Last Updated September 1, 2007.
(Hopefully this will remind me to update more often.)

I love fanfiction. That's why I got this account. But... as you can see, I haven't gotten any fanfics written. It'll probably stay like that. But hopefully not. I actually am trying.

I discovered Artemis Fowl in September of 2002, and fanfiction six months later. That means I've been around the fandom for quite a while. I still remember the days when the Artemis Fowl fandom had 300 fics...

The nickname "Gussiki" (or "Gussuki") comes from members of the Crim forums, who insist it sounds like an item on a Chinese take-out menu. I (still) disagree, insisting that it sounds more Japanese than anything.

A little sidenote: My favourites list is outdated.

My Involvement in the Fandom

(Which you may or may not be aware of.)

Criminality
I support the Criminality archive an archive that screens fanfiction. That means only high quality fanfiction makes it onto the site. So there won't be any horrible fanfics there. They also run monthly challenges, so take a look.

Crim's recently been moved over to a new server, the same as the one Orion's running on. It's part of the Crim-Orion merger. After all, both sites share the same goals.

The Orion Awards
Ah, the Orion Awards. You might have heard of them from other people. Anyway, the Orion Awards honours and recognizes high quality fanfiction. Fanfics are nominated (nominations are closed right now) and go through a Judging and shortlisting process, before being honoured as the winner of its category.

I'm basically the web/forum admin guy. The guy who makes sure nothing breaks. I update and maintain the site and forums. (No, this doesn't mean you can blame server outages on me.)

At the Orion Awards, we're looking for Judges. If you like fanfiction and want to help with the Orions, please contact TheWhiteLily.

I'm also a staff member of the C2 Group for the Orion Awards.

The Twelve Labours of Heracles
The Twelve Labours of Heracles (12LH) is a fanfiction challenge run by the people at Criminality. The goals of it are to stretch your fanfiction skills be exploring and writing new material. More information can be found here.

The Observatory
The Observatory is a monthly fanzine run mostly by the same people who run the Orions. So I write for it.

I write about the site news, and I'm part of two columns. Ask Fowl is one of those columns where you send in questions and they'll be answered. I'm on the question-answering-panel, along with Annoying Schizoid (known as L.A.B. Salita on FF.net) and Brightness.

The other column is Crack the Eternity Code, a sort of cryptography challenge. Instead of just using the standard codes in the books (Gnommish, Centaurean, and the unnamed "Eternian"), I'll be encrypting the message with some other method.

Another job I occasionally take is the HTMLing and the creation of the zine layout. Huge task and tiring. :P But the work's spread out, so I don't do it all by myself.

If you're interested in helping with the Observatory, you can contact our executive editor, Eterah

Other Stuff
Under this category goes the many other things I'm into.

I'm a staff member of the C2 Group Quality Artemis Fowl Fanfiction. It was inspired by Crim, and so it's a little archive of - you guessed it - quality fanfiction. It's run by Boussole.

The Artemis Fowl Confidential, a really cool fansite. But it's the forums that I'm "associated" with. I've been around there for almost two years, and am now a moderator.

I do betaing for a couple of writers here. I betaed a fic or two for Nallasariel the Weeper before she left the fandom. More recently, though, I beta for The White Lily and The Humble Mosquito.

I've finally finished programming a game based on the first chapter of Artemis Fowl. It's one of those text-based adventure games. Many thanks to The White Lily and all the other beta testers. For more information, see here. And Part Two has finally arrived! See here.

I guess that's it. (I'm surprised you've read through all my advertisements.)
