Reading some of Naruto II, I finally understand why I hate Kakashi with a passion. Sakura, I am actually starting to like a little with Naruto II. Do I think she sees him as anything more then a friend, I doubt it. So I may be a little harsh on her when I portray her in stories set before the time skip.
People want to say Sakura is starting to show some affection towards Naruto now, but what did it take? Her former crush running off and leaving her on a bench. Her hearing Naruto's story? If anything this should show how much she does NOT deserve him. She is nothing but a superficial girl, then she wants to take pity on Naruto. I hate to say it but yes, that is what it seems like to me. One of the funniest things though is how she calls him a Masochist in the Wave Arc. He would have to be to even like her, with all the punches he gets to the head and all.
For Kakashi, he never tried to teach his other students anything during the Manga. I have yet to see much of the Anime, but in the Manga the only thing you could say he taught Sakura and Naruto is Tree climbing in Naruto I. Finally in Naruto II he gets to teaching Naruto Nature Manipulation, which he taught Sasuke I'm guessing for the Chidori. This is only because of the people after Naruto mind you, not because he is a caring Sensei, who wants his student to learn something. I'd have to say Yamato was a better Sensei in his shot stint then Kakashi has been in his time. Granted Kakashi did bring fruits and what not, but he couldn't have his student dieing on him now could he?
Thoughts on Stories:
I tend to lean more towards stories where it seems like the writers have their acts together. Sometimes preplanned, or at least thought out enough to where the author does not need to pull a vote for what to happen next. If it was maybe late in the story, I might be able to understand it, but basing an entire story on the outcome of a vote just seems like a waste of time.
I like stories that tend to be long and detailed, ones that can pull you into the story, and make you feel a part of it. Often times the longest stories tend to be the best, and I don't just mean by the number of chapters, but the Words Per Chapter. There are some things that can be done in a single chapter, and not broken into 3 smaller chapters.
Life of Uzumaki Naruto:
Updated/Complete, 03/29/07 http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2890377/12/
Sequel will be in the wokrs, but chapters may end up being shorter then what they were in this story.
Altered Destiny:
This will be my main focus for now.
UPDATE 03/29/07
Life of Uzumaki Naruto has been updated, and the first portion of the story is complete. I am now moving on to the Genin years, and moving forward with more action soon. This should also give me a chance to hopefully get ahead of myself instead of writing as I go.
I am going to be working on Altered Destiny's newest chapter. I will be heading into the Chunin exams soon, and introducing the Sand Sibs and Anko's Sensei after the Kyubi incident. We can't forget about the other Genin though and their reactions to the news of Team 10's mission to wave.Rin will be coming into the picutre soon as well.
As they return to the Hidden Leaf Village, Naruto gets an unwanted surprise as he walks into the gates of Konoha.
