Artwork For WAITS Currently, there are drawings of: - Hadrian - (three different, key periods in his life) that might add some depth to the character, in the physical sense, - Salazar - (numerous ones, ranging from sketches in my notebook to photoshoped drawings), - Harry - as the Dark Lord, of course (most of these are drawings from a year ago), - Albus Potter - how I imagine him. Thoughts on what I might write next (and some concept notes): -28/10/09 - I have quite a bit of inspiration for Doctor Who!! And... I've begun writing something. Perhaps it'll be a Harry Potter crossover, perhaps not. At the moment, it could go either way. David Tennant is the only Doctor I've really watched. At that, I've only seen about 10 or so episodes of series 1, 2, and 3. Best of luck, please! - For "What Awaits After Death", I have yet to have sufficient inspiration for (of the correct kind, of course) and am pondering how I should continue it, in all honesty. I know I need to continue it (after all, I'm writing this for a friend of mine that's been a great help with the three other fics that I'm writing at the moment and owe her big-time), I'm just not sure how to do it. I left it on quite a dramatic note and I don't know exactly how to top that! - "Harry Potter: Dark Lord, Loving Father" - Working on chapter 16 at the moment... and am drawing a total blank. - "Who Am I to Say?" (also called WAITS) is a fanfiction idea that occurred to me when I was attempting to plot out just how I would re-write "Common Dislikes". Of course, it's different in the sense that Harry and Tom are in a way the same person (so it's a bit like "My Supposed Previous Life" in a way) although there will be another Tom out there, eventually. I suppose that it's an exploration of Tom's character, indirectly, as well as Draco's, in a way, as I'm still getting accustomed to his character for writing purposes even though I've been writing him for over a year, now. (How does that make any sense? I haven't got a clue.) This story is exceptionally harder than the other two that I'm working on currently due to the nature of it: I have to re-read all the books, pretty much, to get a sense for where I need to go with each chapter. Plotting out the changes and how that will effect the overall plot also have to be taken into consideration and thoroughly thought out before-hand and calculated (things aren't in a vacuum, in real life, are they?) individually. For this reason, updates on WAITS will take potentially longer and will be more difficult for me, no matter how many reviews I may get (sorry to those who continually pester me to update -- and don't get me wrong: I love reviews and extensive questions!). Some characters will be introduced from the cannon, as always, that will be least expected to be opposing Harry/Tom in the later years, but we get a first glimpse at this person in chapter three. And I must admit that I hate book one with a passion and have the basics of book 2 parts plotted out, even some of book 3 material, but book 1 is tedious. I owe a lot of the accuracy, etc., of how it's going so far to the HP-Lexicon. Without that site, you wouldn't have a coherent fic -- it might not even exist. - "Mirrors and Shadows" -- something I feel as if I've always wanted to write, just never actually did it. I've always been a fan of Tom as Harry's father in any capacity (more interesting ones are my favourites, of course) and wanted to explore it, eventually. Now that I've started, I'm so pleased with it, and I'm surprised how well chapter two turned out, despite all my doubts about it all. I have some thoughts about how it's going to go, in the more distant future, and vague ideas about how I might end it, but the here and now is more difficult. I'm letting my subconscious mind wild for this one -- I'll let it do all the work. Hah. Now, chapter two... huh, this was an interesting one. I like Ink -- inspired by a pesky cat of my own that refuses to leave me alone while I'm writing. No, nothing special with the cat -- he's just cute and something for Harry to bond with when all else fails him. I've determined that Harry had to go with Tom to Hogwarts, else things would prove to be troublesome and the plot would likely turn uninteresting and loose its point, and I'd rather not focus solely on Harry for this one, as I have in the other two fanfiction that I'm writing. Just.. don't ask -- I needed a good Tom fic to write, and here it is. The question, now, is do I let Harry into Hogwarts early or torture him with lessons in patience? Hmn... -The Rotation: sorry I haven't been working on the fics lately -- school is somewhat of a lame excuse, but... 16 hours? (plus the job and volunteer work?).
