| Kawaii Chibi Shun |
Author has written 8 stories for Naruto, Pirates of the Caribbean, Harry Potter, and D.Gray-Man. Name: Kawaii Chibi Shun (I will also answer to Liara Shadowsong, which is my handle on such sites as LiveJournal and DeviantArt.) Gender: Female Age: Um... old enough to vote (and drink, I suppose), but still under thirty? Occupation: Graduate student somewhere in the United States of America. I'm in the second year of the program, but it'll still be a while before I finish my degree. And ... that's all the personal information you're getting from my profile, folks, sorry. I've been reading on this site for quite a few years, but just started writing about three or four years ago. Long story. I can't promise you professional-grade writing, but I will do my best to make my work enjoyable to read. Your opinions on my writing, especially any constructive criticism, are very much appreciated, though I'd appreciate not receiving non-constructive flame reviews (if you feel the need to say my fic sucks, tell me why and how to improve, please). Feel free to drop me a PM any time (or an email if you'd prefer, just copy and paste my username, remove the spaces, and add @ aim .com to the end, although if you send an email please put something in the subject line to indicate it isn't spam, like fanfiction .net, or ffn, or fanfic, or dear shun-chan, or dear liara, something like that to indicate it's in regards to a website I belong to and not some silly scam I should delete unopened). Being a student, my updates on chaptered stories are sporadic at best, so don't be alarmed if something doesn't have an update for months on end. Just story alert it, and feel free to drop me a line by PM or email if you're really curious, okay? Please note that my two D.Gray-Man stories, "Fourteen" and "Wish", are a two-part series. There likely will not be a third part, but I make no guarantees. I strongly suggest reading "Fourteen" first, as it is earlier chronologically, and is also a better piece of writing in my personal opinion. Seriously, I won't be the least bit offended if you like "Fourteen" and dislike "Wish". Actually, I wouldn't be offended if you dislike both, as long as any reviews you might leave actually explain what you find unappealing and not just ranting for the heck of it. My only 'in-progress' story on this site at the moment is "Fox's Wings". It is a Naruto fanfic, and is the multi-chapter sequel to my first posted story, "Fox Angel". Also taking place earlier in the same loosely-defined series (it definitely stands alone and is not a formal prequel) is my finished story "Sea Serpent". The thing is, I really don't know if I can keep writing this fanfiction. I have fairly detailed plans of what will happen next, but I haven't felt inspired to write anything Naruto for ages (it's been over a year since I've even tried to keep up with the manga). For now, this story is on hiatus, possibly to be discontinued eventually. If I do discontinue it, I will leave what currently exists up, so anyone who likes it can still find it (and in case I get re-inspired down the road, I can pick it back up at that time). Frankly, though, I think I need to work on some other projects as I have the time to devote to them, because trying to focus on this one right now is going nowhere fast. I've also been debating for a while as to whether or not I should change my pen-name. Kawaii Chibi Shun is a homage to my favorite character in Saint Seiya, one of the series that first sparked my interest in manga and anime (which, current varied interests aside, is how I originally got into fanfic), and is the name I've used since first anonymously reviewing fanfiction back in high school. However, throughout most of the internet, I use the pseudonym Liara-Shadowsong, or some derivative of it. Perhaps it's time for my name here to reflect that I'm not quite the teenage girl who first found FanFiction.net those years ago... And my current icon? Drawn by yours truly. It's an icon I originally created for LiveJournal - the L.S. signature in the corner is for my username there, LiaraShadowsong. It's loosely modeled after my avatar on GaiaOnline. And, no, I don't have purple hair in real life, only on the internet. Eventually, you'll be able to see more artwork I've made on my deviantART account. It has only a handful of pieces right now since I have few that are both complete and actually scanned, but if you check back at http://Liara-Shadowsong.deviantart.com in the future, you should be able to see some art for the Fox Angel series (assuming I continue it), as well as a few other projects I want to someday write (there's this Legend of Zelda plotbunny that's been gnawing viciously on my brain since I played Twilight Princess the first time, like, two years ago... and I've put up a few pictures related to it). Additionally, my previously mentioned LiveJournal account has a little bit of writing and some plot ideas on it, mostly to do with comics and containing characters from multiple titles by the same publisher (because it is a lot easier to say "alternate DC-verse, main characters Bruce Wayne and Kal-El, set in a universe where Krypton didn't blow up and both are members of the Green Lantern Corps" and link to an appropriate community than it is to figure out whether to list as Justice League, Superman and Batman crossover, Superman/Batman and Green Lantern crossover, etc.). I have plans in the works for a fairly expansive alternate universe, which would be pretty wide in general scope (assuming I ever get this thing off the ground) but made up of smaller stand-alone arcs mostly about specific groups of characters (mostly along the sorts of divisions as an actual comic title). There's a journal entry outlining the premise on LJ, but it basically boils down to swapping the sexes of about a third to a half of the DC characters, and seeing what happens from there (I'll be honest: I'm really looking forward to writing Tim Drake as a woman; her name is Thea, short for Timothea, and she is adorably terrifying, like a cross between a Pomeranian and something horribly venomous, or that rabbit in Monty Python). When this does get in the works properly, I'm not sure whether or not all of it will be cross-posted here; what will probably happen is I will archive everything on both LiveJournal and Archive of Our Own, but only the most stand-alone parts here with links on my profile to the rest of the universe, and all illustrations on DeviantArt. ...I really hope this project doesn't crash and burn. Or keep getting delayed because of endless exams. Thank you for taking the time to read my profile! | |||||||
