim Possible is so infautated with Josh Mankey that she throws Ron to the curb. Sensing a chance to hurt Kim, Bonnie moves in and tries to sway Ron to her favor. But her plan backfires as she slowly begins to see Ron differently. But when Josh dumps Kim and she is distraught with anguish, Kim is infuriated to see her best friend consorting with her greatest rival. Kim decides to do something about that. And it involves Tara! Drakken plots to take over the world and a crazy love triangle is in the works. Check out VRCW's excellent work and find yourself asking, "what if?"

Requiem for a Dream - The Guardians of the Veil have broken up and gone their separate ways. Years later, Cornelia meets a strange girl who looks alot like Will. Little does she know that this girl and Will have alot more in common than looks. Meanwhile, the former guardians are having difficulty with their powers. Something is terribly wrong and they begin to lose control. It's only after Will meets this mysterious girl that things really take a turn for the worse. Susan Vandom has hidden a terrible secret from her daughter and that secret could very well destroy the guardians once and for all. How will they deal and can they survive? Sokai, you've done an excellent job!

I Won't Say I'm in Love - For everyone who loves the Riven/Musa pairing, here is a story that goes straight to the heart. Musa and Riven are having problems, as usual, and now their friends are doing everything in their power to bring them back together. But a wrench is thrown in their plans when Riven starts going out with another girl. How will Musa deal with this and will Riven ever realize his true feelings for her? Written by Kialajaray, this is a truly touching dedication to what appears to be the fans' favorite couple.

What Price Loyalty? - A W.I.T.C.H fic for all you Irma fans. Nerissa has a plan to take the Heart of Candracar and it involves kidnapping the Water Guardian. What follows is a series of excruciating torture sessions with Irma barely hanging on. Even after her friends rescue her, Irma will have to undergo a dangerous recuperation procedure if she has any hope of becoming the girl she once was. This story is dark, painful, sad, and incredible to read! Don't let the name fool you, Babywhale writes a story meant for the mature crowd. It's an emotional rollarcoaster that shows Irma like you've never seen her before. Nerissa is absolutley ruthless in her quest for universal dominaiton and Irma isn't the only guardian to feel her wrath. In fact, before this tale is through, all of Candracar will tremble before her. You must read this story.

Origin - Ever wonder how Phobos became the evil tyrant that would one day conquer all of Meridian? Here is his story, seen through the eyes of a prince who wanted nothing more than to feel accepted, but was cast to the side instead. He meets a shapeshifting boy whom he rescues from an angry mob and decides to keep him as a servant. They form a strange bond which eventually becomes a partnership in crime. As the birth of his baby sister looms, a child who will take his rightful place as heir to the throne, Phobos' future is threatened. After a terrible disaster, of which he had no intention of creating, destiny takes hold of his string and guides him down a path of darkness. Cedric, his loyal companion, ever at his side. Amidoh's tale of twisted fate and unusual circumstances brings new light to the fall of a powerful wizard. See how it all began.

The Former Guardians - Before Nerissa became evil, she was part of a group of extraordinary young women who became the first Guardians of the Veil. Here is their story, told in a time long before Phobos ever took over the throne of Meridian. Civil war is looming and the Queen of Meridian has been kidnapped by the forces of an evil wizard. Now it's up to Nerissa, Cassidy, Kadma, Halinor and Yan Lin to save the day. Red Rogue has taken it upon herself to tell the story everyone's been waiting to hear. These are the adventures you never heard about and the heroes whose stories have remained unsung...until now.

Waking Dreams - If there was ever a beginning to a great writer, Zadien has achieved it with this story. Cornelia has been having strange dreams. Those dreams become nightmares when she is attacked and kidnaped by a powerful fairy who has mysterious plans for her. Caleb, Will and the guardians must now tread a dangerous line that could lead to war between Queen Elyon and an ancient race of fairies. Steeped in Celtic mythology, Waking Dreams is an amazingly written tale on par with some of the best fantasy novels out there. I could almost not believe I was reading a fanfic story. It's intense and so full of divulging plotlines that your head will spin trying to keep up. If you seek storytelling at its finest, look no further.

Back to Kwitcherbeliakin - This story is a side fic that takes place in the "All Things Probable" Universe, created by Slyrr. After a series of battles with Team Possible, Grimm Probable and Rhonda Fatiguable return to the one place she hoped never to see again, Kamp Kwitcherbeliakin. There young Rhonda must come to terms with her destiny as priestess of the Bear Spirit and face a most dangerous foe who seeks to use the spirit's powers for evil. A sort of parody off Ron Stoppable's time at Camp Wannaweep, this story is based soley on the series' two main original charcters with Kim and Ron only making brief cameos. Grimm and Rhonda just speak to me in that they are the darker versions of Team Possible and yet still possess a perosnality all their own. I never cared as much for OC's as I do for these two. Great work, Slyrr.

KP: Resident Evil Apotheosis - Okay, if any of you have been paying attention, you know how I feel about crossovers. Up until now, I am Jedi, has been the only exception. Meet number two. When the Umbrella Corporation moves into Middleton and begins buying out the town, Kim and Ron begin an investigation. Meanwhile, hired Umbrella employee Vin Pellegrino, has just stumbled onto a new nightmare. A survivor of the Racoon City massacre, he is forced to live the experience once again when Albert Wesker releases a new virus...and something much worse. Dark. Bloody. Gory. I loved it! Ezbok58a seemlessly meshes the witty world of Kim Possible with the suvival horror of the Resident Evil series. I found myself on the edge of my seat with zombies around every corner. If you love horror or KP, I suggest you read this one.

I Sit by You and Spread My Wings: A Poem for Icy - As the title suggest, this is not a story by a poem. But a very good one at that. It was written by Aelfstangard who happens to be big fans of the cold-blooded head witch of the Trix Triplet. Many of their stories center around Icy and her sisters. Give them a shot when you can. This brother/sister team is really passionate about what they do and Wings is a touching homage to that wonderful witch we all love to hate.

Lost - Written by Akinyi, this oneshot is a touching tale with a surprise ending. As it opens we see Kim Possible mourning over the grave of her beloved husband who died on a misson gone totally wrong. But when the spirit of her greatest enemy returns to haunt her, Kim must come to terms with the truth that all may not be as it seems. I just loved the simplicity of this short story and the feeling behind it. It's a nice twist to a series known for happy endings.

Lips Like Morphine - Warning! This story is very sexually explicit...but that's what makes it such a great story. For all the great pairings in the KP universe, there aren't that many with Ron and Shego. Well look no further. This oneshot is actually the prequel to an entire series created by Beeftony. This tale will definitely make you blush, but only a great author can make you feel that way. Not for the kiddies or the faint of heart, so...what the hell! Read if you want. Just make sure your parents or younglings aren't around.

The Hautned Hall - A single chapter story about the Red Fountain boys who discuss whether or not the rumors that the infamous Warrior Hall is haunted. Riven doesn't believe any of it but agrees to accompany his friends if just to prove them wrong. But things don't turn out the way he expects. A short, brilliantly-written oneshot that happenst to be very funny. Fans of the Winx Club or Red Fountain Specialists should not pass this one up. Written by Jsi-Spitz.

A Coat is a Coat - Some things are more than just things. They are a representation of an individual or an idea that is so key to a character that it's hard to imagine him without it. In this oneshot, koolkame spotlights Caleb's trenchcoat. We see him wear it all the time and to the girls he's just not Caleb without it. It's very touching and like superman without his cape and batman without his cowl, Caleb just is not Caleb without his coat.

The Ronless Factor - Zaratan is one of the finest KP fanfiction writers. Here's another one to the list. Ron is killed during a car accident and Kim is crushed. But Ron isn't dead...at least not in a sense. His spirit lingers in the land of the living. As he tries to adapt to this new afterlife, he discovers that Bonnie Rockwaller is the only person who can see and hear him. The two form an unlikely partnership and discover that Ron's death was anything but an accident. Now Ron, Bonnie, and Kim must put an end to a madman's scheme before it costs the life another loved one. This is not a Ron/Bon story, but their fellowship made for one of the most entertaining and heart-warming fics I've read. It's so good, it was nominated for two Fannie awards!

The Uncanny Valley - A pre-Kim Possible fanfic. Drakken is hell-bent on revenge against the "friends" who laughed him straight out of college. He's devoted himself to building the bebe bots but to finish the project requires the aid of an assistant. Enter Shego. This story tells how they first met and how they made a promise to be partners in crime. Nothing epic, just a short story with a lot of heart. The best part of Ninnik's tale is the interaction between Dr. D and Shego; seriously, you could write an entire series based upon their antics. It's a wonderful prequel to the series and one I'm sure will recieve mentions in the next Fannies.

War for Meridian's Throne - A story in which I was a Beta and had the honor of reading before anyone else. This WITCH story takes place in an alternate storyline. On Meridian, a war is being waged between Queen Susan and Prince Phobos. The key to ending this war may lie in the discovery of Merdian's true heir, Will Vandom. She was kidnapped by enemy agents and forced to live in an abusive home. When she discovers, along with four new friends, that they are the new Guardians of the Veil, her whole life spins out of control. The story begins much in the same way as the series but soon branches off into new territory. Witty dialouge, exciting twists, and great fights scenes, XV-Dragon has completed a fine work of ficton and one of the best stories I've ever read.

Advice

1. Plan Ahead! None is this more evident than for large works. A oneshot you can bang out in an evening or lazy afternoon, but big stories require time, dedication and careful planning. You don't want to write twenty chapters and then stop saying, "I don't know what to do now." Then you leave it alone for a year and people forget what the story was all about, yourself included and wind up asking what point is there in going back. Plan, my friend. Addition: On the other hand, do not spend all your time writing out chapter plots and character bios because you'll never get around to the story. Just develop enough so that you have a script to follow, but not to the point where it becomes so rigid that you don't have liberty to explore different scenarios. Find a balance, okay?

2. Write because you want to. This is probably the most important advice I can give you. Writers are the scholars of the universe. The retainers of history and culture. Their role is often overlooked in history in favor of the warriors, architects and athleletes. But without writers, who would remember these men and women? You have a gift and it should be treated like one.

3. It's your story. Write it the way you want to. Even if reviews tell you otherwise you are in control here. It's called FANFICTION for a reason.

4. NO flames! What makes you or I or anyone else the perfect writer? Who are we to judge the works of others? If you give a review, be honest but professional. If it's good, don't just say so, tell the author why it's good. If it's bad, be nice and say what you think can be improved. But don't say, "it sucks!" There is NO better way to alienate oneself.

5. Check your grammer. We don't all speak or write well in English but there is no excuse for excessive grammatical errors. Know someone who speaks good English? Ask him/her for help. Ask us. This is a community. Addition: Having trouble with grammar? Try to find a beta. A beta is someone who will proofread your story before you post it on the site. Try to find someone who reads and writes well...who has preferably little to no mistakes in their stories. Ask them to give you seroius comments and learn from them. That way, you'll improve your writing abitlity much faster.

6. Patience! Sometimes it takes time for a story to develop. If you find yourself stuck in a rut from writing your work, take a break. Who says you have to post it today/tonight? Wait until next week or the week after that. Write and rewrite your story as many times as you can until it is the way you want it to be. Great work takes time.

7. Reply. When someone offers you a review, take the time to hit the reply button to thank them for taking the time to read your story. It helps build a fanbase and possibly a friendship.

8. Summary please! I know we're not all good in this respect but please...try! It took you three weeks to write a single chapter but you can't take a few mintues to develop a summary for your story? "Bad things happen," is NOT a summary. "Summary inside." Why not outside? Just a brief introduction to the story. Why should I take the time to read your story when you won't take the time to tell me what it's about?

9. Review. Sometimes we just skim over a story and don't really read it. I've done it myself. But if you HAVE read the chapter from top to bottom, the least you can do, even if you did not like it, is review it. It's just courtesy.

10. I WANT REVIEWS! We all do, don't push it. Nobody likes a whiner. People complain that they don't get reviews and threaten to take their story down until they do. Oh boy! This is it, folks! The entire site is crashing down because somebody is about to take down his/her story. Here's some advice, if you take your story down, the site will live on. Don't think that people are going to come begging for your good will because you threaten to remove your story. Here's some news: if you're getting four to five reviews per chapter, that's great! Stop complaining. Additon: For those of you who want "detailed" reviews (i.e. wanting the reviewer to tell you exaclty what he or she liked or hated about the story) listen up. Not everyone is going to write out a long-winded review for each of your chapters. Once in a while I might say, "great chapter", or "I love how this story is progressing". But don't expect myself or any other writer to create a full-blown summary for what we thought of the chapter. We could be tired, eager to move on, or we've already said everything we can about your story in previous reviews. Give your readers a break! Addition: Peaple...stop begging for reviews! It's very immature and makes you sound desperate. Granted you may ask for reviews or state that they would be welcomed (and why wouldn't they?), but enough with the "Please review! I'll be your best friend! Review my story please!" A thousand people will hit your story, only a handful will review it. And, this must be said, if you have a lot of chapters and very few reviews, then a) either people are not intersted in reading it b) the story is unoriginal and has been explored a thousand times c) has so many errors or is in such disarray that it hurts just to look at it (in this case check out Advice #5) or d) you just haven't built up a strong enough fan base. Also, if people feel pushed it may deter them from reviewing in the first place. Just concentrate on your story and leave the rest to fate.

11. ERROR. Sometimes the site has problems and you can't upload a document. Take it easy, this happens. I get frustrated too but it's best to wait. Remember, thousands of writer are here everyday. That's a lot of pressure.

12. Stick to your strengths. If you're not good at mystery stories, don't write them. But you're kickass in action tales, well go ahead! Love, horror, adventure, fantasy; do what you're good at. You'll only get stuck doing something you're not familiar with.

13. Dialouge. Any good story has good dialouge. It also helps to spread out your work. It's very daunting to read ten paragraphs with six to eight sentences one after the other. Add some dialouge and it'll be easier on the eyes and it'll make the story go smoother.

14. Life gets in the way. It happens. School, work, death in the family; we get it. You DO NOT have to explain yourself to your fans.

15. Enjoy yourself. This is a great opportunity for us to be ourselves. Like the motto of the site says, "unleash your imagination."

16. Try to spread out your interests a little bit. Writing for two or more different series, books, games, etc. can really help you fight writers' block.

17. Learn from the best. There are some really established fanfic writers here and each of them has gained an avid fan base that loves their stories. Mabye you're one of them. If you like someone's writing style and it's akin to yours, learn what makes them so good. Don't imitate them, for each of us is unique in how we write, but it helps to study the masters.

18. Try to be original. I know it's very difficult in this day and age where most everything has been tried out at least once. But if you see a premise that has been used over and over again, try to write something a little different. At least you can try to put a new spin on an old idea. Look at your favorite sites and you'll see so many of them use the same concept. It kind of kills creativity. Just use your imagination and go nuts...while trying to remain true to the canon.

19. Don't beat around the bush. This is taken from my personal experience. If you have a great story concept then begin working on it immediatly. Don't try to save the best for last because you'll only end up frustrated in the end. If you like working on several projects at once, that's fine. But get your best one out of the drawing board and onto the assmebly line as soon as possible. A major consequence about letting a great idea pass by for too long is that the story never gets made and you're left wondering "what if?"

20. For Betas. When the person you're editing the story for sends you the work, do yourself the common courtesy of replying back to said writer and letting him/her know you got it. There's nothing more frustrating than wondering if your beta recieved the work you sent them. It's just class, people. Send the writer a reply to let him/her know you have the latest chapter so that the writer isn't left wondering if it got through or not. Addition: It would also be nice if you gave updates every now and then. Just let your writer know that you haven't forgotten his/her story by sending them a PM once in a while, letting them know that you're working on the project and a general idea of how far you've gotten. Don't necessarily inhibit yourself to a certain time, just don't leave your writer hanging too long.

That's all for now.

The following advice is from a fellow writer named strayphoenix. I consider her input very valuable and a must for all new writers. Check her out at:

penname: strayphoenix
profile: http://www.fanfiction.net/u/791477/

1. The reviews you recieve not only depend on your writing skills, but also on your fanbase. It depends on the number of stories written for the fanbase and the number of writers that write for it. My average number of reviews per chapter for an X-Men story was 10 but when I began writing for WITCH my average was 6 or 7. I have a friend who writes for Harry Potter and was all upset because she got only 3 reviews for one chapter and I had him look at the directory: there are currently 294,779 stories under HP, the largest fanbase on this site. Readers and writers have probably seen everything there is to be done so if you REALLY want to write for HP, you REALLY have to wow them.

2. Drabbles are a great way to release writers block (which is what I'm currently doing with my season 2 side-stories).

3. DO NOT SKIM THROUGHT THE RULES. At least, for your first story, read all the Guidelines carefully. It would suck to have your first story deleted and your account locked because you didn't follow the rules. Even though they haven't updated them in a while, check the read update date for every new story.

4. As you've said already, you control the story. When you update, how you change it, etc. is all up to you. Your reviewers have no right to be harassing you about updates or continuations.
