Author has written 15 stories for Bleach. Introduction: Hello! (waves) I'm AngelCat HellFire, but most of my friends on the sites I frequent know me as EternalDream! I frequent these sites most often: Five Lifetimes One Love (FLOL), FictionPress (FP), Bleach Exile (BE) and Bleach Asylum (BA). I'm also Aoibheal on Karen Marie Moning's (and J.R. Ward's) message board(s). She's a wonderful authoress, a great inspiration, and I would recommend her to anyone who likes a good romance novel with steamy scenes and lots of amazing PLOT. Christine Feehan, Anne Bishop, and Kresley Cole are also others I highly recommend! I don't. Some of them I don't mind, per say (like IchiRuki: LOVE them as best friends), but all of them I don't care for in a romantic sense, and the individual characters are awesome in their respective series. Also, if I were asked to read any of these pairings per request of a friend, or even (shudders) to write a one-shot or something, I would do it...but only because I love my friends that much. It's just definitely something I wouldn't do on my own. Bleach: Ichigo/Rukia, Ishida/Orihime, Kaien/Rukia, Ulquiorra/Orihime (Honestly, it's the fans that turned me off of each of those, with the exception of Kaien/Rukia, which I just don't support because Kaien loved his wife so much that he was willing to die for her honor. For the others, had I remained in my own little Kelly World and stayed away from the online fandom, I probably would have really liked all of them. I even used to adore UlquiHime...until the fandom went batshit and turned into the next spite!ship for (a good portion of) IchiRuki fans when IshiHime wasn't getting any love. Then the fandom REALLY went crazy during and towards the end of the Seven Deadly Sins battle. Yeeaahh...I was completely done with UlquiHime after seeing that kind of wanky bullshit.) InuYasha: Sesshomaru/Sango, InuYasha/Kikyou (There's something about Sess/San that rubs me the wrong way, and I just flat out hated Kikyou. I understood and pitied her, and she made for a great anti-hero in the series, but I really did not like her, especially when it came to how she treated Kagome. The fact that she "died" and came back so many freaking times did nothing to salvage whatever good opinion I might have had of her, either.) Yu-Gi-Oh: Yugi/Anzu, Atem/Anzu (I just honestly didn't like Anzu that much. I preferred Shizuka, and it was such a shame that she was hardly featured in the manga.) Naruto: Sasuke/Sakura, Naruto/Sakura (Yes, for the above, I would prefer it if Sakura didn't get with EITHER man--Lee needs her more then them IMO, and his enthusiasm is so cute. I used to really believe it would be Naruto/Hinata and Sasuke/Sakura, but I'll actually be happy if it ends up Naruto/Sakura because then my Sasuke/Hinata ship has more potential to actually happen! XD) Harry Potter: Draco/Ginny (Maybe it's because I became such a hardcore Draco/Hermoine fan, but there's something about this ship that rubs me the wrong way.) Final Fantasy: Cloud/Aerith (I admit, most of my dislike comes from years of listening to my sister rant and rave about this ship, but honestly, Cloud liked Tifa when they were children, and Aerith had Zack. And now, Zack and Aerith are together again in death, which I find to be very romantic. Hopefully Cloud will come to his senses before Tifa gets fed up with him and moves on.) Xenosaga: Kevin/Shion (I just hated Kevin, period. I disliked him so much that I was pissed off that he got a relatively happy/peaceful ending. UGH. Allen was my HERO in Xenosaga III when he told Kevin off like none other--after the peice of shit beat him half to death--and won Shion's heart and support. You go Allen!) Fanfiction Dislikes: 1) Incest 2) Beastiality 3) Redundant, over-used, and terribly cliched plotlines. (LEARN HOW TO BE CREATIVE PEOPLE!) 4) People who steal other people's hard work because they SUCK at writing and have no moral decency. 5) People who flame for no apparent reason. Seriously, grow the fuck up, or you'll stay a failure the rest of your life. 6) People who say they won't continue their story if they don't receive X amount of reviews. If you're writing solely for reviews, then 1) you're doing it wrong, and 2) you sound like a snooty little BITCH. Reviews are a gift. Nobody is ever obligated to leave a review, and I've seen so many amazing stories that doesn't even have the amount of reviews they deserve (and on the opposite side of the spectrum, I've seen far too many stories with more reviews then they deserves given how craptastic the writing and plots are) and I have yet to see any of THOSE authors complaining. (v_v) FanFictions: Incomplete: 1) Known Secrets of an Unusual Kind (IT WILL BE FINISHED, I JUST DON'T KNOW WHEN; all the chapters are outlined) 2) Kyuuketsuki (next few chapters and plot details in the works) 3) Otherside (paranormal IchiHime fic with various creatures/species; side-project until Kyuuketsuki is done) Complete: 1) That One Special Present 2) Red Bottle, Blue Bottle (Whoohoo! Been writing for a couple of years on FictionPress (under the name EternalDream) and I desperately need to finish the longest work of fiction I've ever "published" on the net, currently 19 chapters. (insert a sweatdrop) I've always loved to read, but I began reading romance novels when I was 11 or 12...which I admit, I really shouldn't have. Oh man, I remember how ticked my sister was (she was 15 at the time) when she found me reading one of the ones she'd borrowed from a friend! XD I learned a lot while reading them, and it was about the same time we got a computer. I began reading InuYasha fanfiction when I was 12/13-ish, and looking back on the stuff I read (not knowing what exactly some of those things were at the time...and I'm talking BAD things kids should not have access too...) I can only shake my head and wonder how I didn't come out abnormally or something. o_O;; Anywho, I was obsessed with InuYasha and to a lesser extent Yu-Gi-Oh fanfiction, until I moved onto Harry Potter for a long, long time. After that came Naruto. I still read Naruto stories, only now instead of the usual Hinata/whoever stories, it's almost always Naruto/Sasuke stories. XDD Only once did I ever attempt to write a fanfiction, and it was for Yu-Gi-Oh. I can't remember the plot at all, but I know the main characters were going to be Shizuka and 3 OCs I made up myself. I published it for a day before taking it down. I never dared to try writing another fanfiction, because I knew that my characters would be horribly OOC, and by that time, I was starting to become picky about the quality and plot of the stories I read. Then I got into Bleach. It was the first fandom I ever really got into online, outside of looking up pictures of Deviant Art and watching vids on YouTube. I started out reading Ulquiorra/Orihime (and then Grimm/Hime and Aizen/Hime) stories, but due to some unique events I'm sure I don't even half remember, I became a big enough Ichigo/Orihime fan that I stopped reading Bleach fanfiction altogether. At that time, there weren't very many IchiHime stories, and certainly not enough of the amazingly awesome and well written kind of stories that I like to read. I still don't know what possessed me, but eventually I began writing my own IchiHime fanfiction. I really feel like the worst kind of hypocrite at times too, because I don't particularly like reading IchiHime fanfiction, not even the ones my dearest friends write during contests...I really only enjoy writing them. o_o;; It's a secret I've never dared share with my friends. (Sorry guys, the fanfictions I've forced myself to read during contests and such are all wonderful, I swear! D: I'm just a weirdo...!) My other "confession" is that I WRITE SLOWLY. Ridiculously so. Not only do I write slowly, but I can only write well when I'm inspired. And if my inspiration dies...don't count on an update for a while. (e_e);; For aspiring writers, this is what my literary idol, Karen Marie Moning, has to say. "Read. Read. Read. Then write, write, write. And don't try to write what you think might be the next 'trend.' Write about what matters to you. As a reader, what I respond to in any book is the passion with which the subject matter is handled, and the individual 'voice.' You could tell me the most boring story in the world, but if you're passionate enough about it, and your voice is unique, you'd probably keep me riveted. Be on fire with what you're saying, because if you're not, nobody else will be." Her official website: http://www.karenmoning.com/ Favorite Kubo Tite Answers from Interviews: 000 Q: Do you have any plans to make Ichigo and Rukia a couple? A: I'm not going to confirm nor deny that. (laughs) September 2008 American Shounen Jump Q: For a shonen series, Bleach spends a lot focusing on the emotions and different bonds between the characters. I’m sure you’re asked this a lot, but will we ever see any romance by the end of the series? A: I don’t really intend to make it a romantic story, but it’s one of the aspects of the series, so I put it in here and there. October 2008 Anime Insider Q: What do you think the bond is that these two Ichigo and Rukia have with each other? A: It’s not friendship but it’s not an amorous feeling either. With these two’s relationship, I think there is no other relationship like them in other works where despite both standing in a very close position with each other it is not romance. (laughs) But in this year’s movie there is a scene where Ichigo says Rukia is his “precious nakama” and I think that explains the of their relationship well. (Alternative Translation of the first half): As for the relationship between the two, it's not friendship and it's not romantic either, is it? I wonder if there are relationships in other works where two people are so close to one another while at the same time not receiving any romantic development? (laughs) December 2008 Interview for Bleach Movie III: Fade to Black, Calling Out Your Name Q: Speaking of Ichigo's relationships with his friends, there seems to be a love triangle between Ichigo, Rukia and Orihime. Do you delve more into this in later volumes? A: (laughs) I get asked about that a lot! I don't want to make Bleach into a love story because there are much more exciting things about their personalities and things that they can do instead of getting into the romance aspect of their relationships 2008 (America) Comic Con Q: Your male characters are great, but your female characters are also very strong, interesting women. Are you influenced by strong women in your life when you create these characters? A: I have quite a few female friends who are not physically strong, but mentally, they are really very strong people. 2008 (America) Comic Con Q: From the beginning of the series, the team-up of Ichigo and Rukia was very important to making the series work. How did you plan it out? A: Ichigo obviously needed help because he was developing his talent and strength, and here she was, so I thought they’d be a good match to help each other. October 2008 Anime Insider Q: What do you consider to be Ichigo's greatest strength and his greatest weakness? A: His strength is that he is always considerate and thoughtful. He always thinks about other people's needs. That is a great strength, but it's also his greatest weakness, because worrying about his friends puts him in danger too, sometimes. 2008 (America) Comic Con Q: What will happen to Chad? A: He will have an active role. I am still planning. 2008 JUMP FESTA Q: You seem to use mythical content about death and the afterlife from Japanese folklore. Did any books influence you? A: I can't point to a particular book, but one manga that influenced me when I was small was Saint Seiya published in the U.S. as Knights of the Zodiac, which is based on Greek mythology. Because of it, I started looking into things like myths, monsters and the afterlife. I was reading about them until around junior high school, so they might have been the basis. September 2008 American Shounen Jump Q: Will you ever do an Aizen backstory? A: Will I...? To be honest, I think part of Aizen's appeal is that he's mysterious. It probably wouldn't be good for his character if I revealed everything about him. If I felt the urge to tell, maybe I would, but I'm just not sure right now. September 2008 American Shounen Jump Q: Finally, can you tell us why Aizen’s couch is so big? A: The bigger, the more beautiful! October 2008 Anime Insider Q: Will you feature a back story about Isshin? A: Yes, I will draw it! 2008 (America) Comic Con | |||||||||||
