Author has written 354 stories for Dragon Ball Z, Bible, Inuyasha, Rurouni Kenshin, G-Gundam, Fire Emblem, Tales of Symphonia, Star Wars, Fushigi Yuugi, Ranma, Pokémon, Rose of Versailles, Ouran High School Host Club, Warcraft, Gilmore Girls, Road to Avonlea, Kaze Hikaru, and Harry Potter.

All of my fanfiction from 2005 or so onward is crossposted to SwayingtheFlame@Livejournal.com, and RescueMission@Dreamwidth.org, posted under the pennames of Hooves and Lyndis respectively.

Here's a handy guide to anyone venturing forth into my rather enormous collection of fanfiction:

Pre-2005: I had never written before. I had--and this is putting it generously-- a basic grasp on grammar and where to put periods.
2005-2007: My writing improved a little bit, here, but I still only had a basic grasp of things.
2007-2009: A lot of improvement occurred in these years, as I learned a bit more of grammar and punctuation thanks to some lovely critique.
2010: I'm ever-improving. At least, I'd like to believe that. These stories are going to be the most up-to-date as far as my writing style goes.
2011: I didn't get much writing done in 2011 compared to my usual turnaround, so anything written with a long gap of time between it and another piece might read slightly disjointed due to me being out of practice.
2012, currently: I've learned a bit more about writing via doing a little more reading; I'm still out of practice but I do hope to continue to improve. Critique is always welcome!

I write about relationships a lot. I enjoy character dynamics, and I'm forever making an attempt to write a story that "speaks" to my reader(s). If a story makes you laugh or cry or feel along with the characters, then I have done my job. Of course, I won't know if I succeed or not unless you tell me, but I still hope that I have affected people in positive ways with my stories. I also work hard to write things that are believable.

I love realism. I try to write my characters as if they were fellow human beings instead of fictional characters. This doesn't mean everything I write is depressing. On the contrary, I do write a lot of happy things. In the end, realism is something I do to help my readers feel more involved in the story. If you can't believe what you're reading, it will have much less of an effect on you.

My strength is, I think, in dealing with writing a character as realistically as I can manage, so I do best with one-shots, as longer stories tend to require a lot more attention to detail, and introspection can bog down a long story the way I tend to write it. Little kids are fun to write, and so are "every day" details. So then, my weakness in writing sits with chaptered stories, action scenes, making stories over-emotional/perhaps emotional-dependent, and using too many unimportant details.

When I pick a favorite character or two, or a favorite pairing, I tend to use it a lot in my stories. Some pairings are "OTPs" and because of this, I do refuse to read a story in which one or both parties involved are in a relationship with someone else. (See the bottom of my profile for my current OTPs.)

While I wish I wrote firmly and most importantly for myself, I can't say that I do. I write because a story needs told, or because I have a fun idea that I'd like to share. "Wouldn't it be cool if X happened to Y and Z?" is all well and good to say to someone, and they may share in your excitement, but to actually be able to read the idea as a story is infinitely better. I welcome reviews, from, "I liked it" to heavy critique to, well, anything, really. I've no qualms with receiving feedback on my writing, good or bad. In fact, I appreciate my reviews because I know that reading itself can be time-consuming, and the fact that you stopped to type out a comment is an honor to me as an author.

"It's just fanfiction", yes, but you'd be surprised how much you can inspire an amateur writer with a little comment, even one as simple as saying you liked what you read.

Currently, I'm goofing off in various fandoms, most notably Harry Potter (the fandom I swore I'd never touch with a ten-foot pole) and Fire Emblem. I tend to circle back to things, including fandoms, though Fire Emblem is now a very long-time love for me, so I doubt I'll ever really leave it. I do have a long-standing romance with Rose of Versailles.

Upcoming Projects--
I usually have ideas, and even when I'm suffering from a lack of motivation, the ideas just keep piling up. In the queue: A few requests from friends in the Fire Emblem fandom, and a plethora of Harry Potter (Tonks/Remus-centric) stories. I have written a rather long headcanon dump concerning Remus, but I'm afraid it doesn't read very well and it's terrible storytelling, so I doubt it ever gets posted. However, plenty of other 'fics are in the making, mostly via notebook paper, but we'll see what I can do when I get out of this writing slump and over the fear of posting for such a big fandom.

Lastly, thank you all for your comments and criticism, and your continued support over the years. I'll never be an eloquent enough writer to express in words how much I appreciate all of you.
