Author has written 57 stories for Inuyasha, Fruits Basket, Wolf's Rain, Loveless, Kannazuki no Miko, Solitaire, and Avatar: Last Airbender. So, one day I realized something. Inuyasha fandom and I have amazing chemistry. When we get in on, the earth moves, baby. But, I don't actually like him. Oh, sure, it's "Baby, baby, one more drabble, just for tonight," but then I wake up the next morning and think, "What the hell am I doing here?" And I'm torn, because I know he's sexy. When he brings the medieval angst, you know I like it. But then I remember all the focus on his stupid sword, and the plotlines that teased but never quite satisfied, and I know I can do better. There are fandoms I like more, intellectually. Fandoms whose canons I love to pieces, fandoms who intellectually stimulate me, fandom I can stay up talking all night with. But the passion's just lacking in the word processor. We start getting all hot and heavy, I write a few hundred words, and, you know what? This just isn't working. I call it "Writus Interruptus." And it's sad, because I really love some of these fandoms, and we could be very happy together. We hold hands in public, and don't tell anyone about our problems in the word processor, but then a few nights later, I'm crawling back in Open Office with Inuyasha fandom, getting it hard and rough. And in the morning, I regret it. But I know I'll do it again. Sob. Things of Interest about Aiffe: 1) I support racebending.com! (Yes, I'm in the Avatar fandom. Shaddup. I have like two stories for it and some pictures, but it counts.) Hollywood, get your racism out of one of my favorite shows ever! 2) I don't reply to reviews. This isn't because I'm rude (although sometimes I'm that too :/) or snobby or because I just get soooo mobbed with reviews, but simply a different kind of etiquette. I think it can make a reviewer self-conscious to imagine the writer anxiously refreshing their email for feedback, and then get a direct response as to how their review made that person feel. I want people to feel free to say whatever they want, like leaving anonymous notes in an unattended box. (Sometimes I reply to review-comments on LJ because I hear it's the nice thing to do, but eh, it feels weird.) The other reason is that while I, like most people, enjoy praise, I never know what to say to it other than "Thanks!" and that starts feeling redundant real fast. Once in a while I have something to say so I say it, but most of the time, assume my silence means I read and appreciated it, regardless of the content. If you want a reply to something, send me a PM or an email! IMs are cool too. Oh, and if I seem to be ignoring you, that's not me being deliberately rude, since I clearly have no compunction about doing that in less ambiguous ways, but rather me being an enormous flake. Don't feel bad about smacking me on the head with a clue-hammer sometimes, because I need it. You needn't think I'm subtly snubbing you. Subtlety is something I'm hardly capable of. 3) At this time, I am not taking requests. This is because my muse has a mind of her own, and I more just get dragged behind. It would be nice to be able to write whatever I wanted! Then I could finish all those dangling projects instead of--ooh, shiny! 4) I don't care if LJ has a reputation as a pit of emo and wank and bad poetry and underage slash, I'm an LJer and proud.
