Author has written 40 stories for Sailor Moon, Inuyasha, Twilight, Howl's Moving Castle, Breakfast Club, Star Wars, Kyle XY, Harry Potter, Psych, CSI: New York, Card Captor Sakura, Shelter, Stargate: Atlantis, and A Walk to Remember. W.I.S.E I'm a member at Aria's Ink, a Sailor Moon fanfiction archive, and lately, we've been very concerned over the declining state of the SM fandom (all fandom, actually) and writing in general. So, over the past few days, a lot of dedicated members helped to develop W.I.S.E., a program to help restore the Sailor Moon fandom to its former glory. W.I.S.E. stands for 'Writing to Improve Standards of Excellence', and its aims are to improve fanfiction writing by encouraging authors through honest critiques. By critiquing honestly, writers are better able to learn from their mistakes and grow in their writing. W.I.S.E. isn't just about getting reviews, it's also about establishing a connection between authors and readers. Authors can help the critiquing process by leaving discussion questions such as "Are there any particular phrases, images or scenes that stand out and linger?" or "Does the beginning invite you into the story and pique your interest?" By opening a dialogue with your readers, you'll get better feedback and learn more about your readers than saying "Read and review!" at the end of each update. What is WISE? WISE stands for 'Writing to Improve Standards of Excellence' and represents authors and readers who want to improve writing standards in fanfiction. Through writing or reviewing, WISE members strive to help out one another through honest critiques and unique storylines to bring up slowly declining standards rampant in fanfiction today. To be a member, you should write extraordinary stories and/or review stories honestly pointing out their good and bad aspects with the intention of helping the author grow as a writer.
