Beta work is done for the most part. Both myself and the lady going over my FOP tale managed to get beyond distracted, so I do apologise for the immense delay on that. I'm currently brainstorming for the next chapter of Morphine. I've got two pages of notes, and a heck of a lot of deciding what I want to use and what I want to throw away. I've always known where it was going to end, I just didn't know how I was going to get there. Anyway. Went to the Mayhem Festival- for Dragonforce and Disturbed, don't really care about the others. Hotter than the dickens that day, luckily the main stage was indoors. Dragonforce has amasing energy, they are a riot to watch, and the lead singer has really great hair. Disturbed lived up to it's name. Do you have any idea how insane it is to see one average looking man ask to see the crowd's fists in the air and see the whole stadium stand up and comply? Never seen anything like it. Next on the list: The Dark Knight.

Still having my betas going over the FOP tale, shouldn't be much longer now. In the meantime I've managed to completely get myself sucked into genealogy. Found out some average things, somethings that made me go "huh, cool", and I also found out that my family changed the spelling of Narin when they came over from Scotland (fyi- I added the "Mc" as Anna Narin just sounds plain). It used to be Nairn. Not a big difference, I know, but interesting to me none the less. I'm also a new Doctor Who addict, and as a long time Get Smart fan: go see the movie. Carell is Maxwell Smart. I do miss Don Adams, though.

Actively working on my Fairly Odd Parents short, believe it or not. I've enlisted the help of a friend to beta read for me (first beta ever) and point out the little things I miss. I usually don't bother with getting too much help as I mainly use my stories as excerises, but I felt I needed it this time around. Wanda's head was easy for me to get into, not so much Cosmo, so I pulled my friend in to make sure I keep him in character. The yet to be titled story is technically finished as far as a beginning, middle, and "end" are concerned, and it's all rewrites and polishing that's left to be completed. I also put "end" in parenthesis because depending on how you fair readers take it, I may or may not see fit to add a second chapter. Who knows, I intend to leave it with the subtleties I wrote in hinting at the bigger picture, but if too much confusion comes from it I will act. Although, knowing me, I'll end up explaining myself in email.

Still here, still keeping with my amazing slacker abilities and that's honestly it, at least for Child of Mine. It has an ending, still in my head, I just haven't been able to muster the desire to jot it all down and get it over with although it's been over a year. I've started a Fairly Odd Parents short. Well, it's a short right now, but I may end up having to extend it a bit because as is it may be a little confusing. I'm seeing at least a second chapter to explain the why, how, and what of the overall plot. I don't plan on posting it for at least another week as I want to hash out all the kinks and what not. As of late, I've been reading a lot of Red Eye stories. Anyway, thanks for readin'.

Holy crap, I had not realized I was almost at the one year mark from when I last posted anything for Morphine, and I didn't even look at when I last updated Child of Mine. These stories are not forgotten, they've just been waylaid by the distractions that keep cropping up in my life. This last year, more so than others, has been one thing after another. Hopefully I'll catch a break and find the desire to write again, because I hate leaving things unfinished. Skip ahead a few hours . . . . I posted a short chapter nine for Morphine because inspiration finally broke through on how to fix the first paragraph. No joke, it sat unmoving because I hated the opening lines and couldn't find the right mixture needed to make it work. I would have waited and finished the rest of what I had down on paper, but I thought ten months of absolutely nothing except teaser posts in here were trial enough. I've also been tinkering around with trying my hand at writing The Chipmunks, but it's been so long since I last saw either of the cartoon series' that I'm incredibly hesitant about it. I have The Chipmunk Adventure and Chipmunks Go to the Movies, but those don't tell you much about the subtleties of the characters themselves. Although I think Miss Miller's personality can be summed up wonderfully in Adventure just from the few scenes she's in, her's are the best. Best I can hope for is that CN picks up the 1983 show and starts running it again to ride the tail end of the movie hype. Coincidentally, I did like the movie, but David Seville Jason Lee is not.
