Author has written 47 stories for Saint Seiya, Lord of the Rings, Silmarillion, Twelve Kingdoms, and Weiss Kreuz. About Me I'm a nineteen year old girl from the US. I have lots of names, depending on which language one is using. Amy in English, Babette in French, Lin in Chinese, Nozomu in Japanese, Saislasse in Elvish, Kiki on SSF, Cookie to Melro, and Kikipixie to Niteskye. From my penname, I've been nicknamed Auro, Aura, and AE. I like to write and play the piano. My muse is named Elric, though he has lots of other names, again depending on which language one is using. I won't list those here. He's blond and has grey wings and loves donuts as much as Vash from Tri-gun. Some of my favorites: Saint Seiya, Lord of the Rings, Captain Herlock, Juvenile Orion, V for Vendetta, Hero, Pirates of the Caribbean, Young Blades (the TV show), Il Divo, Clay Aiken, Natalie Portman, Tony Leung Chiu-Wai, Ewan McGregor, Clive Owen, Sir Laurence Olivier, James Mason, The Scarlet Pimpernel, Rebecca, Soul Calibur II and III, RPGs, Phantom of the Opera, Beauty and the Beast: The Musical, webcomics (Inverloch, Wander, 9th Elsewhere), Petshop of Horrors, Alichino, King of Hell, Aeon Flux, House, Journey to the West, Jackie Chan Adventures, Le Chevalier D'Eon, Oh My Goddess, Moulin Rouge, Weiss Kreuz, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Qin's Moon, Gorgeous Carat, Platinum Garden, Meine Liebe I'm not going to list my favorite characters, because that would involve most of the cast of Saint Seiya (besides other stuff). There are only five characters of importance in Saint Seiya that incite my intense dislike: Tatsumi (mean and annoying), Zelos (annoying and dumb), Pandora (annoying and evil), Lymnades-Kassa (stupid and shady and underhanded...and evil), and Alberich (uh, just plain annoying?). And yes, that means I do like Shiryuu and Hyoga and Seiya and all the other characters I've seen bashed for various reasons. I think they're very human. Saori, by the way, has made it off my list because she has managed, in the course of Hades saga, to redeem herself to the rank of mild dislike, and only at times. Just for fun, some of my favorite couples are: Shunrei/Shiryuu, Ikki/Esmerelda, Aiolia/Marin, Rhad/Pandora, Shun/June, Hilda/Siegfried, Hagen/Freya, Julian/Saori (I don't really like Saori, but Julian fits her well), and Seiya/Miho from Saint Seiya, Eowyn/Faramir and Galadriel/Celeborn from LOTR, Lia/Durand from Le Chevalier D'Eon, and Percy/Marguerite from The Scarlet Pimpernel. I also love Beatrice/Benedick from Much Ado About Nothing, though I won't write any fanfic on that. Pairings I dislike include anything really random, really yaoi, or really randomly yaoi, with the possible exception of Aphro/DM because Aphro is so much a girl. There are occasional shounenai couples I am ok with, but those are very few and far between. I also don't like Pandora/Ikki. I mean, they sort of share a brother, so they're like half-siblings, and Ikki's still obsessed with Esme anyway. By the way, if you're wondering, "really random" means pairings like Frog-Zelosxanyone, or GaladrielxBuffy-the-Vampire-Slayer (I've seen this one, and it scared me). I also write occasionally for Twelve Kingdoms, and, in the future, Le Chevalier D'Eon and Aveyond. I also read from Juvenile Orion, Alichino, Oh My Goddess, Aeon Flux, Young Blades, The Scarlet Pimpernel and occasionally random others such as Dynasty Warriors. Marysues: I do not like Mary-Sues in any form, or any stories that deviate too far from the creator's original intentions. A little rant here: I don't care how original you think your character is--if she is especially beautiful and good at everything and suddenly magically falls into the world of the fandom and bishounen fall in love with her, then that character is a Mary Sue. Even if your writing style is decent and you seem to be an intelligent person, and even if your Mary Sue is really good at academics, and you come up with the obviously original idea to make your Sue fall in love with another OC in fandom world, your story is still a Mary Sue story, and therefore I will not read it, or I will give up trying to slog through it. I won't bug you about it, because I realize some people like writing Mary Sues, and other people like reading them, but don't expect me to join in. My Updates: I apologize for not updating on any of my stories very often; this happens because college requires a lot more time than high school did, and homework still has to come before writing. I especially apologize to those of you who are awaiting updates for One Day, Twelve Months Is A Year, or Until We Meet Again, but those stories take more creative juices than I usually have at a time. I do have a few more fics planned, which I will summarize below. If anyone has interest in them, PM me about it...I may go back to working on them again sooner than planned if there is a lot of interest. Reviews For My Stories: One last thing...if you read my stuff and like it, and want to review, please do so, even if the story was posted forever ago. Because I have my reviews on alert, and I'll be emailed if there are new reviews, even on old stories. I'd love to hear your opinions, so don't worry about the story being old. Lord of the Rings planned/paused fics: Faramir's Journal - is temporarily on hiatus. It is NOT discontinued. If I decide to discontinue it, I will remove it entirely. I just don't have enough time to write already, and would prefer to devote my time to the stories that receive a lot more reviews. I don't want to hear any rants about people not removing their discontinued stories. As I've already explained, it's on hiatus, and therefore if you really really want to see more, you'll have to tell me. Otherwise, I will assume that, as normally, no one cares that much, and it will remain on hiatus until further notice. The Gift - (humor, friendship) Aragorn and Legolas decide one Yule to give their elf-fathers a special present. I have about half a page of this written. Saint Seiya planned fics: Alphabet Soup - (humor/angst) a series of line-drabbles regarding 10 words that start with each letter of the alphabet. If that made any sense. So far, A and S are finished, and B has been started. Still coming up with prompts for the other letters. Some drabbles are funny, others more angst-styled. Occasionally romance-based. Burial - (angst) post-Sanctuary (first season) fic about the Bronze Saints burying the Gold Saints who died in the battle. Of the five sections, I have started two. Inner Sanctuary - (angst, drama) a set of really long stories, each narrated by one of the 14 Gold Saints about his life starting from the day he entered Sanctuary up until the Judgment of the Gods. This may take a while to be ready. Of the fourteen sections, I have started eight, and I have the prologue and epilogue written. The eight I have started are in varying degrees of incompletion. Schoolboys - (humor, romance) Saori decides to send her Bronze Saints and their girls to boarding school, where they meet up with some old friends and experience the typical day-to-day problems of high school. Sort of, but not completely, AU. Inspired by some drawings by Cielo from her devart account. The prologue (over a page) is finished. Only An Ocean Away - (romance, humor) an expansion of the one-shot in Watashi no Kokoro that shares its name, about Julian Solo, Sorrento, and Thetis taking a trip to Athens, where romantic hilarity ensues. The prologue, a little over a page, has been written. Love Makes People Fools - (romance, angst) five stories about the pain and foolishness love brings. Includes "The Green Jewel" (June/Shun), "Your Ocean" (Marin/Aiolia), "Until the End of Time" (Athena/Poseidon), "Falling" (Siegfried/Hilda), and "I Never Loved You" (Rhada/Pandora). The Athena and Pandora stories are finished, and the Siegfried story is started. Weiss Kreuz planned fics: Shards - (angst, friendship) Four letters, written by the members of Weiss, each bearing different pains. A rather Omi-centric post-Gluhen story about loneliness, loss, and identity. Chapter 1 is completed, and 2 and 3 are begun, but 4 is not. D.S. Al Fine - (angst, friendship) at the end of Gluhen, both Schwarz and Weiss find themselves reaching a conclusion--breaking, parting, moving on, and looking back. The Schwarz half is started, the Weiss half is not. School Conference Day - (humor) a non-serious story about what might happen if Omi and Nagi had school conferences, and what their dysfunctional "parents" might do at these conferences. Only planned. The Assassin Nobody Liked - (humor, parody) a beautiful and talented girl with a tragic past shows up at the Koneko, demanding to be the fifth member of Weiss, Calico. Unfortunately, none of the Weiss want her around, and, it seems, neither does Schwarz. A Marysue parody. Only planned. Other planned/future fics: Never - (angst, romance) for the anime series "Le Chevalier D'Eon", about Durand and his feelings for Lia. Unfortunately, I need a quote to finish this oneshot, which means I need to rewatch the show. Self-Delusions - (angst, romance) for the PC RPG Aveyond I, it's a oneshot about how Lars feels at the "happily ever after" part of the story, and how Rhen doesn't see any of it. It's finished. A Moment In Time - (romance) for the Aveyond PC RPG series, it's a oneshot about Tei'jal and Galahad, and whether Galahad really hates the vampress as much as he claims. Also finished. Just a few serious notes: 1. Please, please do not ask me to beta shounen-ai fics for you, unless you know me and the maybe two or three pairings I am ok betaing. I would love to beta anything else, but I'm really not comfortable with nearly all shounen-ai pairings, especially in Saint Seiya, and I always feel really bad when I agree to beta something, find out later that it's shounen-ai, and have to send it back to the author, saying I can't do it. Another rant here: I have nothing personal against yaoi, or yuri, or whatever. I have nothing against homosexuality. I in fact have very little against anything. However, I think some yaoi/yuri pairings are absolutely ridiculous. Just throwing that out there. (There are very occasional exceptions, but only when I think the pairing is decently plausible (a very rare occurence), and the fic is extremely well-written.) 2. If you do not like what I've written, I'm sorry. I only post my writing that I think is reasonably entertaining. If you think it's not, there's nothing I can do, and I'm sorry, but I would appreciate it if you do not flame me. Also, please, please do not use my stories' reviews to criticize movies/shows/books or characters from these. It really bothers me when people purposely go to something they don't like and write bad comments. There are a lot of things I don't like too, and a lot of writing that I don't believe has value, but I choose to do the mature thing and ignore them instead of writing criticisms all over. If you don't like something I've written, the best way to deal with it is to ignore me. If I have a fic that no one is reading or reviewing, I will discontinue it automatically. Thanks! | |||||||||||
