The universe without music would be madness
-Fortune Cookie

Last Profile update: 8/10/07: Time is unattainable... I leave Sunday for band camp for a week, then performances every other day for a week, then school starts... and there's homework and college crap to deal with, so everything is on hold until further notice.

I am also considering posting the plot of one of my essays from my Writing Workshop class; it is based on a song I play in band. Hopefully I will get the chance to post more creative stories, although some may end up on FictionPress instead of here (my user name is the same there).

Stories:
"BAND" the Musical: Marching band to the extreme! Lyrics set to the songs of RENT (Long live Jonathan Larson's amazing work!). I suggest listening to the music while reading, it really helps. COMPLETE!!!

Before the Comet: One Shot. A short story about the world before the comet came and Aang was frozen in the iceberg. My first shot at using an outside character. Was going to be a story, but, wouldn't you know it, a few days after I wrote it, the Avatar writers put a new episode out (The Storm) and it competely messed up my plot (I was going to explain everything they ended up explaining in that episode).

Boredom at the Burrow: (On Hold) Um...I was struck by random silliness one day and I had some fun with the Harry Potter characters. Nonsensical if you like that kind of thing. Haven't updated because I haven't really been that hyper since I first wrote that, so...

Chronologies of Koh the Face Stealer: (On Hold) Based on the faces stolen by Koh (featured in the season finale of Avatar: the Last Airbender) (who is also my favorite character). A series of short stories. I may interlink them, but I have not decided yet.

Harry Potter and the Last Riddle: (On Hold), will possibly be deleted due to the publishing of the 7th book in a few months Continued after HBP, 7th year at Hogwarts, picks up in what would be the middle of the 7th book. Still developing plot, so it will seem slow, but stick with me, I have big aims for this one!

Kids in Band: My second bandfic based off the musical "Guys and Dolls". If any of you have seen the musical, you know it's pretty funny, and I'm hoping that this will turn out just as good, if not better! You can still read, even if you don't know it, it just makes better sense if you know the show. Again, listen to the music while reading if you can.

Ways to tell if you're a band geek:
1. You love setting up "band couples", are part of a "band couple", or like someone in the band
2. Your day is ruined when you can't get the music or you don't have band that day
3. Your band director somehow knows everything about you (like if you start another instrument, or if you like someone in the band)
4. Your favorite class is band, or extra-curricular activity is some form of band
5. One of your main topics of gossip is band
6. You exclude other people because of their lack of band experience
7. You recruit your friends to play new instruments so they can join band
8. You never stop making fun of people because of band camp incidents
9. You get angry when your friends miss band, and you cry when band is done for the season or if you fail to make a leadership rank
10. You get other section members to help you gang up on said band members who miss band for a pre-first period yelling fit and lecture on the importance of not missing band.
11. You have multiple classes in the band room in one day
12. You become distressed when you find that your friend is unable to fit band into their busy schedule, or it makes your day when said friend is able to put band back in after taking summer gym and driver's ed.
13. You choose music as your career of choice
14. You can count to 4 perfectly, but after that, you're not really sure
15. You can alphabetize up to G, but not after that, or you are confused as to why the dictionary doesn't go Ab, A, A#...
16. Probably the first place, or the place you most often will drive to is some form of a field for band practice.
17. The most amusing conversations of the day are in the band room.
18. Your siblings ask you for help with music
19. You shun your non-musical siblings
20. You measure things in yards, only because you can march the distance of 5 yards in 8 steps
21. You become irritated when someone who is worse than you tries to play a higher part than you or tries to sit higher in the seating
22. At least 15 of the above applied to you

Much love, peace out!
